@redcar74 you are amazing uploading these old crimewatch episodes. They used to give me nightmares as a kid and some photo fits still traumatise me but I love the nostalgia. You legend!
The first case is of Sarah Williams, who later went on to murder Sadie Hartley as she wanted her lover. From a 2016 news article: In 1995, aged 13, Williams was allegedly abducted near Chester and bundled into the boot of a car before being dumped 40 miles away. Despite an appeal on Crimewatch the culprit was never caught and, even at the time, doubts were cast over her account It is suggested by friends that she faked the kidnap to cover-up an illicit encounter with a married man and, in light of her conviction, police may now re-investigate the crime.
@151mattwilson I know, I remember watching a case about her and when I went into it more via articles, I saw that. I don't think the case was reopened.
@redcard74 Hey how you doin? I recently discovered you & have been chain-watching these CWUK uploads. You may or may not have noticed some of my comments/replies. Just wanted to address you directly to say a big thank you for providing us with such fantastic, nostalgic & educational viewing! Great to share with my 30 yr old son! TH-cam & the world needed Crimewatch UK! With much gratitude 🙏🏻❤️ Wishing you a Merry Christmas 🎄🎁🙏🏻🤗😘
In the first case? There never was one as the girl (Sarah Williams) likely made it up to cover up an affair she was having with a married man. She later went on to brutally murder another woman because she wanted said woman's lover for herself.
When did some bright spark in the CW production team suddenly have a lightbulb moment and suggest that it might be a good idea to have the 0500 600 600 number displayed _throughout_ the programme?

He kidnapped a child with another child in the car. The monsters of this world will never cease to disgust me
It didn’t happen. The lassie made it up as she is a pathological liar. Went on to become a murderer herself. Sarah Williams is her name.

@@151mattwilson it does sound like that. And what a mind at such an age if untrue.
Later that same month, an almost identical report was received from another child, so she may not have lied. She's still a scary murderer though.
Excellent, another episode 👏
This episode was uploaded last week by another uploader, but has mysteriously disappeared today, until now
Loved that bit at the end!
Yes, Saint Nick looks completely baffled!
