To everyone saying my reasons for not being excited for switch (2) aren't valid, here they are. Reason 1, I have more options when it comes to handheld devices. Reason 2, I don't like Nintendo's current and presumed to be future online service. Reason 3, Nintendo seems to step into every console generation with weak hardware. These are all just My opinions and you're more than welcome to make fun of them for whatever reason. Again, I'm just some idiot on the internet with an opinion.
There is only one reason to not be excited and that is that they haven't given you a reason to be excited, everything else is just some things you don't like about the industry. They haven't even revealed the thing yet so of course there is nothing to be excited about.
1. you really don't some switch games don't work on steam deck 2. yet you were glazing Gamepass something that's literally over $200 yearly 3. with switch 2 being leaked to be series S level and with DLSS look better than series s and close to PS5 this argument falls flat and this means witch 2 is gonna be at least 3x more powerful than steam deck
Many gamers don't get it, and I can understand. But let me just share a quote by the late Satoru Iwata: "In the end, if the next generation of consoles only represents beefed-up technology, there will not be much of a future. Video games are meant to be just one thing: Fun! Fun for everyone."
True, But the competition does it better. Aye rather buy a steam deck over the switch 2. It's knot just graphic. The features are isle so better. Switch does have Internet, but it's a tablet 🤦 Each generation has less game, less features ( miiverse) and higher prices. Aye bought every Nintendo console, but I'm knot interested inn switch two. Aye decided two switch two PC gaming.
I'm excited by it all though. I have a high end gaming PC, gaming laptop, steam deck, ps5, switch and a ton of other older consoles. I don't see a reason (besides money if someone can't afford more than one console/device) to be like... "well now I'm not hyped for Nintendo anymore because of the Steam Deck". I'm constantly switching between all my devices. I would really bored if I just chose one and was like yeah the Steam Deck is it... no more Nintendo. Obviously when I got my Steam Deck or my PS5 for a few months that was my main device but eventually it all balances out. I've seen many people get super hyped for their latest device and be like "this is the one"... until that next device comes out then suddenly their opinion changes. I also feel like there's this need for some people to counteract the hype. The "hype cycle" for the Switch 2 has drug on for so long online because of the constant need for social media creators to pump out daily content and people are counter-acting. As soon as the Switch 2 comes out those people will be right back on the hype-train.
Honestly gaming has just gotten more inconvenient with time gonna download massive updates and the console is useless with out internet. Digital is not more convenient anymore when games are like 100 gb each and you can only fit like 5 on the console or pc at once. The death of physical especially with how big the games are now is a mistake. Yes if its old or indie games you can fit like 100s of those on a single hardrive but for modern games physical would be way more convenient if they put the whole game on the disc.
"The truth is AAA games are not worth 70 dollars, they were never even really worth 60 dollars to be honest" truer words have never been spoken, ladies and gentlemen.
@Jelly_shy_guy_man good thing we already have 1000's of retro games readily available. Video game crash ain't gonna effect us when all we have to lose out on is bad games.
If it is a handheld i’m not gonna be happy. I want something actually new, if the rumors so far are true it’s truly disappointing that we waited 8 years for the same thing but bigger and more powerful. Switch 2 looks like a pro console. Nintendo don’t make console sequels often and when they do, the console is really different. It’s visually different from the previous console. Wii U looked different from the Wii and it had a gamepad, 3ds was noticeably different from the ds, but the switch 2 only is slightly bigger and has an extra button. I don’t want another switch after 8 years, i want a whole different idea.
see i disagree. the 3DS was just the DS with bigger screens , better graphics and 3D. the switch 2 just needs better graphics and better motion controls and it’ll sell. Metroid 4 is going to be an awesome launch title.
@@Hypno_BPM I know thats all it NEEDS to sell, but i want a new gimmick. It's been 8 years, i dont want to see the same thing again. Im gonna get bored. I do agree though, Metroid Prime 4 is my favorite upcoming game so far. It looks AMAZING, the graphics are halo level now.
I'm not a fan of any console brand anymore, but I think Nintendo's IPs will keep people coming back to them. Other handhelds can get more powerful etc etc, but they'll never have the Nintendo main line games.
I'm not excited either, but for a different reason Nintendo has been very hostile to the gaming community in the last few years, from the way they treat fans and fan-made games, or the brawl star event, to how they attack emulators or how they're abusing the legal system to sue Palworld. After a while I started to feel bad about giving money to this company, so I just can't be excited to buy a console from a company that hates me.
Before clicking on your video I was ready to contradict what you had to say, but you made some very valid points and I just hope we get that little extra something that makes the switch 2 outshine its competitors
I'm happy my video didn't come off to you as the usual rage-bait grifts we get bombarded with each month. Those people aren't hard to find either. Just count how many seconds before they beg you to like And subscribe.
As long as it plays my existing Switch games, but at 60fps rather than 30, then I'm all fine with it -- that's all I want out of it. Well, that and no more stick drift; maybe another half hour of battery life.
I'm not a portable player, small screens don't appeal to me, so I'm absolutely not interested in the Steam Deck. What I want from the Switch 2 is Miiverse, 60 FPS, a new Animal Crossing with a lot more effort put into it, a new Zelda, Mario Kart, F-Zero, Mario, Splatoon etc. Like you said I would like to have GameCube games available, also online games library with N64 etc. should be available with the base online model with no additional costs and the retro games offered should be offered for sale per item too.
Its not tho? The PS2 is the most sold console ever. Even in Nintendo's own records the DS beats the Switch. Don't get me wrong its an incredible recovery from the Wii U but it's not quite up there
10:54 you hit the nail right on the head. And don’t forget that the steam deck and these other portable gaming PCs have access to more Nintendo games then the Switch does and unlike with the Switch, if you already own these old Nintendo games, then you can emulate them on your steam deck legally for FREE. But on the Switch , you have to put up with the Nintendo Online Service BS which the fanboys can’t see past. Unfortunately as long as the Switch 2 is competitively priced, I’m sure people are going to mindlessly buy it like candy and repay to play old games again, meanwhile the PS5 and Xbox series X are rocking backwards compatibility which they unfortunately don’t get the deserved praise for.
I’m just saying but due to some rumours (I know they might be bs) the next gen Nintendo console will be backwards compatible. They do that with most of their “sequel” consoles like the ads and 3Ds. Also the online service ain’t annoying to set up, it’s just bad in almost every other way possible.
These points aren’t very well thought out and are kind of contradictory. You’re complaining about the Switch lacking power yet you’re not excited for the next system that will see a significant power increase? You say the steam deck is all you need? Sure, until it too grows old and falls behind in power; then you’ll have the exact same opinion on that. Graphics and performance can only get so good. As technology advances it’s eventually going to cap out which is why when it comes to the whole games vs graphics debate games wins everytime. Sure, now a days we have consoles that do 4k with ray tracing (which the Switch 2 is rumored to have) I still prefer to go back and play old games because most games from previous eras were just better and are still much more enjoyable to play on original hardware. You saying you’re still going to buy Metroid Prime 4 sums it up perfectly. We all know Nintendo’s going to release those first party titles that make you buy the next system. Sure, third party support and emulations of old games is cool but it’s not the main reason people buy a Nintendo console. Honestly I’m not sure if you’re just kidding yourself or taking advantage of the Switch 2 anticipation to bait clicks with a hot take to boost your channels engagement. If that’s the case then well played sir, you got me. I’m sure we’ll also be getting a “why I’m excited for Switch 2” video after the reveal. lol
@@orangeavenger1597 who the f cares dawg. It’s still going to have killer first party titles from a company that actually takes the time to master the hardware. Are you a gamer or a tech whore?
as for the power thing, at least i personally haven't really liked nintendo's strategy since the wii, where the actual hardware takes a backseat to whatever new thing they want to do with the console. i wish they could coexist instead of us getting something like the switch in 2017 that's only a bit better than a ps3 in terms of hardware. when the switch is compared to the steam deck, there's absolutely no contest, and i wish that wasn't the case because i love nintendo. first party nintendo titles are some of my favorite games ever, but they always force me to be stuck on a system that underperforms compared to all the competitors on the market, which always upsets me because if mario and zelda weren't there, i'd be getting every other possible game in a way better state
@@swr.nezumiI personally don’t mind the power that much (Unless I’m playing Pokémon) but if the switch was up to date in terms of power compared to its competitors, then it would take WAAAAAAAY longer to make first party games. Just look at the exclusives on the Ps5. If Nintendo didn’t continuously pump out first party games then why get a weak console with a low amount of exclusives. It sucks that it’s not up to date but it’s a very smart business decision.
