That went straight to my favorite list. Never have I heard the clarity of the Arpeggiata enriched with such an amount of emotion without losing its structure. What a wild ride, thank you for sharing this with us.
Thank you for bringing these old instruments to life. In 1996, amidst a passion for Flamenco and on a trip to London, I visited the V&A museum. I made straight for the stringed instrument section in the hope of seeing some of the old guitars. I was astounded at the variety of stringed instruments in the cabinets.
Words fail me…sooo sublime… in another realm of mystical joy… thank god for artists like you two to lift our broken hearts into the radiance of this sound…🐬🙏💐🌒
A pure Awesomess. This really takes the compositions to the next level, yet as low as a guile of a human being, a pesant, can it comprehend. Greetings from Juva, Finland 51900
I have listened to all the videos you have uploaded so far. Can't help coming back to this one again and again. I compose music and would some day like to work with you if I have something that calls for a theorbo, lute or an old guitar. Thank you.
What a wonderful playing!!! Thanks!!! I play renaissance lute since 6 months and your videos are great lessons to me. CIAO !!! (Attilio Virgilio from Rome-IT)
Wonderful playing on wonderful instruments. It's funny though, for the really profoundly different appearance of these baroque instruments if you close your eyes you would think it's a pair of modern classical guitars.
I feel like I should be riding away from camera on horseback, in the closing static shot of a great western movie, while credits roll. I mean this with the absolute greatest of affection for the piece and the players.
Ah such delicacy, as only Kapsberger would do, the avoidance to the ovbious and the harmonies only a poet of the Music could create. Im not a religious men at all but when l hear music from the Rennaisance, especially this composer l believe in Divinity
I’m playing it on a ten cords classical guitars, and so glad to discover what you did understand and revived of this master piece, so modern for a composer from the XVI century, unbelievable.
What an interesting piece! Although written centuries ago, this arrangement reminds me very much of Michael Nyman's music for Peter Greenaway's films, which is often inspired by pieces from the Baroque and Classical periods, but often with added melodic lines and punchier rhythms.
Which comes very close to what this is, actually. I haven't studied the source material, so do correct me if I'm wrong, but the guitar melody was added by the artists in this case. Making it my favourite interpretation (or, should I say, arrangement?) of this piece by a long shot.
@@drownthedays Yes, having listened to several other videos of the "orthodox" version, I think the added upper melody these performers have enhances the interest and attractiveness of this piece--and I think the original composer would probably have enjoyed it, too!
Among all the horrible things some people are doing to each other sometimes, there is also THIS. This is also human, and real, and shared. Let's hold on to things like this, and be grateful to those who make this possible. Maria Wilgos and Klaudyna Żołnierek, thank you.
Felicitaciones . Esperamos mas interpretaciones.
Lovely Spanish style duo w a full SATB on arch-lute and vihuela, played by two lovely women, that could not be have been played on one instrument w the right dynamic range until the pianoforte of the late Renaissance, on the Queen of Instruments -- polyphony so expressive and tender. Thank you, ladies and Kapsberger.
that is music!
That my friends is what a realistic 16th century jam session was like.
Better than modern jam sessions

Thank you so much! Mery from AbsoLutes duo
I'm impressed.
Beautiful music by beautiful ladies. Thank you.
The addition of the guitar makes for an interesting change when I am only used to hearing the song with theorbo solo.
Gracias. Siempre en aprendizaje. 👍❤🎧🎼🎶🎶🎵🎶
That’s a guitar? It’s shaped like one but has 9 or 10 strings but is nothing like the 10 string guitars I’ve seen before.
@@juleswins3 It's a baroque guitar.

Magnifique. Très touchant. Bravo et merci.
Very very beatiful
utifil
My apologies, I should have expressed my admiration for the playing above my interest in the instruments. I am back because I saved this for that.
L'air est d'une étonnante modernité. Merci pour cette découverte !
Wandering harmonies without bounding principles. Creative mind of composer. Execution not requiring comments. Moving the soul
Meraviglioso.
Incredible !

Enchanting...a lot of finger stretching l see. 😃😊😃👍 Bravis 👏👏👏
e creano deliziose armonie
The 4:20 part is amazing. Greetings from Finland
