‘It just sickens me’: Douglas Murray slams the Secret Service’s DEI quota

- Author Douglas Murray has reacted to diversity picks at the Secret Service as they aim to have 30 per cent woman recruits by 2030.
“Why does she want 30 per cent women? Why?” Mr Murray told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio.
“You don’t need 30 per cent women, you just need 100 per cent the best. That’s all.
“It just sickens me to see these things, the smugness, the stupid lack of questioning of the premises of this - what does it matter what the DEI quota is if you almost had a former president assassinated on live television in front of millions.”
All DEI does is lower standards.

I feel like an arse because in the eighties I went on multiple marches for equality. The idea at the time was that whatever race, gender or sexuality you are it shouldn't limit your employment or educational chances. Something I still 100% believe in. It has developed however into something far different and utterly warped. The idea was those things shouldn't be important and instead it is now all that matters. If some doctor is about to operate on you all you should care about is how good a surgeon he is.Not his colour and not who he's sleeping with.

If you believe that an employer is discriminating against someone because of their characteristics (race, age, gender, or whatever), there are laws against that and the employer should have to answer for it. I don't see a problem with a female having this position. But the position should only be given to the person male or female, who has the qualification and ability to carry out the job at the highest level. As a female I would hate to be given a job because of my gender. I want to earn the position because I'm the best person for the job and no other reason.

I am an American woman. And it looks to me that this was a deliberate effort to end Trumps campaign. A good man lost his life. Our hearts break for his family. The head of the Secret Service has told nothing but lies. Let's see what the "coms" recordings between the law enforcement agencies have to day. Was someone told to stand down? If those recordings have disappeared, we know who is responsible.
We are never going to be allowed to hear the recordings from that day. They were incompetent and even that isn't enough to explain their actions. They allowed this to happen one way or another.
I agree with Murray, but for one thing. This isn't simply "childish games". This was allowed to happen. A TOTAL inside job.

Yep, i had my career as a police officer destroyed by the senior officers of West Mercia Police when they implemented these crooked rules by giving a female officer the post of Dog Handler after she FAILED the fitness test when i PASSED the fitness test, how can that be right?

I worked for the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service and on a training course met a young good looking lesbian firefighter. When I asked her if she had been on any interesting shouts (call outs) she replied oh no I live 10 minutes from the station so never make it on time. Didn't stop the fire service using her image on their publicity ...

How was your career "destroyed"? You were still a police officer weren't you, despite not becoming a dog-handler? You may have passed the fitness test, but failed in other areas. Just how fit do you need to be to be a dog-handler anyway? Not expected to run after crooks I wouldn't have thought.
We have to keep this in mind: this was not a "failure" of the secret service. This was a "stand down", the secret service let this happen ON PURPOSE!!!

Spoke with a serving fireman yesterday, he recounted an event that happened to his colleague. House fire , guys clothing was alight; female firefighter was bravely trying to drag him out but didn’t have the strength. Her colleague pushed her to one side and dragged him out. Unbelievably the lady has put an official complaint in against him which is ongoing. You couldn’t make it up! Sadly the guy died the next day. The world has truly gone mad.
NZ here. I spoke to a female Police Sergeant a while ago - said when they arrive at some calls, other female cops won't get out of the car if it looks a bit iffy....