This is very well said. Consoles aren't cheap. Even Nintendo ones. I can't say I've delved into the specifics of the Switch 2 but I haven't seen very much that is enticing me to buy one. On my switch I did the free trial of the Nintendo online thing. For a month I got to play some classic games on there and the experience was... ok. But I was very much disappointed with the library on there. My NES... has a larger library on it. And let me speak about that for a moment. My NES is modified. It works on modern TVs, and it has 2GB of storage, which allows it the ENTIRE NES and Famicom library via a flash cartridge. In addition I can use romhacks to effectively MOD my NES games on there. I've even been able to modify some of the sprites in my favorite games to play characters with customizations and all that. Something I cannot do on the Switch very easily (you can mod games on there, but you're giving up online functionality if you do). Obviously the NES is an extreme example, and I don't expect Nintendo to allow us to have that same functionality to the same extent on the Switch. They don't have licenses to distribute third party games easily for example. But they're also not really exploring what they could do with some of those old games. Let's be honest here. The games on Wii/U virtual console, NES/SNES classic, and Switch Online are roms. They are the same .nes and .sfc files used by emulators. How I do I know? Because I've added new games to many of those non-Switch systems. I have an NES classic with nearly 800 games on it. So I know what kind of system they are running. The switch online service could easily offer access to romhacks. Especially if they offered a service akin to Steam Workshop. Imagine that? A Steam Workshop version of the NES/SNES. Romhacks cannot cause issues with the hosting console because they are emulating. And if they operate it like Steam Workshop, content would still be appropriate for the system. Before the owner decided to shutter the download portion, Romhack dot Net had famously restricted rom hacks to avoid questionable content for decades. Everything on there would have been suitable for playing on the Switch (with the exceptions of trademark style content). Imagine that, you a subscription service to Nintendo to play their entire First party library (which they don't currently have) and you can play thousands of Romhacks as well. Many people would love to be able to do that. Even those of us who use emulators on our PCs or even flash carts on older systems. That's something that would have greatly helped the Switch and would be a great addition to Switch 2. An official way to play some of these unofficial modifications. On the subject of the Switch 2 again though. It needs to be substantial leap forward. Especially considering that many of us don't use the Switch as a handheld. As well made as the Switch is, it lacks the robust and durable nature of a Gameboy. And I'm not asking for them to try and make it as durable as the Gameboy. The Gameboy was a product of the 1980s, when electronics were less sophisticated and less miniaturized. It wasn't much more capable than a solar calculator. But the fact is, many of us are not comfortable taking the switch out into situations where it might get damaged. And that gets even more prevalent when the Switch nears its end of life. Like I can pack my Gameboy Advance or DS or even Gameboy Color into my backpack and throw it around without any issue. I would not do that with my Switch. Even though those old systems are not available anymore they are robust enough that I don't a fear of them getting messed up. But my Switch is not the same. So it sits in its dock, and plays on the TV. Well so can a PS5 or PS6 in the future. So can my PC. What does the Switch 2 offer that those do not? Mario, Zelda, and Metroid? That's about it. Given enough time, those games won't stay exclusive to the Switch 2 anyway. I'm not advocating the implications of that last sentence. But if we are to be expected to pay a few hundred bucks again, that we're getting our money's worth. Don't let the Switch 2 be the next Wii U.
I think that's a problem with most devices today. I used to get home from school, grab my ds from my pocket and toss it on the bed. It went everywhere with me. Even if I can uncomfortably fit the switch lite in my pocket, those thumbsticks are exposed the whole time. You get drift on the lite, now the entire system is unplayable.
Well, I think there's a very good reason that a Switch 2 may not exciting in itself. Because the Switch hardware, despite the initial novelty, is very meh. What sells it is the software. When I see the games, that's when I'll pay attention.
Damn when you mentioned the Nintendo youtubers, and that i havent checked their videos in over a year... The Steam Deck truly did change the coolness of the Switch.
One thing I forgot to mention in the video was xbox and Sony aren't blind. They both see the success of Nintendo's handheld. I would be surprised if Sony wasn't using the portal to test If there's demand for a Vita successor.
@@Tenacityfromtheglass I hated when Sony cited lack of interest in handheld gaming when talking about the Vita failing. They caused the Vita to fail with those expensive memory cards and not expanding on the ability to play the Vita games on a TV just to not cannibalize the PS4 sales.
Usually when i see a title like this, with this few subscribers, a bunch on nonsense is said and it wastes my time. This video brought up points I hadnt thought about too much, and I agree with everything you said. Im still hyped for switch 2, but with some leadership changes at nintendo Ive heard about recently, I think theres a chance they completely fuck everything up. Good video
I’m not planning on getting the Switch successor at launch but, I’m excited to see what it is. Nintendo‘s known for throwing curveballs. The Internet likes to speculate and pretend we know everything, still nobody can confirm what Nintendo is planning to release.
they need to remove that subscription failed idea and go back to you buy the game you get the entire full game no purchases later on just to find out you don't own the entire game yet but with the update you buy you now have the full game maybe but there should be no later on dlc junk either just apply it to the game call it a complete and fully finished game and just charge 70 instead of 60 for it
im just not exited at all for the switch 2. cause i recently upgraded from switch lite to switch oled and that made a HUGE difference in gameplay and i feel like the switch 2 has to 2 up the oled to atleast get my attention. idc about new ui or better joycons you can just buy modded joycons anyways.
they are making all these new tvs and Nintendo is still thinking portable like really come on Nintendo wake up the TV screens are better than any portable screens they could come up with anyways then be able to power it with a battery anyways :-)
i can only dock the original switch and the oled hopefully the switch 2 is like the original and the oled not like the lite i mean portable is pretty cool but shouldn't be a mandatory feature of the console now if the switch 2 is both ways portable and dock able id be all over 2 of them 1 to use and a back up just in case something breaks like a drop etc :-)
Right there with you, man. My story is extremely similar. I was a Nintendo-only guy until a couple years ago. The Xbox Series S widened my horizons, and I have had such little interest, let alone patience for Nintendo’s gimmicky, anti-consumer antics. Between my Switch OLED and the near flawless emulation of my old purchased Nintendo games on my Mac, I think I’m set. When it comes to new/new-to-me games, I’m honestly really satisfied with the seemingly unending backlog of Xbox games… which are often on sale for a fraction of the price a Nintendo game. (DekuDeals is where it's at!) After Prime 4 and the next Zelda, I’m fairly certain I won’t be returning to the Big N for a very long time.
