To compensate for the lack of skill (and also the random misalignment arrows are shot with) for bullseye, you can just have a 1 durability crossbow break when shooting the first one arrow, then have a second crossbow be dispensed to you that will hit a target block, that will open a trapdoor that lets a bunch of preshot arrows fall onto a different target block far enough away for the achievement. With piercing you could shoot through two trapped phantoms as well before it hits the first target block
Could you repeat that durability trick multiple times? For example giving a music disc afterwards and having a jukebox appear which you automatically put the disc in because you are still holding down the button. And then make sure you don't take the music disc out again so you can get a spyglass and use that too, as the zoom would prevent certain actions like inserting the disc.
Then monster hunted, a complete dialogue, best friends forever, a full pack (the dog one), two by two (every mobs bred), remote getaway, the city at the end of the game, free the end, the end again and just so much more could have been added. You could get a complete diet if the crossbow starts with 1 durability because you will still be allowed to hold down the button. The main issue would probably be the chorrus fruit. Just make sure you dispense a spyglass later so you don't loose those achivements. You might also be able to get monsters hunted if you dispense a flint and steel because i think tnt you ignited counts towards the achivement. You could also get not quite nine lives if you only dispence the exact number of glowstone needed. You might also be able to get the breeding achivements since feeding doesn't release the button... You could also get the city at the end of the game (end city) and remote getaway by pushing yourself with pistons into the gateway. Wax on/off could be possible without letting go of the button too by using an axe with 1 durability. So it's still possible to get more without letting go off rmb. Althoug I wouldn't count that as with one arrow but it is still possible within the rules you set. I just wan't to clarify that I enjoyed the video and that I'm just thinking about what more could be done within the limitations of "da rulessssss".
Also Subspace Bubble. I didn't see it show up in the advancements list, but it definitely felt like he traveled over 1k blocks in the nether before returning to the overworld.
After arbalistic, you could have had a sculk catalyst detect mobs dying and give it drop a loaded crossbow into your hand and then shoot 2 phantoms. Also with the crossbow for arbalistic, have it one 1 durability so the second crossbow can go into your hand

