Ian I'm sorry I didn't get to see you at the royal Albert show but it was an absolute pleasure to see you and Rich at Lamma as you know we can't make them all the weather predicts for us😊
Tell Biskit theres a squirrel in her tractor.... then see her climb 😉
A couple of years ago we drove past a fairly newly ploughed field and there were dozens of kites and buzzards plus the usual corvids, all searching for worms. We usually see a few kites in the village these days, but I was amazed how many had come to this ploughed field
Nothing quite like the smell of new mown grass.Nearly as good as fresh hay.A sign of summer.
Well done Ian "Three men went to mow a meadow", well you were alone and mowed four.
Good Morning Farmer P, very nice video!!!!!!😉👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍💪💪💪💪💪
Don't know why, but I was amused to see that you listen to the Archers in the tractor 😀. Good to get the hay started.
A lession in listening to noises and how to listen .
A lession in mowing hay and watching the way the Corvets birds act , a lession in mowing .
Very interesting thankyou .😊
Hi Ian I live in Buckinghamshire near to where the red kite were introduced and around here they are a pest now. They steel all sorts of food. If they can see it they take it. Sausage rolls, whole pizzas etc. introduced by the Getty family on their estate.
Your doing a good job there. That Archers music took me back as I haven't listened to it for years.👍❤
Good job Ian. Can't imagine the hard work when farmers cut grass by hand! 'We're standing on the shoulders of giants.
I live in Vietnam and local farmers come round with a Honda M/C and trailer, a trusty bush whacker and cut the 1.5.m tall grass. Load the trailer and take it back home and feed the cattle on a daily process. Cattle are also grazed on roadside verges and unbuilt on plots. Large unbuilt plots get planted with cassava for MSG production, the cattle like to dig up the left overs.
All together now
One man went to mow, went to mow a meadow
One man and his dog
Went to mow a meadow.
Hands up who has an earworm now.... your welcome 😁
As Mr Meatloaf said... "You took the words right out of my mouth". LOL
You know it’s a good crop when you struggle to see the swath you just dropped 👌😁. I’ve still not started our hay yet 😩🤦♂
Mowing keeps you on your toes, lots of head turning and lever pulling
Nice to see our farmers plans came together. He happy farmer driving around.😅
You’re going to have to make the yard bigger if you get as many bales as I’m thinkin you may. If the forecast is correct, that’ll be some nice.
Good video as always watch for the baby deer mr. P. Good crop of grass 👍👍👍
I'm still amazed that you can't deal with the badgers that are damaging your farm & property and quite possibly be causing you to fail the tuberculosis tests.
Interesting vblog. Love the smell of freshly cut grass 😊
Regards to all at Bradley Farm 🎉
Fresh cut grass. Lovely smell nice to see the birds looking for their tea. Nothing in the grass like last year when you caught a roe OUCH
You got a hell of a crop of grass mr p.
Transport pin!
A very good Thursday evening to you all
send some of your good weather up here if you can. Struggling to get the weather to cut my hay.
Evening farmer p mum p abbi holli emma sam bisskit and ur other dogs
Its good that u got ur grass sorted and that the whether were good 4 u
How is ur feet now?
Love u guys 💚💜💙❤️
Really good to see that after all that effort and investment in Pigeon Mead it has paid dividends.
Hi Ian, nice to see you getting a bumper crop. Just wondering if you put up subtitles for some of your overseas viewers! "Knacker Rattlers"😅
I recon you got the picture Alwyn 😄😄👍
Badgers digging for corn cobs... that's a new one, or just another one to 'point' the finger at the badger
@@rogerofrhodri I don’t think we can blame the deer or fairies for it Roger.
Looks good 😊 but mowing in 3rd gear, of the high box? Thats fast!
In our own fields i go 4th of the middle box. Plenty fast, but i drove circles, so no backing up and clutching etc on the headlands. And i run a (t)rusty old pöttinger drummower, 1995, does one heck of a job in thick and abut flattened grass 👍. Finally mowed last week, 153 big squares (70×120×180) of 6hectares. Had to abandon some wet bits, but no one got stuck. Others weren't that lucky around here.. balers that had to be pulled out with 3 tractors and stuff. 😮
Hope you have it in by the time we see this 😊
@@mrvanahead Only first gear of high box 👍🏼
some spin on filter's have a check valve built in. may be somthing to look into?
lavender in the hedge row Ian, it'll fettle em
Happy 4 the of July . It's very quiet here .Hope all is well with you and your family too .