@@runesoldiero Exactly. Nintendo has made timeless classics over the years (Ocarina of Time, Mario 64, Smash Bros. Melee, etc.), but their business practices are fairly anti-consumer. I've deeply enjoyed their games for 30 years now, but Devin's story concerning the company and its practices is very relatable. For instance, the long silence regarding Metroid Prime 4 (7 years of waiting with still no known release date), not making GCN games available, and sitting on releasing otherwise finished projects like WWHD, TPHD, Metroid Prime 2, and 3, are just three quick examples of how they have lost many of us who are older and just aren't interested in the majority of their newer games. And that is fine. Tastes change, and they aren't obligated to satiate every fan's desires. I had just hoped for better consumer trust (i.e., transparency and connection) from a company that I have supported most of my life.
I disagree with this video. The Steam Deck, Legion Pro and other gaming hand helds want to sell millions of units. The problem here lies there all in competition with each other hurting their own sales. For example: year to date Steam sold about 4-5 million and the others less than that. These hand helds will always be an afterthought. The Switch 2 will sell 20 million in a couple of months with every company throwing their games on it. Heck there is a new Switch game trailer almost every single day!
only 4 million lol. that’s low i thought it was a bit higher than that. tbh if you’re gonna game on pc why would you play handheld. if i wanted to play on pc im going to do it on a desktop.
I’ve said before if the switch 2 is just the same thing but more power there’s no way it will sell as well as the original switch. Knowing Nintendo it will be something crazy. I think we need a dedicated handheld and a dedicated home console again instead of jack of all trades master of nothing
If Metroid Prime 4 looked like that in Switch 1. The Switch 2 is going to be a treat. (Of course not to the level of PS5 or Series X, but a great improvement nonetheless).
The appeal of the Nintendo Switch has never been about it's performance or AAA title support. It's mostly about their first party games and pricing. Sure the Steam Dec or ROG Ally are lightyears ahead of the Switch in terms of performance but you can't really play any of the Nintendo game titles like Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing etc. on these consoles without an emulator which are getting shut down in droves by Nintendo. Even without the Nintendo franchise games, there aren't a lot of handheld Linux/Windows based handhelds out there that can match the pricing of the Nintendo Switch and it's support for many indie and/or AAA games. You can get the Switch Lite for as low as $150 and get to play pretty much all the main line switch titles, indie games, and numerous AAA games ported to switch. This is simply not an option for the vast majority of handhelds out there in the market. For me personally the only reason I even bought a Nintendo Switch is because I wanted to play the Nintendo Franchise games.
@@harth3432 Their franchise games are indeed overpriced, there's no arguing with that. The fact the LoZ BoTW is still a $60 game is ludicrous despite it being a Switch release title. That being said, other than the franchise games, most indie games on Switch and third-party titles regularly go on sale on switch and can be bought for 50-60% off at the eShop, or you can grab those games from local game stores for the same degree of discounts (I recently saw a copy of Xenoblade Chronicles on sale for $10, the game usually costs $30). You can buy the Switch for as low as $150 while teh steam deck is mostly fixed at the price of $650, that's a $500 difference. With that money you'd be able to buy a whole library of indie games or 8 franchise games which almost completely covers all the main Nintendo franchise games if you're looking to use the Switch for only Nintendo games only. In the case of the ROG Ally it is the same thing, just that you can also have money left over to buy even more games for the Switch. Your argument with using your handheld gaming device as an alternate desktop is a niche possibility that the vast majority of people buying the console is not going to utilize, I can't believe the nightmare of running PP on a gaming console, those your argument of reading PDFs and watching movies is valid. You can get pretty close experience with the Switch which has the TH-cam app that you can use to watch video and movies on TH-cam online, though it is limited. Also the whole windows cross platform experience is reserved only for the ROG Ally since the Steam deck runs on a Linux operating system, which most average users are just unfamiliar with using outside the steam menu. The linux OS also makes many older retro games designed for Windows unable to run on the Steam Deck, and even many newer games are just not compatible with the Linux OS. Even when compatible most games on Steam are not designed with controllers or handheld mode in mind, take a rather simple to run game like Civ V or Civ VI, it's a nightmare to run on the Steam Deck, you need to spend hours tinkering with setting and when you load into the game the UI is messed up and needs further adjustment, something that most normal people are just not going to go through with. The same game has been ported to the Switch, but even with the performance being poor in the final rounds, everything works out of the box and the controls have been adapted to work with the Switch specifically because Nintendo has thrown it's weight behind the games port. Comparing LoZ to AC Valhalla is not wise at all, it's like comparing AC Odyssey to Red Dead Redemption II, just because there's an open world and open ended game play doesn't mean the games are comparable in any sense. LoZ BoTW and ToTK can wipe the floor with AC Valhalla anytime of the week in terms of engaging gameplay, but they utilize many of the Switch's hardware mechanics that the Ubisoft can't exploit due to it's release of games on hardware that they don't produce. Realistically the Steam Deck is for niche pro gamers who can deal with the jank that comes with PC gaming and don't mind sacrificing the utility of an actual laptop to play PC games on the go, while the Nintendo Switch targets casual gamers and children. I understand taking the Steam Deck on a long train journey, extended flights or gaming on your bed at home. The Switch on the other hand can be used for the same, but at the same time used by people who are taking a short commute to work by bus or train, taking a break in between working hours, or taken to a party for group activities. I was stuck in Russia a while back for 2 months while making my journey back home, and I had my Switch and laptop with me, I killed most of my time playing split screen Mario kart on my Switch with a buddy of mine because I could simply detach the Joy cons and hand it to him for a 2 player experience, that's just not possible with the steam deck unless you're carrying around 2 extra full sized controllers. The Switch lite is a purely handheld gaming device which you can slip into your backpack and forget about because of how light it is. It is less heavier than some phones on the market, and it plays all the mainline Switch games. It's the perfect gaming device for people who want a distraction in case they have to spend long hours doing nothing. There are pros and cons for both consoles, pure performance it not the only thing that counts at the end of the day. Although I am frustrated with how Nintendo refuses to put a high performance processor and more RAM in their consoles, severely hindering development of games.
Yeah, same. The freedom of PC is unmatched, and having PCs that can get the insane convenience the Switch brought to the table with tons more power to boot is just insane. Nintendo as a company has made quite a few bad moves where I'm pretty angry too. I'm sure their Switch 2 games will be amazing and tempting, but for the first time in my life yeah I might skip them.
If thats the case, emulate the games. Dont miss out. Im gonna buy the next console at launch because the first edition is always the easiest to hack, and I want a hacked switch. I was a little too late with switch 1, hacking those is too hard
You've laid out the perfect counter argument for "It's Nintendo you'll just buy it anyway" Fanboys. Those people are the worst of the gaming community. And I say that because I used to be a Nintendo fan lol. Personally I want a normal console again since the portable hybrid concept got old to make since I never play it portably anyway and exclusively play on TV.