If you use the 1 durability trick everyone suggested there's a lot of extras you can do. Two birds one arrow: dispense another 1 dura crossbow (loaded) and shoot. Float with a Goat: Right clicking the boat and break the boat to continue on. The bats and the bees : Dispense two foods to breed things. Man's best friend: Tame a dog or parrot or something. Don't remember the names. Killing a guardian while having an axolotl help you Entering the ocean temple. Also the Meadow achievement since you hold the right click so dispense a disk. Throw a trident and all the achievements that come with it. Also if you have naturally generating loot chests on the path like the Bastion and the Fortress you can open those and you will automatically exit out once your far enough. Postmortal All the nether biomes if your lucky enough. Brushing up a suspicious sand (obtainable in item form using falling sand mechanic) Don't know if the crafter activates the crafting a pick and the crafting table achievement On a Rail: travel 500m in a minecart in a straight line Subspace bubble: along with On a rail... Just go through the nether. When pigs fly: The beginning: Spawn and kill the wither under the end portal Overkill: deal nine hearts of damage to a mob. Taming all cat variants. Breeding every type of animal. Leader of the pack
ok back to the bows, you can place a pre-shot arrow on a trapdoor above a target block and then when it gets activated it gives you bullseye, same premise for 2 birds 1 arrow. monsters hunted can be gotten if you place a tnt at the end with lava before it, when the arrow hits the tnt it will light it, allowing kill credit for each kill with the arrow. the mob setup is the hard part though OH also you can put the crossbow in your offhand when you start, and nothing in ur mainhand. after you shoot the arrow, position yourself in front of a jukebox while still holding right click. then the disc will be used and then you can do spyglass advancements
pre shot arrow wont do anything if it isnt mine, besides, if the arrow hits a block, it loses its piercing status, the trident hitting a lightning rod works cuz it requires lightning to hit a villagers nearby. the tnt one again cuz of funny game machanics, wont work (idk why i cant explain), the offhand one is possible i overlooked that one D:
One way to force the bullseye might be to use pistons to align the arrow after it lands, so a machine can throw the arrow onto the bullseye, maybe with a precise TNT cannon? The machine would have plenty of time to work, since you spend so much time in the overworld. Really neat video though.
couldn't you also get how did we get here by 1. building the contraption in a village, drinking an ominous bottle, then cheese the raid with like iron golems or something while you go through the rest of the overworld part of the contraption for hero of the village, a second ominous bottle for raid omen, a third ominous bottle before entering the trial chamber section for trail omen, and a fourth after entering the end for bad omen, 2. have skulk sensors and a shrieker in the end for blindness, 3. a wither rose somewhere in the end for wither, 4. a husk for hunger, 5. a dispenser with a glowing arrow that kills the player with a totem of undying in the offhand for glowing and absorption (and regeneration and fire resistance i guess), and 7. a dolphin, elder guardian, and conduit nearby the water elevator in the end for dolphin's grace, mining fatigue, and conduit power respectively, since all the other effects are already applied? in the process, it'd also give hero of the village (the advancement) and postmortal alternatively, if you follow what some of the other comments mentioned, you could have the crossbow be at 1 durability to free up your main hand slot so you can hold right click and get the following achievements while moving in the nether or something: not today, think you by dropping a shield at 1 durability, then having a dispenser shoot an arrow at you to deflect the arrow and break the dispenser zombie doctor by dropping a golden apple, then passing a zombie villager with the weakness effect not quite "nine" lives by dropping 4 glowstone, then passing a respawn anchor to charge it remote gateway by dropping an ender pearl while in front of an end gateway, teleporting through it, and possibly entering an end city by luck for the city at the end of the game the power of books by dropping a comparator and forcing the player to place it behind a chiseled bookshelf respecting the dead by dropping the player a brush at 2 durability, then forcing them to brush suspicious sand or gravel for a pottery sherd that enters their inventory while their main hand is occupied isn't it scute by using the brush from the previous thing on an armadillo star trader by trading with a villager while at build height, then killing it to maintain overworld actionability sound of music by dropping a music disc, then playing it bullseye by dropping a loaded crossbow at 1 durability, then shooting it at a target block 30 blocks away lighten up and wax off by dropping an axe at 1 durability, then scraping a waxed copper bulb under lock and key by dropping a trial key, then passing by a vault revaulting by dropping an ominous trial key, then passing by an ominous vault husbandry by dropping any food for the player to consume the parrots and the bats by dropping 2 of anything you can breed animals with, then breeding them together glow and behold! by dropping a glow ink sac, then passing by a sign wax on by dropping a honeycomb, then passing by a copper block, possibly the copper bulb that got lighten up and wax off when the squad hops into town by dropping 3 leads, then passing by 3 frogs of different variants little sniffs and planting the past by dropping 2 torchflower seeds, then passing by farmland and a snifflet shear brilliance by dropping shears at 1 durability, then passing a wolf with wolf armor then finally war pigs by passing a bastion chest to open it, ending the need to hold right click
Really neat contraption! What an interesting idea, I’d love to see just how far you can possibly push something like this, only having one input to get as many advancements as possible. In the future, something like replay mod might be helpful for getting some cool shots of you moving through the machine from an outside perspective, which might look cool!
3 anchievment ya could also add in the run 1) postmortal - by having the crossbow at 1 durapilty u could get post mortal by getting a totem after the crossbow breaks and falling around 20 blocks and losing the totem 2) subspace travel - just travel the amount needed for anchievment (im pretty sure it was 8k blocks meaning 1k blocks in nether) 3) end city anchievment - by using a flying machiene to get there
Imagine doing this with Blaze and Caves you could have the arrow cause hundreds of different items to drop and get probably several hundred advancements from it!

This game, pfft, game I say. This video was well thought through but rather, you doing this whole thing that took 20 hours, is just crazy, but THAT IS what gives a good video. Dedication. On doing crazy wild things but still a glorious achievement to create. Awesome. Epic 👍

3 improvement i've noticed (that work) :1. Hero of the village, simply change the pig/cow with the last pillager of a raid 2. immortality (totem of undying one) just make the crossbow 1 durability and after it breaks you pick up a totem and die from the lava waterways in the nether 3. replace the other farm animal with the ender dragon just set it up so that the dragon doesn't break anyhting
Could you perhaps trigger a target block that release tnt on every hostile mob getting monsters hunted (or if that wont kill warden/wither fast enough use a tnt arrow railgun)? I think that gives you kill cred. And if not, fire flaming arrows with a bow onto trapdoors which are triggered by the target block. This would lose arbalistic but can be replaced by having 2 phantoms as the 2 mobs of choice. also if you freeze the ender dragon in the end and get it to one health, you could kill it with tnt getting free the end. also free the end and city at the end of the game are easy fixes (just go thru a gateway)
maybe, i do have a feeling that the tnt one wont work cuz a big issue is that the arrow loses some 'weird' properties after hitting the 5th mob, two birds one arrow was explained in the video already, free the end could work but i guess i was too tired for brainstorming ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

