Doctor, thank you, I hope you understand my question. My thumb was injured in the flexor tendon and it is moving up and down with flexibility, but I cannot do the IP movement (bending the thumb) only and this is the problem I have. I hope you can help me, please, Doctor. And I am already a subscriber and I love your videos because they are wonderful and inspire hope and optimism ⁦❤️⁩⁦❤️⁩⁦❤️⁩

I’m so glad I found this woman! I don’t even know how I ended up on her page but glad I did. So I am struggling with how many times a day! I learned my lesson with trying too hard week one after K-wires and cast were removed from proximal phalanx CRPP surgery and caused wrist tendonitis and pain. So then I had to back off my exercises and got a steroid shot. I wanted to jump in and go hard but now I know it was wrong. I’m now about 7 weeks past that removal date and was told 3-5 times a day by one CHT and every hour by a different CHT. I was immobilized way too long 53 days due to Xmas/NY holidays and I believe my joint stiffness is due to this because my non broken fingers are basically as stiff as the broken one and the thumb which was out was fine. If it were due to surgery only one finger would be a problem. I can’t work w/o my hand and I need it to do delicate specific work so I’m 100% motivated to heal to as close as 100% as possible. I cannot lay my hand flat (fingers bent at PIP) and the PIPs won’t go straight! I’m hypermobile so to compare hands I have too far to go. It’s such an unexplainable feeling to not be able to stretch my fingers straight, it drives me crazy. And scares me. And I can’t grasp or grip either. Anyway, by night time I’m so much better with a days worth of exercises then morning comes and I wakeup on the set of Groundhog’s Day! It gets me down. But I just keep trying. I got diagnosed w/ CRPS mostly the physical symptoms vs allodynia but I am working so hard despite to get ROM back. Seriously so dedicated and can’t really work now so have time. I like when she says , “don’t worry if you can’t do this yet” because then I don’t get sad. She’s calming which is good for the emotional support which I had no idea would be a thing once a cast was off. I thought I’d be ready to get back to life, little did I know…

Does this apply before stitches have come out? I am 2 days post op and Doc just said to “wiggle my fingers”. I feel I should be doing more?

    Hi, I have some questions:
    1. Could you recommend some exercises for strengthening the grip of my hand, I'm practicing wakeboarding and I really need strong grip, I've just been through boxers injury and after 3 months I'm returning back to the sport but my grip is kind of loose and after a short session my hand ached a bit.
    2. What exactly is the swelling, why it disappears so slow?
    3. Is it true that after a broken bone heals it becomes more strong in place of the former injury?
    4. How to know when my hand fully recovered?
Thanks for your nice videos :)

I am not sure of your question. Is it your finger or your thumb that doesn't move? If you cut a tendon and it is not moving you need to return to your doctor right away!

I bought a finger splint to straighten my middle finger 24/7. My finger nerves was sparkling from day to night. I wonder it was at normal reaction or not. When will be good time to exercise my finger? Do I need to wait the treatment was done after 6 weeks later? Or can I take it out it anytime to exercise and put it back to my finger