Maybe it’s good thing isn’t higher quality because Nintendo was never higher graphics instead they focused on game development instead. What made switch games actually enjoyable compared to ps5 to Xbox their where more relaxing and down to earth gameplay. I don’t care call of duty or anything like that because they just boring compared to Mario 😂
@susanroche597 nintendo could actually kill it with the Nintendo switch 2. It's a perfect time to fulfill the promise of every game of theirs running at 60fps, what both xbox and Playstation have fumbled hard with.
ps doesnt only have games like cod or fifa lol ff7 rebirth as an example is better than any game nintendo switch has imo i have all nintendo consoles and most good games.... ps5 is a trash generation i gotta agree but there are a few amazing games
I get your opinion but i feel this is just the PC master race discussion from the 2010s seeping into the “handheld” gaming market. I put handheld in quotes cause it boils down to nothing more than not playing on a TV/Monitor, but still not playing it on the go like a kid would play on a Switch, outside the house
I don't respect their choice to make legacy games a subscription service, we've already seen other major companies retroactively pull support & licensing on previously paid products besides dozens of subscriptions being similarly yanked away; with nintendo getting increasingly petty over the years, it's only a matter of time, again.
the biggest factor for me is price. The steam deck isn't officially available in my country, so the cheapest I can get it is over 1000usd. The same with the rog ally, and the lenovo one. The switch oled is currently selling for under 400usd here, and the switch 2 will probably not be much more. I am mostly a PC gamer, so bringing my steam library with me on the go would be a dream, but not for double if not triple msrp
This video has so many problems 1:52 This argument makes no sense to be at all youre comapring switch 1 and steam deck this is about how you're not excited for switch 2 correct? So this arugment means nothing when you are comparing 2:44 you claim a lot of fans are jumping ship to steam deck when you haven't even shown an example of this And factually its only you and a loud minority thats doing this if your arugment that a lot of fans are jumping ship then or would affect sales by now Its not so why even say a lot of fans are when they arent Another thing is we keep saying steam deck is better than switch but you're really not fully explaining How its better 3:09 thats not the only reason it sold well It sold well cuz of its exclusives 3:49 Im kinda starting to predict the video You're not excited for switch 2 cuz steam deck is more powerful than switch Which again has nothing to do with switch 2 cuz you dont know how powerful the switch 2 will be So this video should really be titled why i think steam deck is better than Nintendo switch Its also funny cuz you fail to mention the price for Steam deck being $400-$550 You act like a lot of people are gonna buy a console for almost $600 in USD and almost $800 in Canadian 4:09 switch 2 has already been leaked to be above series S thats already above steam deck lol 4:29 what Wii and Wii u games are you talking about that locked within paywall? There are literally none that are what are you talking about If you mean virtual console than why arent you just saying old games instead of saying "Games you got on Wii and Wii U" "Giving us games untranslated" Plz give me at least 10-20 games on NSO that are untranslated and ill agree 5:32 you were literally just complaining how they put old games on Paywall with NSO. Now you're saying you're complaining how their is no Gamecube games (And which BTW its so obvious theu arent doing that this late in switchs lifespan Not even wii u did this) So You just contradicted one of your main points XD 5:57 again i already told you it got leaked that Switch 2 is Above Series S so again meaningless 6:36 im sorry but this is Probably your worst arugment yet "They have to get rid of joycons" No most people wouldnt even like that including me instead just improve the joycons And this "we want this" No this is literally just you nobody wants to get rid of the joycons 8:52 you just compared a major 3rd party game to a Mobile game that got a switch port LMAO💀 9:56 again with "the most of us don't care for" Stop trying to project your subjective opinions on the Majority because those "Gimmicky ideas" is literally what made them sell so you saying most peope dont care is objectivly false Pretty much this video was just a pointless rant on why you hate Gimmicks, complaining on how switch is underpowered (despite the fact that has nothing to do with switch 2.), and NSO despite the fact you later contradicted youself Overall not a good video sorry
Maybe spend your time making a video on why you're excited for the next switch, instead of fanboying and arguing with a genuinely good video (and also a very agreeable one, just check the other comments)
@@runesoldieroI mean the guy isn't wrong I didn't think about it until he said the video is comparing the steam deck into the 7 year old switch to the 2 year old steam deck. Seems flawed
honestly the fact he complained about gamecube not being on switch is insane in first place considering they regularly add new games to their switch online emulator which takes a decent amount of money which yes they will easily earn back with the amount of subscriptions and IMO switch online is actually a rly cheap subscription with just a 40 euros a year. and like you said with the amount of time left for switch its unlikely theyl even have time to add gamecube to switch and i believe it will most likely be added in the early years of switch 2. also comparing switch which is from 2017 and comparing it to steam deck which is from 2022 is insane as well. im kinda sick of hearing the argument that steam deck is better than switch because the hardware is higher spec when there is not only a 5 year gap and is twice as expensive but also doesn't even have its own games as you need your steam library to play those games which btw most people bought for pc anyways. the switch is dated hardware for sure i dun even need switch 2 to give us a new gimmick i just want them to fix the joycon issues and make it a stronger device overall because i alrdy love the switch for the things it does do right.
i’m not excited for the switch 2 at all. i’ve been utterly slapped in the face by nintendo for my interests. i have mostly pokémon to blame, it’s the main series i like from them and they’ve really given us slop. i don’t care about zelda or mario that much and that’s okay.
Tbh as an outside the Switch didn't really impress me that much. I was never a big Nintendo fan so going into the console I came in with no nostalgia. I think its just okay as a console, but it gives me more headaches with its joycons, bad online, and I just prefer third party games.
I really hope that nintendo will bring on a shop/account infrastructure that is used for future consoles like the way playstation is doing it allowing for good backwards compatibility. I also hope that they can cram whatever hardware they could in the switch but I wish that the switch dock was more powerful so that you could run games at a far higher frame rate when on the dock as opposed to handheld
I too hate the joycons. Absolutely hate them. I’ve never ever bought as many controllers for a system looking for something better. All shit. I’ve actually given up playing my switch portable now. Also take away the WiiU ports and there isn’t actually that much I care about.
Honestly theres so many first party nintendo games and steam games, not to mention emulation, that ive yet to experience on my switch and steam deck that im good for consoles for the time being (Keep my ps3 on standby tho for the occasional littlebigplanet play through :))
I still play my old consoles and games i have from years ago and occasionally i see something i like i'll buy it for cheaper from someone else selling it. plus retro gaming is something i can get into with mostly accurate emulation plus a bunch of ports on my Miyoo Mini Plus. There are probably better Handhelds out there with similar form factor but the fact i can have retroarch achievements over a wifi connection and many features through Onion OS over The Switch's Lack of Portablity beats the switch for me hands down. don't get me wrong i like my switch. but i don't see any reason to buy a whole new console without it being completely worth the price point look at what happened with the PS5 Pro. My Expectations for me to buy a Switch 2 goes as follows: Playing my switch 1 games being able to use my NSO on my Switch 2 with more title verity such as gamecube and wii, Better Sturdier Controllers along with a Pro Controller that CAN LAST without me having to find a perfect 3rd party controller just to avoid having to keep replacing it. being able to still use my existing controllers i already have for my switch 1 on the switch 2. having it either a good decently powered home console or that has a small form factor to actually be able to be put in your pocket instead of being a mid tablet with two cheap controllers on the side. My Biggest gripe witch the switch in general is: I work in a kitchen and i need something with a reasonably sized enough to fit in most pockets. and the switch WAS NOT PORTABLE ENOUGH. i don't define switch as a portable because you need something else to carry it at that point i can just use a laptop or a tablet that's high end at that point. the switch is neat but i just want my games to run at stable 58-60fps and not drop to the point of running like an n64 game or sometimes worse then one at some stages of one for certain games. you can only take that "We don't need Power and Graphics" argument so far. Nintendo is so far behind everyone else. I agree with everything in the video except ALBW being a good zelda game I am looking forward to the new zelda game though coming out soon.
