Nicola Dixon was murdered by Colin Waite. A father of three who had a list of charges for assault. In the inquest they ascertained that injuries on Nicola's neck meant she had managed to escape Waite, before he caught up with her and raped and killed her. Following the murder Waite wound up getting jailed for breaking his missus' jaw, his DNA swab was incorrectly packaged so was deemed unusable and while he was imprisoned they didn't get another DNA swab from him. At the time Birmingham police had been checking the DNA database for matches with the DNA found at the scene, but Waite's slipped through the net. It wasn't until Waite was released and then arrested again for a road rage incident that his DNA was taken and they found the match. One positive legacy from this case was that it made DNA swabs from prisoners a matter of course.
It also led to a change in the law so that 'spoiled' DNA swabs could be retaken from the relevant person/suspect.
Waite being BLACK.
Carol Fyfe, the landlady of the Prince Arthur, was murdered by Gregory Mills a 28 year old Australian barman. Mills had been employed by Fyfe at the pub, she had put him up and invited him for Christmas giving him presents. Mills worked at the pub for just under a year, before leaving a fortnight before the murder. Fyfe had caught a balaclava clad Mills raiding the safe, where he knew where the keys were kept, Fyfe managed to remove the balaclava and was battered with a rolling pin and then stabbed to death. Mills skipped the country and was arrested for speeding by a state trooper in Colorado, state trooper Mike Miller ended up being given a certificate of commendation by the Met for his police work. Colorado had a computerised wanted list and because Interpol had launched a three month operation Mills' name was on that. He got life imprisonment
His photo fit sure was pretty accurate too!
Do me a favour. Could you go under all the crimewatch videos and give us an update? It's the most frustrating part when you don't know what happened.😂😂
RIP Nichola I still miss you so much beautiful girly fly high angel ❤️❤️
Shocking so sad
i started to watch this episode forgetting that one of the presenters was jill dando seeing her and knowing what happened 2 years later its hard to believe that she's no longer around........
RIP Nicola .
Perps sure changed from the earlier episodes in the late 90s. Not surprised
loved the cream coloured outfit worn by jill in this episode she looked immaculate such a part of british life she has left such a huge void that can never be filled...........
18:30 aww I miss video shops 😢
Yes … nice popcorn from one certain chain, uh? Yummy.
Watching Jill Dando appealing for witnesses to a murder is sad. When you think two years after this in 1999 she was herself murdered on her doorstep.Yet 25 years later her murder is still unsolved.
Rest in peace Jill❤
Outstanding witness who produced the e-fit of Greg Mills 👏
While the Earls Court Attempted Rape (1:26) is a very serious matter, the video-fit of the assailant does look like Rav Wilding.
Certainly does … Rav The Chav!
Magic.......Sunday viewing...Sorted.
Bastards.
Spice girls playing in this, it brings back some good memories. Tragic case though
I danced with Baby Bunton once. True story.
And blockbuster video.....very retro.
36:16 this actor looks familiar is he the same guy in September 1995 reconstruction the friend who finds the body but also the murderer in the crimewatch file party to murder about the Cardiff schoolgirl murder
Was the motive murder made to look like Robbery. As was said a senseless murder .And who took over the pub?.did they hire someone?
A senseless murder. What, as against a ‘sensible’ one? …
Anyone know why my TV isn’t providing Ceefax? …
Where exactly is ‘Ales Court’? Nice wig by the way, Saint Nick.
a wide boy exhaust lol
Wide bore. Meaning the bore or size of the pipe.
Source: was one of those annoying boy racers back then.
@@xraystanThey were just big bores …
GMT. Jusus, what planet have you been living on?!!
Cannot tell what you are trying to say.
DCI Kelvin Roberts looks remarkably like a younger version of the actor Alfred Burke of Public Eye fame …
Every Episode was 100% Fictional B.S.
Prove me wrong with FACTS.
Cobblers.

Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !"
Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam ."
Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!"
Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..."
Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!"
Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky."
Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
yes you've already done that Mr Stoner, don't you remember?
Just when you think he may have commented something half decent, you find he's copied & pasted the same old boring nonsense again.
