I did as I was asked to, put my safety specs on before the tour 😂 AMI have come a long way in 21 years, and have a reputation second to none. They seem to think outside the box to improve their products and innovate where no one else has tried. Shop tour was fantastic, Aaron had a blast welding the sign 😎😁 Thank you to AMI for allowing all of us to come along for the tour, really appreciated 👍💪🇨🇦
It's cool to see the production process of equipment you use. AMI seems to have thier stuff together. These trips you take us on are a nice change from the DIRTy part of the job, no matter how PERFECT they are. Thanks Mike, Aaron, Matt and AMI Attachments.
Fare Dinkum Mike ..... You have a Great Ability to explain Sometimes Complicated processes that often leave the experts, although knowledgeable, sometimes have trouble getting it all across. And you also seem to know the right questions to ask. I have noticed this for a long time now. Its a Bloody Gift. Cheers From Australia🇦🇺 🇺🇸
MAGNIFICENT!! I love to get a look behind the scenes of how attachments are designed and made. Wonderful tour of their facility. Thanks to AMI and Jeff for allowing filming of their step by step operations, and thanks to you, Aaron and Mr. Millennial (NYA) for bringing it to us. Exceptional video.
This is what America has done best - forging excellence through innovation, hard work and mutually beneficial cooperation. Competition is the stimulus, but to me personal relationships make it worthwhile and sustainable. I love watching the work, but Camera Man Behind The Scenes deserves a raise!
This is one of those videos that will one day have well over a million views. It was surprising to see a LD18 in production although I think I remember hearing Chris say he had met with a design engineer with an idea for a specific type of bucket. After it was manufactured, Chris started using it in the field proving it to be a successful tool. From concept to a manufactured product, AMI has proven itself to be a successful business after 21 years. Great Video Mike.
I was a rod buster for 8 years when I got out of high school in Dallas TX. Blue shale is just a few feet below top soil in some places. They used to have to jackhammer into it then scoop it out with an excavator. That monster bucket with mean looking teeth would’ve come in handy back then. Great video DP. God bless you guys.
Great company, and I am so glad that you all showed their products. Quality is job 1 from start to finish. Hope to see you use their buckets soon. Let's dig hasn't broken any of their buckets, so Quality is there. Thanks again, Mike and crew, for the time and effort to bring it to viewers.
WhooHoo… we’re going on a field trip !!!! 👍😃. I hope everyone got their permission slip signed !!! Mike better be careful or he’ll lose Aaron and Matt to A. M. I. 😳. Aaron passed the welding test and we all know that Matt can paint. Heck … he’s tagged at least a hundred train cars and the sides of all the local Walmarts. 😬. Really enjoyed this one Mike !!! You guys have a fun and safe trip home 👍😃.
What an awesome tour!! Thanks DP, NYA and Aaron for a great tour. I've used Hardox on a tooling that I am developing and building here and lets say a section of 5 mm Hardox to bend it I had no oxy to heat it some I had to cut it just about all the way thur (1mm of material not cut thru) and I still struggled to bend it. Awesome stuff.
It’s great to see what goes into these products, the engineering, fabrication and assembly. They have pride in there products and that’s evident in there products !! Thx Mike
You did a great job on this Mike. I'm glad to see you guys get to enjoy a little perk like this as a side benefit of all the work you put into your channel.
I love listening to Canadians speak Canadian! If only you could have gotten them to say "Let's go out and about in a boat!". That's always fun to hear in Canadian!
It is impressive AMI allowed this video to be taken in their facility. It shows great confidence that their products are very hard to match. Good stuff, thanks for the tour!
That was a great tour. Aaron got to weld. You got opportunity to hint about a tilt bucket. AMI got some advertising. Even LD18 thumb got mentioned. You will get that bucket and you will love it
The dump box on my truck is made of Hardox 450 steel. It is 2000 lbs lighter than an ordinary dump box and the floor is only 1/4” thick. It has hauled thousands of tons of Ontario rock and it still looks like new. That was a great tour thanks for bringing us along.
Awesome tour sir, great to see AMI facilities and manufacturing process. Great people building a great product sir, thanks for the tag along with ya tour, enjoyed it.
Innovation and quality, these two factors are what built America. I personally wish these people All the best the future affords them based on their moto... GL 😊
I wonder if Mike went up with a trailer, just so he can borrow a bucket 🤭😂🤣 Really like going around these factories and Manufacturers of products, your team is really slick when it comes to filming and editing they should all be proud of the Dirt Perfect product. 👍 Can't wait to see you use one of these on the 210, it's going to be awesome. 🤗
Top quality factory. I can say that because through my carreers I have been involved in a large way with every aspect of this type of manufacturiung process. From design engineering, CAD design, CNC mill programming and setup to weldment fabrication. Very interesting and thanks for taking the time Mike. Keep on smiling.
I like that new bucket idea for detecting underground services, i will agree as well that this will be a ultimate game changer for doing civil work. Ive also heard about another system similar to this but for mining equipment, which notifies the opperator upon each scoop the system "scans" what kind of material they scooped up (such as copper, gold, ect). Needless to say i was impressed when i asked how effective it was, and was told that this system for a shovel bucket would pay for it self in 3 months. Really cool tour guys. Thanks for sharing!🤘😎🇨🇦
I worked at a forging company that holds many certificates like that! Bit more stringent because it was for aviation industry but I can really tell you that is some quality products AMI is making!!
Wow, what a growth trajectory. But it’s easy to see why they have succeeded at it. Thanks for the great video! And it looks like you’ll have a li’l Bumm work on your shelf.
thanks for showing us this process! .Love watching your videos. Play nice with AAron, don't know who gets beat up the worst you or the little man, keep up the good work.
Thanks for sharing Mike, you had all the right questions brother and we learned a lot! I enjoyed the tour of AMI, and like Aaron I especially enjoyed the fitting and welding section of the tour! Pretty cool Mike, thanks from Kirk and Louisana! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👌🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Canadian tech at its best! 🇨🇦 You guys were so close to my place, you coulda stopped in for a Pepsi! We’ve got plenty of room. Open invitation for your next trip up this way. Thanks for sharing DP!
Nice company. I have been in the MGF biz for 30 yrs and have been in 100's of plants and feel like I can spot one that is not managed well pretty quickly. That is not the case with AMI. You can tell a lot about a plant by how neat, orderly and clean the shop is. Very nice product flow. Steel if the front door and product going out the back door Well done AMI.
First thing that comes to my mind hearing the name AMI. Chris ld18 had a leak cylinder on his bucket... (now wonder with his burning piles) . Reported on Wednesday afternoon and it was there on Friday Morning under warranty. Just now they also sent him a replacement for his rock grader. Seems like a nice company, with great customer service.
Awesome facility! It's hard to believe that much detail and precision is put into an attachment. When is the Dirt Perfect bucket coming out? Thanks for taking us along DP!!!
6/5/23; ...AMI factory tour..✅️⚙️🔧👍👏🤷🙂 Thx for taking us along, very impressive..kinda parallels aircraft mfg & multiple layers of QA & Certification..re: that Hardox & Strength steel 'inside' decals which confirms (via testing/inspection during mfg) to receive these certification stickers. Great video showing super quality of these AMI products & inventory of parts if repair/replacement- if ever- is needed.👍
Love tours like this. Thanks to AMI for letting you take us along to see how things get done

That is an incredible facility. I’m even more impressed with their build quality than I was before!
AMI. That's a name I will not forget! Thanks Mike!