Frankly, I get the feeling. The only reason I own a switch is to play nintendo games because despite their decisions as a company, im still a fan of their games. I do hope they come up with something better for the switch 2. Also I do kinda feel like you talk a little slow in the video. Dont mean any offense by it, but I did have to watch it at 2x speed. Prolly says more about me tbh 🤷🤣
The Nintendo switch 2. Or super Nintendo switch whatever it’s called It is rumored to be roughly the power of a PlayStation 4. I think it’s wonderful I think Nintendo knows how to make great games I would like to see what they would do with a PlayStation 4 But i’m willing to assume that graphics are not really going to improve all that much in the next 10 years. Also it would make the PlayStation 5 redundant when newer games are made specifically to be around the power of the PlayStation 4 Never even mind the potential PlayStation 6
I understand your points, but really think there are trade offs in the options available (including the current Switch) The reason the Steam Deck even became a possible competitor is because they underpriced it substantially - none of the other handheld PCs (especially the ones caoable of playing AAA titles) are doing that (And even then - there's Another trade off of game pricing, as you mentioned, that could be taken into account) Yes NSO is garbage - especially because it drip feeds any content, has options that were available on PC emulators in the mid 90's, And doesn't allow carrying over the Virtual Console purchases from previous devices However! The trade off (for me, at least), is the ability to play any multiplayer game of those with anyone else that has a Switch/NSO, with no finicky pc settings, additional/sideload apps, etc Same for the joy-con - I think they're a perfect modern version of their original famicon "include the 2 controllers within the system itself". The Very few handheld PCs that even have removable controllers - in order to dock/play on a TV - don't even have an instant 2 player option, you know? This is already too many words on this (also passionate about this hobby!), but 'just my two cents' and all that
Couch co-op sadly seems to die of, if it wasn't for Nintendo. And it makes sense. For online co-op, every player has to buy their own game, which means double the sale.
Nintendo didn't initially feel a 2 was needed, but I guess they got enough requests. Also, knowing Sony and Xbox going all digital told them it was time to strike. NieR Automata proved the Switch wasn't the problem, but the developers.
Steamdeck and other handhelds are bulky and uncomfortable. I think we’ve hit diminishing returns, especially in handheld mode. It’s going to be good enough for most.
He’s talking about switch 2 but what video footage is he using? Thats right a 3D Zelda game. Link is the GOAT and he carries nintendo. I wouldn’t be interested in this company at all if it weren’t for the silent assassin, Link.
Nintendo has lost the market that DEPENDED on them for 3rd party games on their handheld/Hybrid consoles! It wasn’t the largest of market BUT it was a market none the less! I said this was gonna happen when the steam deck released at that $400 pricepoint with Elden Ring playing on that system DAY 1!
I think Nintendo will still disappoint to some degree along these lines, especially the subscription service, but I think they're saving the GameCube addition for the Switch successor. The thing I'm worried about disappointing despite the rumors is the hardware itself, because the Switch showed that the hardware and pre-loaded software can be the bare minimum and still be a smash hit. The 3DS makes the Switch look like an absolute chump as a handheld aside from graphics and performance, because it's durable, it has Streetpass, it has a stylus, it had backwards compatibility, it had themes, the menus and storefront were lively, etc. The Switch's only advantage is also being a home console. You can stream it without modification. If the Switch successor cannot actually impress me more than or similar to the 3DS does in retrospect, I might actually just not move forward with Nintendo. If I see a Switch with just better graphics and performance, I *will not* continue.
@@Tenacityfromtheglass i got into deck builders because of that game. Highly recommend *Fights in Tight Spaces* and *Balantro* - 2 other excellent deck builders. But yeah! Super excited for Slay the Spire 2
The Nintendo switch two or the super Nintendo switch whatever it’s called is rumored to be roughly the power of a PlayStation 4 and I think that’s wonderful I believe Nintendo knows how to make great games and I am excited to know what they would do with a PlayStation 4. It’s just I don’t think video game graphics are going to improve all that much in the next 10 years if all the newer games are going to be built around roughly the power of a PS4 and it continues to make the PlayStation 5 redundant. Right now there is still games releasing for the PlayStation 4 and another five years games are still gonna be around that same graphic capability What would be the point of purchasing a PlayStation 6? If the newer games would still be capable to work on a PlayStation 4?
Honestly, I've skipped the PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch 1 console. I only play on Swwitch lite and OG Ps Vita / Ps Vita TV. I won't be purchasing a console and will evaluate the Switch 2 before purchase.
If it can't handle a solid smooth 60 fps, I'll skip it and stick with my steam deck. Also pokemon needs to have top tier performance. I mean I'm paying for a game, not a slideshow.
Here come the “Nintendo is Doom” videos that we get at the end/beginning of each Gen 🙄🙄 Or the I’m done with Nintendo! I have left you this comment for the algo. But you just lost all your credibility and I’ll simply block you.
Dude you just said it, of course the steam deck performs better than the switch, it was made with that purpose 5 years after the switch was released, "nintendo will need to bring something new to the table"...yeah, pretty much what nintendo ALWAYS DOES, it seems like youre taking the project name too serious, "switch2" is not what the console actually is, thats just a code name, like the dolphin for the Gamecube, i mean if you wanted power you already had options on sony and microsoft, that was never the point of getting a switch Also, fans jumping the ship from nintendo...on the contrary, i havent had a nintendo console since the wii/3DS era, i joined other companies and after all this time the only reason i havent bought a switch is because im waiting for the release of nintendo's new console to buy it, nintendo is doing so well it won me back, yeah the steam deck and pretty much any other conpany has more power and blah blah i dont care, nintendo still seems more attractive
The point of Switch 2 is playing the exclusive games. Nintendo can't be making games for the same aging Switch hardware. I agree that the subscription service is bullshit, but PC gaming is one big subscription service. You don't own any of those games. They can be taken away at any moment. On the other hand if you play physical games on a console, you can play them for as long as the console and the games work.
@jimphilidor9031 you're not wrong. If steam disappeared tomorrow, we probably wouldn't be able to launch the game's we've purchased. But, I don't think physical collecting is going to continue to surcomvent the problem of games preservation either. Just, think, what if the servers go down or a game gets delisted. Your physical copy might require patches for game breaking bugs or could need the other half of the game downloaded in order to be playable. For example, pokemon x was released with a game breaking bug that deleted your save file. It needed a patch to be able to properly play. Without the 3ds servers, there's no way to play that original cartridge without suffering those bugs. Can you truly say you own all your physicals without the need for any downloads. I think we're being screwed on both sides.
You can't after play the games on gamepass after a few months. Gamepass is so stupid because what is the point of you can't even play those games anymore after just a little bit, even if you subscriber.
@@BowserEditz exactly haha people have no idea about literally anything about the switch 2, they just think cus its the second console in a series its gonna go the way the wii u did
The Wii U suffered because of poor marketing and causal fans not really getting that it's a next gen console, not an add-on to the Wii... How is the "switch 2" on track to have the same problems?
@@randomname_tqrk It also suffered because of the controller design, while unique, it was quite big and the battery didn't last very long. Longer lasting battery was heavy. It's also costly and can't be replaced, especially now after years have passed.
Nobody cares. I've had the Switch since day 1 and have played the crap out of it. I've recently bought a new gaming PC and I ended up playing games from the early 00s because new games suck.
Don't even get me started on ps5 pro not being backwards compatible with all past PlayStation consoles for $700. There is no disc drive so no one is voting for that console with their wallet and it's crazy how you will have to pay $160 a year to play the older games but this console should have max backwards compatibility. Also, XBOX consoles are like the most pointless consoles ever made. I can just play that stuff on my computer. Microsoft needs to get their crap together. It's not just about power but about exclusive games and gameplay!
