I guessed correctly about the green tea pot. It makes me feel good to identify the antique/vintagee item. I have learned a lot from watching your videos. Thank you. Loved the tea pots, but the owl bookends were my favorite. 😊😊😊
That clip of Rosemary Clooney with the beautifully sculpted hair always warms my heart, but then, in the middle, you had to include that terrifying commercial woman who could have beat out Kathy Bates for the role of Annie Wilkes in Misery. I'll wake-up screaming tonight. Loved that radio cabinet, it seems there would have been a very narrow period for marketing those, since radios were soon to come in nice cabinets. I was hoping to see it in the back of your truck. All great fun, thanks!
First off, I'd LOVE to get a Halloween Christmas gift (especially a vintage one!) Secondly, those owls look like soap holders to me😂 No, seriously, my eyes couldn't settle on only one thing, I LOVE all your finds! 👍♥️
I have my grandparents' radio chest/high boy. In 1937 a flood filled their Louisville home, and ruined the legs of the highboy and most of their other furniture. Instead of throwing it out, my grandfather cut the legs down - the damaged part - and eventually it became a game cabinet, once the radio was gone. I treasure it, and the story that goes with it.
That glass pedestal thing with the rack , you thought might be an ice bucket, is from Bath & Body Works ! It's a candle stand , believe or not !! I have one
I remember watching Miss Frances. I love that green teapot! Isn't that LIttle Peggy March? I will follow him.....I'm just a girl who Cain't say no....I love your old vague song references. That's my specialty
In the 1980s I worked for a furniture company called Mersman Tables. I started working in finish mill and the supervisor told me to take some parts up to the radio room on the 3rd floor. Looked at him and said, we have a radio room. Yes they built radio cabinets in 20s - 30s. Sixty years later they still referred as the radio room.
Those brass candlesticks were fantastic! My heart skipped a beat. I never find things like that here. Turkey planter would be cute with flowers for Thanksgiving tablescape. Love shopping with you.
Loved the thrifting video! Great finds as usual! Loved the Vaseline glass.I always wonder if anyone in the parking lot is watching you doing your “ haul” videos…. Especially during the owl mask and …Halloween 👻 😂
That radio cabinet was outstanding. I have to like that, but it's the tall boy. But if I found it I would. Probably buy it. Put a radio inside and a phonograph on top. Thanks for sharing Scott.
The pink teapot is very cool. By the way, Santa Anita is pronounced Sana Anita when your from California. But since you’re not a Californian, you pronounced it correctly. 😁👏🏻👏🏻 Love the green flower frog.🐸 The décor possibilities with the owl 🦉 bookends are endless. Thanks for the Friday morning fun, Scott! Stay cool! 🫶🏻
What a fun shopping trip, Scott, thanks for taking us along. You have so many nice things in your thrift stores, that if I went shopping with you, I would need a moving van to get it all home! It is really very simple, if it is not the color of Vaseline Petroleum Jelly, then it is not vaseline glass.
Scott, I can feel for you. We are in our daily 100s here in AZ and it’s pretty uncomfortable outside. But we don’t have your humidity. (But how I do remember growing up in it.) and the improper glass styles used by folks today drives me crazy. 😵💫
@@oldcuriosityshop265 thought for sure Chester Drawers was at the top of your list. Just a lil south if you in Baltimore. I've heard it a million times 😆.
Good morning, Miss Frances! (I SO loved Miss Frances and Ding Dong School). And happy Friday, Scott! I loved the almost gaudy candleholders! And the candle stand that you put in your cart - just needs some gentle love. Oh, wow - a whole family of Canadian Hissing Cobra Chickens - EEK!! The LE Smith loving cup will be perfect for autumn as will the owl bookends. Great stuff!
Those little multi colored "coasters" look like Pairpoint. These small plates (they remind me of cup plates) were fund raising items for different organizations in the 70s. They were a big thing and actually had a large club following. Stay cool Scott!
I have something similar to the radio chest in the pop up that i have been trying to sell for years. It came out of my grandparents home. Mine is complete within the radio and a record player. The radio is in a pull out drawer on one side and storage on the other still with records in binders . I think they are made of glass. There are some John Philip Souza and Fanny Brice and Paul Whiteman records.
Before Hoover was president he saved thousand of starving people in Belgium and France by organizing food relief. Unfortunately he is only remembered for the depression which was not necessarily his fault.
I was just watching a Laura Caldwell thrifting video. One of the goodwill she was at had the price tags very well placed. I appreciate that.

My parents used to take the family to the Pub.
Loved the tea pots very nice and the glasses were lovely.😀👍

OMG Scott those brass candelabras were amazing!!! What a shame on those lovely yellow mugs 😑 Capri Sun is an orange drink 🥴
My uncle had a restored model t. My husband had a t bucket car. It was awesome, but we couldn't fit all 4 of our kids in it lol.

You and those owl bookends.. what a riot! 🦉😆 Just love that pink teapot. Have a great day and thanks for another fun thrifting trip!
I love the owl bookends. Why would anyone put the pink teapot in the oven!?
They probably used the same stamp on all of thier products. I have seen vases marked Fire-King, I guess in case you wanted to bake your tulips 🌷!
Halloween Christmas present 🎁 🤪 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 I love it. 😂
Love the HA capri dot glasses and owl bookends!

I loved everything Scott fun thrift hall🎉 I think the heat and humidity made you a little loopy.😂 stay cool and happy Thrifting❤
I like the owls and the teapots. Also I wish I could rescue all the well made old furniture with those crazy low prices.
I love the owls . Great idea with a candle behind

I love that green teapot, beautifully made. You do find the best things!
Love your editing! ❤
love the magazine rack. wish close enough to get. like you between mag racks and 30s bookcases, don't need another one!
Excellent, Scott. Thank you!
Oh this was fun on a Friday morning!
Love the plant stand & Glasses, nice…
Great finds 😲!!! Love the Vaseline dish and owls. And thanks for clearly saying "wrought" iron 😂. Wish folks listing items as Rod Iron could hear you.
Oh my goodness that’s just as bad as when people say Pam-plet rather than pamphlet!

I would love to have that Victorian plant stand 😍

😊interesting about the Radiocheck cabinets
That's a Hall tea pt and an old turkey IMO

You slay me !
I could use that mag rack to seperate my craft printer papers 🤔

The old 70 eights are actually made of shellac but they do shatter like a glass.
@@oldcuriosityshop265 wow. I didn't know. Thanks.
The Pub! Everybody who was anybody went to The Pub! Weren't they known for their prime rib?
👋🙌👍😎
Margaret Hoover is married to John Avalon. He just won a new york primary as a Democrat. She is a republican.
Before Hoover was president he saved thousand of starving people in Belgium and France by organizing food relief. Unfortunately he is only remembered for the depression which was not necessarily his fault.
That is absolutely correct. He is a hero in Belgium even to this day.
Pennsauken
Is that Rosemary Clooney?
Yes!
Don't you be disrespectin' Senator Barb! She's a Maryland treasure!
You thought that was disrespectful?
