As someone who randomly decided to see the difference between these two types of vision, this was an amazing video
Thanks for watching
Head mounted night vision - and thermal (with a bridge) usage cases, long format. Is a video I would love to see more of.
My favorite part was the two subjects and their antics
They definitely helped provide some entertainment value.
Amazing video, love the side by sides of the same scene. Currently shopping and this makes it much easier to know what to do. Thanks!
They are each great options, but in their own way
Great video!
Yes let’s see more videos of NV and thermal
Thanks for watching. I’ll be circling back to this soon enough!
More Please. Thermal vs. Night Vision and their limitations.
More to come! I like the suggestion of really testing their limitations further to compare.
Amazing video!
Thank you!
Thanks
Thanks for watching
Really great comparison and well done video.
I'm struggling to choose between Binos or a PVS14 with Helmet Thermal.
I’ll be covering that topic soon. Stay tuned
Great idea but I have to be critical. Comparisons were not fair representations for comparison because the subjects were at different distances from the scope\cam. Unless the wre actually at equal distances from the camera and the appearance of range differences is an optical illusion of some kind? Thank you. >
Do you have/could you make any videos that compare the two and how well they can see fine details such as stop-signs, billboards, or signage on cars?
With thermal you’ll see the outline of the shape as already shown in this video. Sometimes you can read text with thermal if the text itself has absorbed enough heat from the sun (if text is a darker color than the surface it’s on).
How about a 2 or 3 or even 5x magnifier on the night vision monocular. Thermals most of the time have 2x or 3x base magnification. Not sure what the contractor has. This might be cool to see.
I did consider that, but did my best to match the field of view for this comparison.
This is very helpful as i'm looking into the contrast between. Maybe you could provide a closer look into the differences of seeing a persons face? I know nvgs are clearly better for that, but want to see a good example of thermal too if poosible. Appreciate you! :)
You’re not going to get a ton of details on a face, just the shape mainly. Up super close you can make out facial hair, eyelashes, but not beyond 10 yards in my experience.
I like Blue Phosphor Thermal C it's hardly ever used for some reason.
Great comparison video! Very educational.
Thanks for supporting this content!
Can you mount thermal and nights vision to drones
Technically
👍
7:13 is that a hs503?
No, Eotech
@@4MRRanchNice! You got the high end stuff.
Naked eye would catch most nv advantages
Ukraine was taught us that unless clearing rooms thermal wins.
Valid
Oh look surprise surprise another night vision versus thermal video from a hunting channel that completely glosses over navigation as if the ability to move unnoticed is of zero importance.
As this was a comparison video, both technologies allow for you to move unnoticed to animals so I didn’t find it to be a key comparison point. I didn’t want this video to be hours long going over every single concept relatable to these types of optics.
@@4MRRanch That's my point. You made an NV vs Thermal comparison from a hunting standpoint. I'd be willing to bet that most of viewers who come to this video over the years will not be hunters which you are aware of. It's an intentional misguidance.
Honestly, I am not sure what your point is. You specifically want me to mention you can use these devices to move around in the dark without being detected? And I’m misguiding people intentionally by not stating that? I’m genuinely confused on what you want here..
Also my content is geared more for hunters and recreational shooters.. the channel is “4MR Ranch” not 4MR military academy..
@@4MRRanch 🙄
As if? Why don't you make some content then? You make a video about "moving unnoticed". Punk.