To be honest the limiting factor would probably be the biome exploration given that most other advancements only take time to set up everything at once But I think using the likes of sci crafts enderpeal cannon and a really specific seed that has everything close the time could be like sub 30 maybe even 20
Just a warning the quality of what I wrote may be lacking, there was just so much! What if the crossbow had 1 durability? You could then pick up a totem in your hand and at some point achieve the post mortem advancement. If using other items is also allowed as long as you do not start new inputs you could also pick up single use items and have them used. The last item would be the spyglass. This also frees up the offhand slot for something else. Additionally, you can use item frames to remove any items from your hand. Some notable ones: picking up several fish and tame every cat (same for dogs), picking up a shield with 1 durability and have an arrow shot from a dispenser towards you, picking up a brush with 2 durability, brush a suspicious block and pick up a sherd (can also be done when the chest explodes), then brush an armadillo. Other benefits would be riding mobs/vehicles, (a hopper would be used to pick up broken boats or minecarts so you don't pick it up,) block interactions such as opening a chest in a bastion remnant. You could also set up killing some mobs for advancements in chunks and unload them, then once they load you would get the advancements. The ones I have thought of would be killing a breeze with their own wind charge, killing a ghast with their own fireball, two birds one arrow (which would mean you would actually achieve it with an extra arrow), maybe some way to kill the ender dragon. You could use this method to kill all mobs too, one of which would be with a trident with channeling which also hits a villager. You could also breed animals and unload the chunk before they finish and repeat it for all animals so you get the parrots and the bats advancement as well as the one for breeding all animals. You can also use this to get Zombie Doctor. You can also shoot an arrow at a block during setup and have a contraption drop the arrow on a bullseye. Remote getaway and The End... Again... should be easy ones (pretty sure dispensers can spawn end crystals). You Need a Mint might be possible but you would need the bottle in the offhand as well as being able to collect the dragon's breath. Before that though this bottle can be used to collect honey from a beehive and can be consumed for reuse. A balanced diet should be possible but would take a while. Finding an end city would also be possible but might also be a long wait. Hopefully none of these break any of the other advancements!

@@laviOnFire in older versions, there was a bug that allowed some pillagers to spawn with piercing multishot crossbow. Just get it in older versions and update the game and you will still have the glitched crossbow. Note: This is very rare

2:56 every time mojang ads a new feature, they add milion advancements related to it. Also they are engaged to rafts, because creative redstone menu has an oak chest boat, and a chest raft, but no other types. Also they are engaged to spawner, bundle, and armor trims, because they are the only items with actual tooltips. (The spawner isn't new, but it got its tooltip when was added to the creative inventory recently)
If you allow flying machines and a lot of time (which you seem to do), you can get adventure time, hot tourist destination and every advancement related to visiting structures, like mineshafts and end cities.
very true! big issue tho is that itll take 3 - 5 buisness days for it to be fully complete /:, so i might introduce a rule for the process to be like max 10 minutes
Realistically, you could probably simplify the dragon stuff by just keeping the spyglass held up the whole time and ending staring directly where she perches. It might take some waiting, but she will always end up there eventually, guaranteeing the achievement. This would probably mean you can't move your mouse at all the entire time for it to be valid, though.
When falling to get caves and cliffs make a dispenser on a redstone clock not active until you hit the bottom, this will allow you to switch to a totem while falling and earn “postmortal”
Technically you could do at least 4 more though it would be even MORE time-consuming than they already are: Adventuring Time by constructing a massive series of flying machines that collectively go across all other 38 biomes needed, Hot Tourist Destinations by doing that in the Nether, as well as Subspace Bubble, and The City at the End of the Game by making one going all the way from the main End island to an End City.

I had thought about this concept of getting a bunch of advancements with a single crossbow shot a bunch ever since 1.14 came out, years ago now. I figured this would almost certainly be the way to get the most advancements, what with mojang's obsession with crossbow advancements, plus miscellaneous advancements that could also be triggered with the shot, like bullseye and monster hunter/hunted. never in a million yeaars did i think someone could get 58. havent watched the video yet; I'm very excited to see how you pulled it off and resolved this little autistic tangent of mine.

