There’s concrete to pour in our new yard and on site, but an apparent Health and Safety issue brings cement deliveries to a halt.
We need to be out of the old yard by the end of the week, the move hasn’t started and there is no agreement in place with the landlord.
And when we need @danielashville the most, he does a runner and speeds off into the sunset!

@@StraightHeffin He said a few weeks back that sometimes you've to leave staff go even though you like them because you give them warnings but they're still unreliable. Two weeks later the tire fitter was gone....

Hello Daniel, old yard, new yard, when you gonna start moving? That's not Buckingham Palace! Keep the minimum in the old, and move everything else to the new yard , and upgrade as you go, or in the next 2 years you will be in the same spot " nothing gets done"
Literally commented that. They haven't moved a single thing. I would understand why their former landlord is hesitating giving them more time because at the very least move the container office's. They have a generator that works.
I think they have to move out of the old yard - someone else will be moving in.

Really pleased it’s going well Daniel! New yard is looking great and hope it works a lot better for you. Just a suggestion.. I think you could do with a flat bed with a proper clamp on it for the ton bag movements.. I’m sure you know that anyway, would make it a lot easier👍😊
About the cement silo handrail and step, it would’ve been cheaper and quicker just to add a short hose where the cement driver can connect on the ground level. It’s just funny to see the excuses why they won’t deliver cement. I drive a 25m tipping bulk truck in Finland and deliver cement, lime, talcum powder, sand etc. Many different places, many diffrent connecting points, sometimes even bit extreme, but never have I complained about not having a handrail and or steps😂 Even tough Finland takes workplace safety very serious.

Have you looked at getting building regs approval for your new yard permanent offices? On the cement silo, extend the pipe with a short length and an elbow so the delivery driver can connect around waist level, no need to piss about with handrails and steps then

I am sure he is already on top of the things like staff safety etc. But just wondering, does the tyre fitter informs the drivers that he is checking the tyres during the fleet check. What if the driver is unaware of him while he is under the vehicle? Hope that kind of incident never happens to anyone. Stay safe!
