It was bought for $440k, price drop to $410k & price dropped again to the current price of $399k. Mind boggling to me when you can get something similar for substantially less. The water runoff from the hills on all four sides must be horrible. Ugg, no thanks.
About 3 yrs ago , me and my wife gave less than that for 3800 sq ft house on 30 acres, lol . Beautiful area , but ridiculous pricing ! ( we're in the NW corner of NC , about 4 hrs from Gatlinburg/Sevierville area )
With this house sitting right at the base of a mountain in the back, I am certain there is a moisture and mold issue under the house. For that kind of money, I could certainly get an inspector check floor structure.
I love what just said. I love, LOVE the fact that you don't have neighbors anywhere near you, except the one up the hill. Oh well. You are living my dream. Congratulations!! California is a cesspool of crap. That's why I am trying to get out of here. OMG, and you have a ring camera. Awesome.
I could see wood rot/black and the wood coming off where the corner of the home is directly on the ground…would make me concerned about the foundation.
Need to learn your products if you're going to try and sell them. The wall in the kitchen isn't Board & Batton it was best I could tell from the dark video was most likely Bead board. The exterior of the cabin was board and Batton.
You are right! My daughter has a 3-bedroom bath and a half all brick totally renovated house with a block two car garage that can park four cars. The house sits on 4 1/2 acres of beautiful park like property with views of East TN beautiful Cherokee Lake in Grainger County. She is only asking $375,000.
Being from the West end of the State, it amazes me how those East TN Hillbillies over value their Real Estate. This place is nothing more than a Sharecropper's shack in a Ravine. And believe me, unless you are from East TN you don't want to live there. It's a real life version of the Movie "Deliverance".
Very true! I live in East TN, and prices are unreal. My good friend just sold a 50 acre tact of heavily wooded land with some Clinch River bottom land for crops. He priced it at $150,000 to a neighbor, but he declined saying the price was too high. My friend then called a realtor who listed his 50 acres for $350,000. It sold in a week for full price to a family from Florida. This is what is happening in East TN.
I was born in Kingsport..I do love East TN..my uncle went back to East TN a few yrs back bought near Townsend…we also had ancestors from Cades Cove the Oliver’s…to me that is a steep price for that property….
Over priced, needs a new drainage system from The Hills surrounding it, you can look at the road and see that there’s been washout done to it, I’d give 170 for it not worth anymore
@@Kathleen-hd4ee are you considering buying or selling Real Estate in the Smokies? I’m a local Realtor, living near Old Mill in Pigeon Forge and do property visits for Clients (service after the sale) for easy stuff and have Contractors to lean on for tougher stuff.
I visit properties requested by clients when they’re considering a purchase and call out what I see as a non-contractor person. Are you considering buying or selling Real Estate in the Smokies?

Nice home, except for the fact it is in Tn. The worst education, jobs, medical services and political environment. Buy in Tn if you want to lose your freedom. Not worth it, no matter how nice the house is. Plus you have to deal with the uneducated population.
I’m sorry you feel that way. Living in Tennessee and being what I would consider well educated, I think you are the one who has issues. Yes Tennessee has its problems, but so does every other state! Before you go blasting my home, perhaps you should be asking yourself what about your state and its problems!! Property is high everywhere since Covid!! If you don’t believe me, check out the real estate market in other states!!!
Vanderbilt is one of the top hospitals in the country. When disaster strikes, people are lined up the next morning to help. Many great paying job opportunities here. No state income tax. I moved here from California, on wish I had done it years ago.
I can't imagine a log home in TN without a wood burning fireplace. Those are right out for me. Absolute deal breaker.

This property is an overnight rental, making it worth more than a house that is not allowed to be an overnight rental.
@@jasonhopson72803 years ago was about the best timing for buying a house. Next best day is today.
Oh man, -17.5 percent year over year. Good thing I didn’t pick today a year ago!

Looks like an area that could get flooded out. Doesn't look like it's worth more than 125.000 if that!
Wow ! If the power is out you better invest in some kind of generator or solar power if this happens frequently.
how in the world could a tiny place like that be worth $400k, people are nuts
400k? You just saved me all kinds of time. I owe you a beer, brother.
$185K at best

We locals are entirely priced out of Tennessee.
My son had to quit his well paying job back home and return to live with me in Illinois.
Ridiculous.
Wayyyy to expensive
Please buy our mistake, PLEASE BUY OUR MISTAKE!!!
the inside actually looks really nice and taken care of
When it comes down to what it is worth we will consider it. 2 bedroom 1 bath for $399,000 no way.

water run off ? never thought of that, must be a big problem !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks like a piss poor place to build a house. Lots of warning signs. The price is also way too much.
Water runoff must be a nightmare
so are the Local Hillbillies that live there. Not a good place to live.
Needs a total make over for that kind of money. No gutters, rain water a problem here.
looks like it might be little bit buggy !!!

Call the hollow or in Tennessee a holler
Thank you! Cute place.
I wish that I could find a place like that because we like that's house 🏡. John E. May-0
Why don't you show the crawl space or did I miss that? Thanks!
Its too close to the road. I can just picture someone speeding like crazy and leaving the road airborne just to go through the house.
Almost thought it was California for that price.
UGH! rat traps
Looks to me like this was an Air B&B property.
How much are they asking?
No laundry room ?
The camera movements scanning from side to side is obnoxious to watch.
Thanks for the feedback!
@happy, Made dizzy and sick to my stomach had to stop watching

a well perhaps
It's the area driving the price up, definitely not the house.
The area looked kind of distressed to me. The road leading to the property is crap. I don't see what would make it so desirable.
I would love to rent a cabin up there who do I need to get in touch with
The house is 20ft from the street at the most...no thanks

Termite shack
# 999 x 999 .
What size is the property and what is the asking price?
Really, that, that would be nice to know!

Your car or truck will always be dirty and that isn't wide enough for 2 cars to pass each other. Poor location and way too much money.