I care about a gimmick for Switch not power. Switch to me was not new. Besides the account systems, split screen and more handhelds didn't have because solo devices. HD. rumble is fine and dock is eh done before with Pocket PCs the Steam Deck of 2006 and older. Or PSP, Nomad, etc with a cable. Wii U being wireless dual screen was more cool and I still have more idea to expand on it. Switch is a single screen that's simple, does the job, still the many ways to play aspect. It does it well but wasn't as exciting me. Also Pikmin 4 ideas were eh and bad gyro compared to 1-3. Fair night levels, good ice Pikmin, eh levels, psycho 5 day padding intro, rest is fair. Skill trees and other. Nonsense in modern games what in world design lacking AAA studios. Many PC handhelds are fine, emu, Indies, whatever. No interest in them at all. Ope. Platforms have a place then consoles but eh. PCs will other form factors as well but the Panasonic Jungle was a 3DS/Vita competitor MMO handheld that was cancelled. Doesn't say much but still. Smartphones or other competition whatever the case of marketing, having separate devices, peer pressure, whatever is cool and such logic for casuals. Eh I will care about Switch 2 for it's gimmick/games gameplay ideas then power. Gameplay first not only story, graphics, presentation of level design still sucks. I care for the niche 1st party titles or like with Switch Japanese AA 3rd parties Sony annoyed or those that are handheld focused for their budget/audience. Eh modern design that is boring & so on modern gaming sucks for. Hence why many PS/360 IP stretched I ignore & the left behind ones I buy. Not because of their popularity but their ideas of game design. Same with older gens. Give me the pacing, mechanics and more not holiday destinations, boring human/animal movesets and make it fun and out of the box not repetitive done to death and basic missions, eh dialogue to listen to boring people talk, and let me go on an adventure, solve puzzles, do combat maybe, platform. Could care less about people talking, NPCs aren't great now the people or writing or voicing them, they aren't worth listening to. The creations are boring and the people making them are because their creativity is just too weak. I can enjoy an open world of the world is interactive. BOTW is fine for the shrines for me.... Like Zelda games (even if suck at them and prefer the DS entries) for the items to use, same with Darksiders or Ratchet, pacing and missions. In open worlds with moveset challenges it's the combat, platforming and more. I do the same with circuit racing games, cars used in challenges, not boring story/collect/kill and whatever RPG mission tropes. Give me something interactive to do with items or run around and achieve, something challenging, something less holiday destinations level design and boring worlds. It's a game, have fantasy, have things you can't do in reality. Racing games I'll take fantasy of real cars and fake locations or unrealistic things. I'll take real.cars around cities of the layouts are good and challenges are still there. We just so happen to get less modes and more licenses for cars/tracks. Or in Wreckfest a motor sofa, bus, etc. vehicles derbies and races. Wow modern game design and bare minimum modes. Like come on. Kart racers the weapons/AI are fine but eh. Platformer have been pathetic the past few years of minigames, movesets or level design for basic or popular game inspirations but less talent and can't think outside the box. Same with racing too oh no a Sega Rally successor, five me something else then nostalgia milking for idiots. Give me a spin on it. Too emotional/willing to support sales no questions asked, some people then having a brain and using it.
It seems like you didn't really like the switch in the first place, if you are letting nitpicks and conjecture decide whether you'll get the switch 2. You also talk about systems and the games market like exclusives don't exist, as if what game you play on one system is easily replaceable with whatever is on any system that has more power. This is an absurd video, honestly. All of your points in this video are either extreme nitpicks or are outright ignorant. Like really? Do you honestly not understand why gamecube games haven't come to NSO? Literally no one has argued that the switch was designed for "baby hands", either. They're small and compact because they have to fit on the sides of a tablet. Did you consider that? Did you think about your points for this video at all?
It's knot nitpicking. Aye bought every Nintendo console, but day are charging Moore four less features and games. The games are great, but each generation as less and higher prices. WiiU had Internet and miiverse, but are charging four online width out dim.
The console is 5+ years old, it's fine to not be excited anymore. But you talk like Nintend is just going to rerelease the switch with update. I highly doubth that's going to happen. DW, Switch 2 will be fine and you probably gona like it for 5 years again when it comes out.
Your premise doesn't match your arguments. Many of your arguments are very weak, precisely because they don't match the premise/claim. Most of your arguments support the claim that the Nintendo Switch is already obsolete, and it's time for Nintendo to change some things. However, how does this affect your excitement for Switch 2? It's like saying you don't like your old teared shoes as much because they're showing their age, but also claiming you're not looking forward to buying new shoes because the old ones are now bad. What is that logic? Makes no sense. If anything, these are reasons to be expectant of improvements. Maybe not "excited" yet until aspects of the new console are officially revealed.
Nintendo isn't competing in the same market that the Steam Deck and such do. People don't buy the Switch to play Skyrim, the biggest reason for buying the Switch is the Nintendo games, and those are natively only on Nintendo's own consoles. You can play GC games on the Switch using something like Lakka or RetroArch, but you will need a homebrewed Switch for that. In my opinion that's much better since you also don't need a subscription for that. The Switch can also emulate PS1 / PS2 to varying success, also requiring a homebrewed Switch for that. The joycons indeed suck, just get joycon replacements like the Hori Split Pad Pro or Mobapad M6 HD, they've been out for years now. BOTW / TOTK graphics are amazing, they have a very nice and distinct style, realistic graphics don't equal good graphics. BOTW / TOTK and all other games locked to 30 can actually run at 60fps locked on the Switch, but again you will need a homebrewed Switch for that, the problem is that the Switch out of the box is SEVERELY underclocked, but when just reverted to what the chip can easily handle games run buttery smooth. The Switch isn't meant to be an all-in-one retro gaming console, was never meant to be. Not disagreeing with you, but just pointing out some things.
I do enjoy your videos but your takes here all come off to me as crying about things that don't matter. Nintendo focuses on fun and originality. Nintendo has been leading the industry since the 80s. Why should they cater to people who just emulate their games and hyperfocus on graphics? That's called casting pearls before swine. Nintendo knows damn well that whenever they hit their next big innovation, you'll be back like you always are. It's legitimately insane to me that people's core complaint about Nintendo is that they aren't a clone of Sony and Microsoft and the rest of the soulless copycats.
I think everyone needs to understand that this is not like the New nintendo 3ds the switch 2 or Pro will (If it's even called switch anymore) actually be a whole new generation
As a steam deck user I agree I haven't touched my switch in awhile and I don't want to pay full price for every game on a Nintendo console when I can get better and old games on steam deck
Yeah, likewise. I mean, I do like some of Nintendo's first-party games, but literally everything else I can get cheaper and running better on the Steam Deck. There really is no contest comparing the Steam store to the e-Shop.
1. you really don't some switch games don't work on steam deck
2. yet you were glazing Gamepass something that's literally over $200 yearly
3. with switch 2 being leaked to be series S level and with DLSS look better than series s and close to PS5 this argument falls flat
and this means witch 2 is gonna be at least 3x more powerful than steam deck
Many gamers don't get it, and I can understand. But let me just share a quote by the late Satoru Iwata:
"In the end, if the next generation of consoles only represents beefed-up technology, there will not be much of a future. Video games are meant to be just one thing: Fun! Fun for everyone."
True, But the competition does it better. Aye rather buy a steam deck over the switch 2. It's knot just graphic. The features are isle so better. Switch does have Internet, but it's a tablet 🤦
Each generation has less game, less features ( miiverse) and higher prices. Aye bought every Nintendo console, but I'm knot interested inn switch two. Aye decided two switch two PC gaming.
We don't even know how it will look like. Maybe it is Switch but you need a big controller with a second screen in it and it will be called Switch U
Depends on the game. Elden ring and most nintendo games are worth it. Are ubisoft games worth it? No.
@@Lalo_thr So true.
😂 I've been feeling this way for way too long

I'm not excited either, but for a different reason
Nintendo has been very hostile to the gaming community in the last few years, from the way they treat fans and fan-made games, or the brawl star event, to how they attack emulators or how they're abusing the legal system to sue Palworld.
After a while I started to feel bad about giving money to this company, so I just can't be excited to buy a console from a company that hates me.