If you use the 1 durability trick everyone suggested there's a lot of extras you can do.
Two birds one arrow: dispense another 1 dura crossbow (loaded) and shoot.
Float with a Goat: Right clicking the boat and break the boat to continue on.
The bats and the bees : Dispense two foods to breed things.
Man's best friend: Tame a dog or parrot or something.
Don't remember the names.
Killing a guardian while having an axolotl help you
Entering the ocean temple.
Also the Meadow achievement since you hold the right click so dispense a disk.
Throw a trident and all the achievements that come with it.
Also if you have naturally generating loot chests on the path like the Bastion and the Fortress you can open those and you will automatically exit out once your far enough.
Postmortal
All the nether biomes if your lucky enough.
Brushing up a suspicious sand (obtainable in item form using falling sand mechanic)
Don't know if the crafter activates the crafting a pick and the crafting table achievement
On a Rail: travel 500m in a minecart in a straight line
Subspace bubble: along with On a rail... Just go through the nether.
When pigs fly:
The beginning: Spawn and kill the wither under the end portal
Overkill: deal nine hearts of damage to a mob.
Taming all cat variants.
Breeding every type of animal.
Leader of the pack
ok back to the bows, you can place a pre-shot arrow on a trapdoor above a target block and then when it gets activated it gives you bullseye, same premise for 2 birds 1 arrow. monsters hunted can be gotten if you place a tnt at the end with lava before it, when the arrow hits the tnt it will light it, allowing kill credit for each kill with the arrow. the mob setup is the hard part though
OH also you can put the crossbow in your offhand when you start, and nothing in ur mainhand. after you shoot the arrow, position yourself in front of a jukebox while still holding right click. then the disc will be used and then you can do spyglass advancements
pre shot arrow wont do anything if it isnt mine, besides, if the arrow hits a block, it loses its piercing status, the trident hitting a lightning rod works cuz it requires lightning to hit a villagers nearby. the tnt one again cuz of funny game machanics, wont work (idk why i cant explain), the offhand one is possible i overlooked that one D:
One way to force the bullseye might be to use pistons to align the arrow after it lands, so a machine can throw the arrow onto the bullseye, maybe with a precise TNT cannon? The machine would have plenty of time to work, since you spend so much time in the overworld.

couldn't you also get how did we get here by 1. building the contraption in a village, drinking an ominous bottle, then cheese the raid with like iron golems or something while you go through the rest of the overworld part of the contraption for hero of the village, a second ominous bottle for raid omen, a third ominous bottle before entering the trial chamber section for trail omen, and a fourth after entering the end for bad omen, 2. have skulk sensors and a shrieker in the end for blindness, 3. a wither rose somewhere in the end for wither, 4. a husk for hunger, 5. a dispenser with a glowing arrow that kills the player with a totem of undying in the offhand for glowing and absorption (and regeneration and fire resistance i guess), and 7. a dolphin, elder guardian, and conduit nearby the water elevator in the end for dolphin's grace, mining fatigue, and conduit power respectively, since all the other effects are already applied?
in the process, it'd also give hero of the village (the advancement) and postmortal
alternatively, if you follow what some of the other comments mentioned, you could have the crossbow be at 1 durability to free up your main hand slot so you can hold right click and get the following achievements while moving in the nether or something:
not today, think you by dropping a shield at 1 durability, then having a dispenser shoot an arrow at you to deflect the arrow and break the dispenser
zombie doctor by dropping a golden apple, then passing a zombie villager with the weakness effect
not quite "nine" lives by dropping 4 glowstone, then passing a respawn anchor to charge it
remote gateway by dropping an ender pearl while in front of an end gateway, teleporting through it, and possibly entering an end city by luck for the city at the end of the game
the power of books by dropping a comparator and forcing the player to place it behind a chiseled bookshelf
respecting the dead by dropping the player a brush at 2 durability, then forcing them to brush suspicious sand or gravel for a pottery sherd that enters their inventory while their main hand is occupied
isn't it scute by using the brush from the previous thing on an armadillo
star trader by trading with a villager while at build height, then killing it to maintain overworld actionability
sound of music by dropping a music disc, then playing it
bullseye by dropping a loaded crossbow at 1 durability, then shooting it at a target block 30 blocks away
lighten up and wax off by dropping an axe at 1 durability, then scraping a waxed copper bulb
under lock and key by dropping a trial key, then passing by a vault
revaulting by dropping an ominous trial key, then passing by an ominous vault
husbandry by dropping any food for the player to consume
the parrots and the bats by dropping 2 of anything you can breed animals with, then breeding them together
glow and behold! by dropping a glow ink sac, then passing by a sign

when the squad hops into town by dropping 3 leads, then passing by 3 frogs of different variants

Neither of those things are the point of the video. It's just to see how many you can get with a single input.
I'd also be interested to see how many advancements you could get in, like, a second or a minute
Really neat contraption! What an interesting idea, I’d love to see just how far you can possibly push something like this, only having one input to get as many advancements as possible.
In the future, something like replay mod might be helpful for getting some cool shots of you moving through the machine from an outside perspective, which might look cool!

