I took the NF journey with many reactors in Jan. 2020. I was hooked on him in just 3 songs. This is the type of Hip Hop/Rap that I love! I cried so hard the first few times that I saw this video. Most of the reactors I've watched cry at this one. That is a beautiful thing. If you feel like crying then cry. Let those emotions flood out.
This was a beautiful reaction! This whole song is just a masterpiece!
There was supposed to be a 3rd verse, but Nate got so emotional and told everyone to leave the studio and just hit record. The end part is just him talking to her from that abused little boy's pov and he just broke down. His producer, Tommee Profitt, told him to keep that part instead of the 3rd verse. Smart choice by them. It was so impactful!
    Much love ✌🏼❣️

I lost my abusive alcoholic father to pills when i was 17. It was very wierd, because i didn't like my father, he wasn't there for me, only beating me but damn it was the most difficult time to come over. Today I'm 42, not drinking, scared of violens and just wants to help people there needs help.

Thank you for this! Such a genuine reaction to such an emotional song! Man... the ending is the roughest part... his producer convinced him to leave that part in as the ending where he was crying bc it showed how real and raw his emotions were 💯 make sure to follow up with Hope by NF... he says here he doesn't forgive her but there's a happy ending... there's a reason he's wearing white now and not black 😊 He finally found happiness & was able be free himself of a lot of his past trauma and move past it. I love how his albums tell a whole story... he's def in my top 5 artists 💯 easily! Much love 💕

Your emotions triggered the GREAT insights you need not apologize for.
    I was worried.
Your sharing took courage to face the feeling; wisdom to put it into words.
Fear, guilt, shame anger push others away.
    Deepest gratitude and respect.

As for crying I think it's only natural. Listening to music heightens the emotions and therefore makes it harder to hold back the tears. Never apologise for it. You are a very special person. 🤗 I imagine this song has helped a lot of people in a similar situation. I've only ever known one addict directly and it was a constant spiral from doing ok to crashing back into it. As far as relating directly to this song, I am forever grateful that I can't because I was fortunate enough to win the parent lottery. 💕

Both my Wife and I were blessed to have been raised in a good situation with both parents around. My wife works as a specialist in the public school system, and her district has a high level of low income/poverty. The things she sees and hears about on a daily basis have permanently affected her mental health. It's hard for a lot of people to conceive how screwed up so many people's lives are.

It’s only normal with a song like this, got me too when I first heard it! It’s still not diluted after many times, such a sad story to tell - hits hard with me; for personal reasons 😢
Don’t beat yourself up for showing your emotions, holding them in isn’t good for you!

In comments to other reactions, I have seen so many people say that this song and video was the kick in the pants that either got them clean and sober or kept them doing well. I have listened to quite a number of NF's songs, and the way he delves into emotional traumas is in my mind a ministry, reaching out to those who are in pain and helping them recognize their issues and take steps to heal.

    How's it going ? In a good mood, now ? I hope so🦘
Anyway, here's again, a masterpiece. NF, Eminem, the same " anger " for some songs. By the way, Kino, or Loko Kuerdo from Colombia are great as well//

Hi Red, it's hard being ugly cried and still beautiful, but you managed it ❤‍🩹. Respect for not giving in, but making it through the video. You are right, this is important, 'cause it happens way too often.
I admit, as a metalhead this is absolutely not my style of music, but I respect the artistic value, the raw emotion and the honesty. Rap and Hip Hop are too often just worshipping the (in my eyes) wrong values, so it is indeed good to see that there are artists out there that are genuine, not compromised by an industry that is trying to sell "Cool", but the truth is, they sell violence and exploitation.
    Stay save.
With love from Germany, Prog O'Holic