@@Luizanimado I agree. I've been feeling this way about nintendo ever since the AM2R take down
Same, this will be the first major Nintendo console that I will purposely never get.
Before clicking on your video I was ready to contradict what you had to say, but you made some very valid points and I just hope we get that little extra something that makes the switch 2 outshine its competitors
Same. I was expecting some dumb crap to be said but he had good points
Agreed
I'm not a portable player, small screens don't appeal to me, so I'm absolutely not interested in the Steam Deck. What I want from the Switch 2 is Miiverse, 60 FPS, a new Animal Crossing with a lot more effort put into it, a new Zelda, Mario Kart, F-Zero, Mario, Splatoon etc. Like you said I would like to have GameCube games available, also online games library with N64 etc. should be available with the base online model with no additional costs and the retro games offered should be offered for sale per item too.
you can plug it into a monitor but at that point get a pc
Aye Ms. miiverse. Con soul R Moore cost Lee width less features. That's why I'm knot X sight Ted four switch 2.
You… don’t understand why switch is selling soo well
We don’t know what the switch 2 is so being excited or not right now is pointless
Dude, please edit your comment to make more sense, i cant tell what ur point is.
I don’t think this video gets why switch is the best, and most selled, console ever
130 million units wooo 1.6 billion pc pirates
playstation 2 is still at 150 million unites sold
it is because gamers love piss, and shit
best at what selling children's game nobodies like you play and sold less games then ps5 games
I’m sure we’ll also be getting a “why I’m excited for Switch 2” video after the reveal. lol
It'll still be less powerful than my S 24 dude.
They will probably shut down their current Nintendo e shop site and force you to buy all your games over again. Nintendo would totally do that.
Also yeah, screw the joycons. I bought the pro controller day one, for good reason, and I wouldn't be using the switch as much otherwise.
I’m super excited about the Switch 2, but I don’t think you got anything wrong in this video. Nicely done.
The Internet likes to speculate and pretend we know everything, still nobody can confirm what Nintendo is planning to release.
they need to remove that subscription failed idea and go back to you buy the game you get the entire full game no purchases later on just to find out you don't own the entire game yet but with the update you buy you now have the full game maybe but there should be no later on dlc junk either just apply it to the game call it a complete and fully finished game and just charge 70 instead of 60 for it
I'm exited for the Switch 2
Means I can get an older Switch for much cheaper to play all of the greats I've missed in the what, 7 years yeah
im just not exited at all for the switch 2. cause i recently upgraded from switch lite to switch oled and that made a HUGE difference in gameplay and i feel like the switch 2 has to 2 up the oled to atleast get my attention. idc about new ui or better joycons you can just buy modded joycons anyways.
they are making all these new tvs and Nintendo is still thinking portable like really come on Nintendo wake up the TV screens are better than any portable screens they could come up with anyways then be able to power it with a battery anyways :-)
You realize you can dock the switch lmao
@@Void_Ant To be fair then going back to a LCD screen isn't all that bad Especially since LCD screens have improved a lot since 2015-2016
@@0celot9 referring to the switch lite didn't get treated so fairly would suck to see a Nintendo switch 2 as portable only
i can only dock the original switch and the oled hopefully the switch 2 is like the original and the oled not like the lite i mean portable is pretty cool but shouldn't be a mandatory feature of the console now if the switch 2 is both ways portable and dock able id be all over 2 of them 1 to use and a back up just in case something breaks like a drop etc :-)
Sounds like you just don't care that much about what games you play.
@@knatknihtClearly he just said he cares about his games, but is fed up with nintendo. Did you read the comment?
@@richsbrown3Aye agree. Nintendo isle so charge four own line, but did ant bring back miiverse.
I do kind of want a steamdeck though. Sounds interesting!
@@Hypno_BPM The Steam Deck is amazing. If you have a PC and you want your games portable, buy it. But the Deck replacing PC's? Never!
You know what would make me excited. Another 3D Zelda game but y’all don’t wanna have that conversation.
There’s even some major Console & PC games that received native Android ports like OG Doom, Doom 2, Talos Principal, Minecraft, Fortnite, etc
I’ve said before if the switch 2 is just the same thing but more power there’s no way it will sell as well as the original switch. Knowing Nintendo it will be something crazy. I think we need a dedicated handheld and a dedicated home console again instead of jack of all trades master of nothing
I still have yet to see what the games are gonna look like at launch
My first time skipping a Nintendo console 2
You've laid out the perfect counter argument for "It's Nintendo you'll just buy it anyway" Fanboys. Those people are the worst of the gaming community. And I say that because I used to be a Nintendo fan lol. Personally I want a normal console again since the portable hybrid concept got old to make since I never play it portably anyway and exclusively play on TV.
You think that Nintendo switch sold so much for those triple A games mentioned ?
I used to like Nintendo but now I know the dark side of the greedy company.
First time to meet a profit oriented company, kid? Grow up.
As if there were a single non-greedy company.
Great job brother. Needed to be said
Great Video. I agree, Nintendo really needs to up their game with this next console.
If you're referring to graphics, they care less about that than the gameplay and quality.
@@Diogo85 I'm just talking in general. Graphics, games, less scummy business practices.
@@runesoldiero *Scrummy
@@TenacityfromtheglassNintendo doesn't care about frame rate they never have
@@The_MEMEphis Lmao what are you talking about? They've cared mored about frame rate than graphical fidelity since forever
Yeah I agree, but we’re getting to the point where they are struggling to run current third party games, so a small graphics boost could be nice.
This video has so many problems
1:52
This argument makes no sense to be at all youre comapring switch 1 and steam deck this is about how you're not excited for switch 2 correct?
So this arugment means nothing when you are comparing
2:44 you claim a lot of fans are jumping ship to steam deck when you haven't even shown an example of this
And factually its only you and a loud minority thats doing this if your arugment that a lot of fans are jumping ship then or would affect sales by now
Its not so why even say a lot of fans are when they arent
Another thing is we keep saying steam deck is better than switch but you're really not fully explaining How its better
3:09 thats not the only reason it sold well
It sold well cuz of its exclusives
3:49
Im kinda starting to predict the video
You're not excited for switch 2 cuz steam deck is more powerful than switch
Which again has nothing to do with switch 2 cuz you dont know how powerful the switch 2 will be
So this video should really be titled why i think steam deck is better than Nintendo switch
Its also funny cuz you fail to mention the price for Steam deck being $400-$550
You act like a lot of people are gonna buy a console for almost $600 in USD and almost $800 in Canadian
4:09 switch 2 has already been leaked to be above series S thats already above steam deck lol
4:29 what Wii and Wii u games are you talking about that locked within paywall?
There are literally none that are what are you talking about
If you mean virtual console than why arent you just saying old games instead of saying
"Games you got on Wii and Wii U"
"Giving us games untranslated"
Plz give me at least 10-20 games on NSO that are untranslated and ill agree
5:32 you were literally just complaining how they put old games on Paywall with NSO. Now you're saying you're complaining how their is no Gamecube games
(And which BTW its so obvious theu arent doing that this late in switchs lifespan
Not even wii u did this)
So You just contradicted one of your main points XD
5:57 again i already told you it got leaked that Switch 2 is Above Series S so again meaningless
6:36 im sorry but this is Probably your worst arugment yet
"They have to get rid of joycons"
No most people wouldnt even like that including me instead just improve the joycons
And this "we want this"
No this is literally just you nobody wants to get rid of the joycons
8:52 you just compared a major 3rd party game to a Mobile game that got a switch port LMAO💀
9:56 again with "the most of us don't care for"
Stop trying to project your subjective opinions on the Majority because those "Gimmicky ideas" is literally what made them sell so you saying most peope dont care is objectivly false
Pretty much this video was just a pointless rant on why you hate Gimmicks, complaining on how switch is underpowered (despite the fact that has nothing to do with switch 2.), and NSO despite the fact you later contradicted youself
Overall not a good video sorry
Maybe spend your time making a video on why you're excited for the next switch, instead of fanboying and arguing with a genuinely good video (and also a very agreeable one, just check the other comments)
@@runesoldieroI mean the guy isn't wrong I didn't think about it until he said the video is comparing the steam deck into the 7 year old switch to the 2 year old steam deck.