Looks like you’re going to have a lot of bales farmer p, still never mind won’t take long to pick them up (two at a time) with the merlo on demo 🤪 🍻
if you make large bales of hay such as straw , instead of round bales you still gain space , but can the bobcat handle that is the question ?
@@eddyverbraeken2019 The skid steer is quite happy to chuck big squares about too Eddy.
Its the fod chain mate
Nice one enjoyed 🚜👍🏴
very good video as always 👍❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
🎉🎉 Possibly won't need to bring any bails back from other farm. Have you a rough idea how many animals you're feeding and bails you'll need 😊
Hi Ian think you would have been better with an old sickle bar
37:37 great content again you definitely going to get some bales off all that grass mind you once’s it been shook a couple times it seems to thin out a little bit
My little dog is eight still acts like a puppy except for jumping up she yelps as if it hurts but vets can’t figure out what hurts.
The only thing they can figure is some type of nerve pain . Mild pain meds does the trick
Do dogs go after badgers or is it like our skunks any dog with sense leaves them alone
I add a little injector cleaner when I put fuel in Machinery
👍
👋😊
Did you pass by the Jones Farm with the mower?
😀
Nice field of grass ian and biscuit sound asleep bless her xx was that the artchers ian
Pin ! .i assume you took the pin out before cutting. And has the neighbour to that field stopped throwing their plant rubbish into it
@@mandypaul7263 It’s a pretty flat field Mandy, no ridges or undulations, so the pin can stay in transport 🙂👍🏼
Plenty grass on there I think it is the same all over
have you thought about getting a used front mower ian for your case instead of the side mower? or does your case not haveing a front pto
@@stigroarjohansen5656 no front PTO.
Excellent video - great looking crop!
U call them bull maines I no them as black cows lol😅
austin powers dont bang the mower baby lol
If the goings good ian crack on
Imagine cutting that hay with a scythe?
its a 3 some ian lol
Out of interest do u ever change the oil in the bed of the mower, well worth draining it out flush bed with diesel and refresh oil
@@danielcunningham5052
Yes, done it twice since we bought it.
Put Holly in your Fathers 🚜 and start with the Tedder while you are Mowing 🤔
This episode of mowing exemplifies Ian Bradley's need for a tractor with flotation. If one didn that for 8 to 10 hours it would be terrible.
👍👍❤🐂🌱
The hat probably sold for alot of money on E-bay!
Was there a roe deer calf last year that got caught by your mower
@@tonysargent7787 yes 😢
Hi Ian when is the case loader getting the third function fitted to it?
@@andrewdougal2262 Good question Andrew.
Always been told to go fence side upto the mower first by my Grandad🤔
@@markh5433
I always cut the outside fence line last, it’s the run most likely to cause damage to the machinery.
@@FarmerP 👍 yeah get that… he always did fence side First🤷♂️ and I guess it’s stuck with me…. “ Don’t forget Twice round fence side” god rest him😞
😎💙👍
How come the Richard don't come online
great video has always farmer p ian and Mrs p mother in law p Mikey mille baby pullen Sam emma Abbi and holli and miss biskit miss crumble miss gypsy miss pepper and miss pickle miss Muppet 👍
Comment for engagement
Its a terrible thing when a crop is so heavy that you have to travel in a lower gear
Is that Pigeon Mead after Maize?
@@paulstorer6937 yes Paul.
Weathermen would be known to lie, but sure u just have to take the chance or you would never get anything done in farming
👍👍👍🇮🇪
HELLO: "IAN" ASKED YOU WHERE IS THE HONDA QUAD ?. THEN YOU DON'T HAVE TO WALK.
@@acefrehley3797 I prefer to walk, it gives me the time and peace to take in what’s going on around the farm.
@@FarmerP YOU WALK MORE THAN HOSPITAL PERSONS. YOU CAN SEE THAT IN VIDEO'S WHERE YOU HAVE SHORT PANS ON.
🍀☘️🌱🌱🌾🚜🚜👍🏻
The Badgers have been the cause of most of the problems that you have had on your Farm recently
That was 1776,sorry
The 4th of July is one of the worst days in English History! The process of losing the Colonies in the Americas began in 1976,and the Communists took over the Domestic Government in 2024!
