Saint-Saëns is one of the most underrated composers ever, there is absolutly nothing he has done that doesn't make you want to see untill the end, he traps you into a journey.

This is such a magnet for anyone's emotions... I first saw a snippet of it in an exercise book as a child, and years later had the opportunity to play it for a group of colleagues with an excellent accompanist. The energy comes from within, and it is one of the most recalled melodies in my brain. Now that I am retired, if I begin to think of it, I must rehearse the entire piece in my consciousness from beginning to end. It is virtually impossible to stop... an ambrosia of the senses...

From the first time I heard this I fell deeply in love with the music that a violin can produce, it is something like my only dream in life to know how to play this instrument, I hope to be able to recover soon from my illness and be able to afford myself one violin.