3 anchievment ya could also add in the run
1) postmortal - by having the crossbow at 1 durapilty u could get post mortal by getting a totem after the crossbow breaks and falling around 20 blocks and losing the totem
2) subspace travel - just travel the amount needed for anchievment (im pretty sure it was 8k blocks meaning 1k blocks in nether)
3) end city anchievment - by using a flying machiene to get there
Imagine doing this with Blaze and Caves you could have the arrow cause hundreds of different items to drop and get probably several hundred advancements from it!

3 improvement i've noticed (that work) :1. Hero of the village, simply change the pig/cow with the last pillager of a raid
2. immortality (totem of undying one) just make the crossbow 1 durability and after it breaks you pick up a totem and die from the lava waterways in the nether
3. replace the other farm animal with the ender dragon just set it up so that the dragon doesn't break anyhting

Could you perhaps trigger a target block that release tnt on every hostile mob getting monsters hunted (or if that wont kill warden/wither fast enough use a tnt arrow railgun)? I think that gives you kill cred. And if not, fire flaming arrows with a bow onto trapdoors which are triggered by the target block. This would lose arbalistic but can be replaced by having 2 phantoms as the 2 mobs of choice. also if you freeze the ender dragon in the end and get it to one health, you could kill it with tnt getting free the end. also free the end and city at the end of the game are easy fixes (just go thru a gateway)
maybe, i do have a feeling that the tnt one wont work cuz a big issue is that the arrow loses some 'weird' properties after hitting the 5th mob, two birds one arrow was explained in the video already, free the end could work but i guess i was too tired for brainstorming ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

To be honest the limiting factor would probably be the biome exploration given that most other advancements only take time to set up everything at once
But I think using the likes of sci crafts enderpeal cannon and a really specific seed that has everything close the time could be like sub 30 maybe even 20

Just a warning the quality of what I wrote may be lacking, there was just so much!
What if the crossbow had 1 durability? You could then pick up a totem in your hand and at some point achieve the post mortem advancement. If using other items is also allowed as long as you do not start new inputs you could also pick up single use items and have them used. The last item would be the spyglass. This also frees up the offhand slot for something else. Additionally, you can use item frames to remove any items from your hand. Some notable ones: picking up several fish and tame every cat (same for dogs), picking up a shield with 1 durability and have an arrow shot from a dispenser towards you, picking up a brush with 2 durability, brush a suspicious block and pick up a sherd (can also be done when the chest explodes), then brush an armadillo. Other benefits would be riding mobs/vehicles, (a hopper would be used to pick up broken boats or minecarts so you don't pick it up,) block interactions such as opening a chest in a bastion remnant. You could also set up killing some mobs for advancements in chunks and unload them, then once they load you would get the advancements. The ones I have thought of would be killing a breeze with their own wind charge, killing a ghast with their own fireball, two birds one arrow (which would mean you would actually achieve it with an extra arrow), maybe some way to kill the ender dragon. You could use this method to kill all mobs too, one of which would be with a trident with channeling which also hits a villager. You could also breed animals and unload the chunk before they finish and repeat it for all animals so you get the parrots and the bats advancement as well as the one for breeding all animals. You can also use this to get Zombie Doctor. You can also shoot an arrow at a block during setup and have a contraption drop the arrow on a bullseye. Remote getaway and The End... Again... should be easy ones (pretty sure dispensers can spawn end crystals). You Need a Mint might be possible but you would need the bottle in the offhand as well as being able to collect the dragon's breath. Before that though this bottle can be used to collect honey from a beehive and can be consumed for reuse. A balanced diet should be possible but would take a while. Finding an end city would also be possible but might also be a long wait. Hopefully none of these break any of the other advancements!

Just get it in older versions and update the game and you will still have the glitched crossbow.

If you allow flying machines and a lot of time (which you seem to do), you can get adventure time, hot tourist destination and every advancement related to visiting structures, like mineshafts and end cities.

Realistically, you could probably simplify the dragon stuff by just keeping the spyglass held up the whole time and ending staring directly where she perches. It might take some waiting, but she will always end up there eventually, guaranteeing the achievement.
This would probably mean you can't move your mouse at all the entire time for it to be valid, though.

I had thought about this concept of getting a bunch of advancements with a single crossbow shot a bunch ever since 1.14 came out, years ago now. I figured this would almost certainly be the way to get the most advancements, what with mojang's obsession with crossbow advancements, plus miscellaneous advancements that could also be triggered with the shot, like bullseye and monster hunter/hunted. never in a million yeaars did i think someone could get 58. havent watched the video yet; I'm very excited to see how you pulled it off and resolved this little autistic tangent of mine.
