Terraria calamity mod is also cool, go play that and then nitpick about the inconsistencies in my recreation.
About the "inspired by Alex's Mobs Void Worm" bit, that same thing applies to me.
Tried finding cool names and designs but to no avail. But then, "skeletal Devourer of -C**ts- Gods" appeared out of nowhere in my mind. So, I had decided to make that a reality.
yep. My thoughts were "I want to make something better than alex's mobs void worm. also the astral infection place in terraria calamity is cool, maybe make something like that. *tries to make unique ideas to no avail* ah whatever, imma just make the astral infection." was fun working on it though... may make an update to it (other than the recent bug fix update).
@@swiff_r You might've already seen me comment this on PMC but I might consider composing noteblock covers of the Astral based themes and create a datapack which is an addon to this datapack which allows those covers to play in the infection and during the Astrum Deus fight..
@@theexiiedfeiiow4748 ye, i did see that. to be honest, i did think of something like this... at some point for something... but i didn't try to do it because i don't know how i would format it and the last time i tried to recreate music, it was bad (tho that was like 4 years ago now.) I have very little experience in making music (I might change that... eventually, idk). But, If you do try to make some dynamic tunes to the datapack, hope you have good luck!

Wow this is amazing
If this data pack is run on Minecraft with Forge loaded, some functions will be invalid. For example, after using Cosmtic Bean Mount, all items will be invalid, and boss summons such as Starcore will not be able to be used.
Bold claim, and second report of the issue today =D.
I've used this datapack with forge just now(1.19.2 only forge, no mods), and back early on in development(1.16.5, forge + mods). Not much should suggest functions would be invalid in any way, unless your in 1.15 or 1.20 (1.20 is debatable, id need to check).
But, i do have a suspicion on what may have happened. I'll just copy what i typed previously :'It is likely that you may have interrupted the "effect tag loop thing", the thing that ticks custom effect on each entity. There is a Cooldown effect that i use for, well, item cooldowns, but if the "effect tag loop thing" is interupted before the effect ends... you get the effects you just described.
How the loop would be interupted, i don't know, but it should be able to be fixed by getting effected by a custom effect such as: Titan Skin, Astral Injection, Broken Armor (Lunic Eye), or Adreneline.'
(just an update for anyone else that may read, my diagnosis was not the issue, actual bug unresolve atm)

@@infinityzer054 Don't worrry about the incompatable, i was just too lazy to match the pack version number (because of known cross compatability with versions).
Just see if it workes in a creative world and if it does, your good

It may be 1 of a few issues:
- Mainly, this datapack no longer works in 1.20.5. Minecraft changed the way items are stored, and because if that, this datapack will not be supported. =(
- Another possible issue if you're not in 1.20.5. If the world loads, but nothing in the datapack works, another datapack might be interfering with the datapack's load function (i don't know why this happens, just use /function astral_infection:load)

@@swiff_r Aussi j’adore ce datapack car dans le modpack que je veux créer je vais faire une update qui se nomme « In the multiverse of madness» et qui a pour référence déjà le film Marvel (honnêtement je ne suis pas trop mcu)et qui ajouterait plein de menaces provenant d’autre jeux

@@lumanxz742 one: defeat astrum deus to break the meteor. (like in the original terraria mod biome... when i made this, i don't know if it changed)

is there anyway to spawn the meteor manually like with commands since I put it in my server which is on 1.19.3 everything works besides the meteor spawning
I tested it out on single player and it worked but it just won't work on my server
Ok. there are a few (3) possible manual methods you can try
1 - Survival friendly method: (not really commands but, might as well put it here)
This wont properly spawn the meteor but it will allow you to access 99% of content. In the "Astral Material notebook" is shows a way to craft a small meteor. To spawn it you need 36 astral jelly and a gold block. The astral jelly can be obtained if you drop slimeballs above y260. The large meteor will then spawn from astrum aureus, after defeating astrum deus.
2 - Forcing the function:
If you want to spawn the actual meteor, we can try to run the commands that should be spawning it.
/scoreboard players set #WorldVar:Meteor MobAIOther 0
/function astral_infection:advancements/astral_meteor_spawn
Running these should 1, allow another meteor to spawn, and 2, spawn a meteor provided you have a blaze rod in your inventory.
3 - The More direct function:
If that doesn't work, you can try this function
/function astral_infection:advancements/spawn/astral_meteor_spawn
Similar function name but this one will directly spawn the meteor, but it also kills you. This and the previous method are the only two that spawns the full biome (blocks, stuctures, extrameteors, lag, you know - the works). Hope this helps!
@@swiff_r I tried all 3 solutions and none worked Im trying the first one but when I crafted it the only thing that spawned from It was a single flaming blue star thing nothing else
The second solution, whenever I do the /scoreboard players set #WorldVar:Meteor MobAIOther 0 it says unknown scoreboard objective MobAIOther
and the third solution when I did the command /function astral_infection:advancements/spawn/astral_meteor_spawn it didn't spawn anything besides a astral ore thing at spawn which didn't come with the biome or any structures just some random star things and the ore, no creatures, no structures.
one problem... I might have accidentally given myself all the achievements from this data pack trying to fix it myself so the game thinks I beat all the bosses already but really I haven't so that might interfere with some things

first, fixing advancemnets, easy: just remove the advancements with:
/advancement revoke @s through astral:astralmeteor2
all progression through the mod is messured through the advancements
Thing is with MobAIOther, your broken scoreboard, is that is pretty much stores every single variable, so it doesn't look like the datapack is working at all on the server.
You may want to check if ANY scoreboards exist ( /scoreboard objectives list ). I guess the next step after that would be to force:
/function astral_infection:load
This should directly reload all of the scoreboards and clear out any variables.

Should be around 150 blocks away either north or south (i don't remember which) from where you were when it spawned (nether portal you left from).
If you encounter an abnormal lag spike in one of those directions, that means it was generated and is nearby.
@@swiff_r No, I just can't find it. I created 3 worlds and in each one I flew 400 blocks around the portal in all directions, but I never found it.
Maybe he doesn't spawn at all? How can I check this?
@@BlebBoi hmmm. this appeared to be an issue before with a friends game, but i didn't know how to fix it.
To what i said before, it spawns ~200 blocks north (supposed to be random but due to a bug, its always north & i kept that).
Um. do these commands if you want to attempt do generate the meteor again:
/function astral_infection:load (I'll say why later)
/scoreboard players reset #WorldVar:Meteor MobAIOther
/advancement revoke @s only astral:generateastralmeteor
or if you really can't fix it:
/function astral_infection:advancements/spawn/astral_meteor_spawn (this function kills you due to weird old coding, & meteor spawns ontop of you... probably, its very random)
The only time i was able to fix a bug like this, the issue turned out to be that the load command didn't run (so non of the scoreboards and stuff were loaded), which i have now since learned can be caused by other datapacks... for some reason.

The small ones? After you defeat Astrum Deus, you can right click them to remove and pick them up.
hey how a i can locate the biome
Leave the nether with a blaze rod to spawn it.
It should be around 100 or 200 blocks south. I think.
