Why is Whiplash Hard to Treat?

  • Whiplash injury is not just a sprain/strain -- even with seemingly mild initial forces, a person can have many months of pain and dysregulation to perceptual, cognitive, and autonomic systems.
Is there a clue in this complexity? A way we can approach whiplash treatment that targets its core dynamics? Here's my first video in prep for next Saturday's launch of my online course for Whiplash Treatment. (Details: bit.ly/3yPXXVT)
The theme of this video is restoration ecology -- focusing your attention and effort on feedback loops, scaled experiments, and collaborating with the system in real-world context.
We need to understand how the initial injuries of whiplash give rise to self-perpetuating dysregulations to the immune and nervous systems. If we can arrest these feedback loops, we may have a chance at accelerating a person's recovery. (If we can't affect the feedback loops, our short-term fixes will dissolve and no progress will be made.)
Please me know what you think of this video! And stay tuned for the next one. I'm excited to prep for this class, and I hope some of my manual therapist friends can make it.

Another very important part of this is getting to a point where you realize no matter how bad it is your body isn’t working against you it’s working to protect you and what the mind is repeating

This man gets it !!! Everything I complained about I had no idea this was related to whiplash I got a concussion so that's what I attributed everything to besides my stiff neck and difficulty lifting my arms at times because my shoulders will feel weak and the intense pain that I will feel in my neck into in between my shoulder blades I've been suffering for 7 years since my injury I feel like there's just something missing I do hate therapy light therapy but it's not better yet cold packs to go to sleep

    Hi Michael,
I’m checking your online courses to see if you have any pre-recorded webinars, however I’m not able to access any.
    Do you sell pre-recorded material?

I cannot believe my ears! I have such difficulty communicating and getting the quality of treatment and recognition of the severity of symptoms... I've had multiple repeated whiplash incidents and FINALLY someone with perceptive knowledge intricately and accurately is drawing attention with understanding to this plaguing condition. I practiced massage but was forced to retire. What is your opinion on eurowave shockwave for treatment? I have degeneration. Thank you! Sharing.......

Can you tell us more about the accident that caused the injury and what problems you are still facing?
