Kevin O'Leary is the type of "connoisseur" who sees a Rolex on the wrist of some mumble rapper and starts to believe that it is the epitome of high horology. Seems like a nice enough chap but it's clear that he doesn't really know anything about the less trendy/flashy Maisons.
Props to the interviewer, the guest, but mostly to videographer who put this together. It looks like a professional video you would see on netflix or even TV. Awesome stuff Teddy, moving up in the world quite a bit for sure.

This is how I approach my watches, not what is popular, trendy, or will retain the most value, but rather what watches speak to me when I pick them up and handle them. That watch that makes an impression on me, not how it impresses anyone else.
Summed up my thoughts exactly with this format. Doing a video like this could not come off well if not done right, but I think this also showed Kevin's true colors as a collector too.

Kevin aces it by his emphasis on the dials (and agree about the beauty of a blue dial). Of course the heart of a watch is the movement, but the dial presents what the movement is doing. Looking at the exhibition is almost hypnotizing but I just don't see the point, because you have to have the watch off your wrist to see it.
Hi Teddy I have to give you a high five for the concept idea if going watch shopping with a celebrity and a watch collector to understand how they feel about watches. The editing is fantastic great shots. You sir have a great mind and are responsible for the growth of the watch community well done.

@ajloveswatches well we argued about the price and weight of the buckle. So not sure why you were mentioning 100 grams and 3500 usd for those 100 grams if you thought buckle was 10 grams. You would have said 10 grams and 350 usd in that case.

Just rewatched this and Teddy really knocked it out of the park. I will never, touch any of these watches, yet I find it interesting. I agree with Kevin, I love to look at the watch faces. I don't like watches tricked out in diamonds.