Seems flawed
I'm just excited to be able to put a cartridge and play my game, with none of the new generation nonsense. And I have a gaming pc with an rtx 4080.
honestly the fact he complained about gamecube not being on switch is insane in first place considering they regularly add new games to their switch online emulator which takes a decent amount of money which yes they will easily earn back with the amount of subscriptions and IMO switch online is actually a rly cheap subscription with just a 40 euros a year. and like you said with the amount of time left for switch its unlikely theyl even have time to add gamecube to switch and i believe it will most likely be added in the early years of switch 2. also comparing switch which is from 2017 and comparing it to steam deck which is from 2022 is insane as well. im kinda sick of hearing the argument that steam deck is better than switch because the hardware is higher spec when there is not only a 5 year gap and is twice as expensive but also doesn't even have its own games as you need your steam library to play those games which btw most people bought for pc anyways. the switch is dated hardware for sure i dun even need switch 2 to give us a new gimmick i just want them to fix the joycon issues and make it a stronger device overall because i alrdy love the switch for the things it does do right.
Honestly, true. Feel like you got a bit too much into it. But true.
i’m not excited for the switch 2 at all. i’ve been utterly slapped in the face by nintendo for my interests.
i have mostly pokémon to blame, it’s the main series i like from them and they’ve really given us slop. i don’t care about zelda or mario that much and that’s okay.
Tbh as an outside the Switch didn't really impress me that much. I was never a big Nintendo fan so going into the console I came in with no nostalgia. I think its just okay as a console, but it gives me more headaches with its joycons, bad online, and I just prefer third party games.
Waiting for good news tht Nintendo is able to satisfy you one day, good points made! Subscribed bro
Honestly theres so many first party nintendo games and steam games, not to mention emulation, that ive yet to experience on my switch and steam deck that im good for consoles for the time being
(Keep my ps3 on standby tho for the occasional littlebigplanet play through :))
I agree with everything in the video except ALBW being a good zelda game
I am looking forward to the new zelda game though coming out soon.
I'm sorry to hear that Devin Chase
The Nintendo switch 2. Or super Nintendo switch whatever it’s called It is rumored to be roughly the power of a PlayStation 4. I think it’s wonderful I think Nintendo knows how to make great games I would like to see what they would do with a PlayStation 4 But i’m willing to assume that graphics are not really going to improve all that much in the next 10 years. Also it would make the PlayStation 5 redundant when newer games are made specifically to be around the power of the PlayStation 4 Never even mind the potential PlayStation 6
I have weaker hands due Diabetes. Is the Steamdeck a lot heavier?
I understand your points, but really think there are trade offs in the options available (including the current Switch)
The reason the Steam Deck even became a possible competitor is because they underpriced it substantially - none of the other handheld PCs (especially the ones caoable of playing AAA titles) are doing that
(And even then - there's Another trade off of game pricing, as you mentioned, that could be taken into account)
Yes NSO is garbage - especially because it drip feeds any content, has options that were available on PC emulators in the mid 90's, And doesn't allow carrying over the Virtual Console purchases from previous devices
However! The trade off (for me, at least), is the ability to play any multiplayer game of those with anyone else that has a Switch/NSO, with no finicky pc settings, additional/sideload apps, etc
Same for the joy-con - I think they're a perfect modern version of their original famicon "include the 2 controllers within the system itself".
Im happy with both a switch or switch 2. I just wanna play fun nintendo games.
It’s going to be good enough for most.
just wait till gabe newell dies then we are gonna be in uncharted territory...
No one cares
i want my steam deck to show up already youtube keeps showing me content about it to fuck with me

I bet you're super excited about the PS5 Pro.
I have waited for switch 2 from the release of Switch.
Honestly, I've skipped the PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch 1 console. I only play on Swwitch lite and OG Ps Vita / Ps Vita TV. I won't be purchasing a console and will evaluate the Switch 2 before purchase.
I'm not exited for a Switch 2 because the Switch 1 sucked.
If it can't handle a solid smooth 60 fps, I'll skip it and stick with my steam deck. Also pokemon needs to have top tier performance. I mean I'm paying for a game, not a slideshow.
Excited for Switch 2 Emulator
8:42 Because the steam deck is more powerful? Duh? Do you understand anything about videogame visuals or performance?
What can't you have with the Steam Deck? Nintendo games.
Just get the steam deck if you prefer it ? If you don't see the point for the swifch 2, I don't know, just don’t buy it ?
Here come the “Nintendo is Doom” videos that we get at the end/beginning of each Gen 🙄🙄
Or the I’m done with Nintendo!
I have left you this comment for the algo. But you just lost all your credibility and I’ll simply block you.
tbh surprised it took so long for youtube to recommend this sort of video to me, I expected youtube to start doing it like 2 years ago
Dude you just said it, of course the steam deck performs better than the switch, it was made with that purpose 5 years after the switch was released, "nintendo will need to bring something new to the table"...yeah, pretty much what nintendo ALWAYS DOES, it seems like youre taking the project name too serious, "switch2" is not what the console actually is, thats just a code name, like the dolphin for the Gamecube, i mean if you wanted power you already had options on sony and microsoft, that was never the point of getting a switch
Also, fans jumping the ship from nintendo...on the contrary, i havent had a nintendo console since the wii/3DS era, i joined other companies and after all this time the only reason i havent bought a switch is because im waiting for the release of nintendo's new console to buy it, nintendo is doing so well it won me back, yeah the steam deck and pretty much any other conpany has more power and blah blah i dont care, nintendo still seems more attractive
The comment section on this one... WOW!
Hey another 200$ handheld that is more powerful would be perfect
I feel like a Switch 2 is gonna suffer the whole Wii U problem.
At least with the Wii U, it made a cute niche for the more weird people like me.
@@phorchybug3286 give me an actual reason how Because the only reason people think this is cuz of a pattern
Yeh yeh yeh heard it all before boss . Good video but youll be buying the switch 2
Nigh took every word out of my mouth, Nintendo is slowly turning into a dumpster fire
Sales say otherwise
Don't even get me started on ps5 pro not being backwards compatible with all past PlayStation consoles for $700. There is no disc drive so no one is voting for that console with their wallet and it's crazy how you will have to pay $160 a year to play the older games but this console should have max backwards compatibility. Also, XBOX consoles are like the most pointless consoles ever made. I can just play that stuff on my computer. Microsoft needs to get their crap together. It's not just about power but about exclusive games and gameplay!
Switch force do be clickbaiting a lot! XD
Without a brick in ur pocket... 😂 rly?
Respectfully disagree
Whats the point?
Playing literally anything in 60fps
It's legitimately insane to me that people's core complaint about Nintendo is that they aren't a clone of Sony and Microsoft and the rest of the soulless copycats.
new animal crossing
I'm just not super excited because a Switch 2 means I'll have to buy a whole new console to play new games... and I'm a uni student
Super mario bros wonder: Hold my wonder seed.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: Hold my mushrooms
Bro the switch literally has local multiplayer where and when you want.
Does the steam deck have that?
No.
Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom: hold my plates
