Ugh!. The vehicles look good, and I want to know more. Unfortunately, the script is filled with witty comments instead of useful information. Try the same video, but include details such as range, amp-hours, weight capacity, length, width, height. It would be good to know if the battery is removable, and how to charge it.
Unfortunately, it also collected a bunch of brands that have already shut down long before they made the video. I think the Veemo and the Hopper might be the only ones likely to actually be available. Apparently, these channels just scrape the content and data, but don't actually research whether the company still exists.
Add to all that where can we buy 1 in the "USA"... i bet we better have that conversation w Elon Musk.. but until then im so supportive..Europe is far more advanced on going "Green" to save our planet...NO punn intended to anyone that is making these efforts come about....Here we have alot of issues with Insurances..not just car..but with whats happening in the climate change..I say "The sun is free & its about the only thing if not the only thing, that the world has equal rights to...." we would all be smart by considering this and our future generations to come......worldly peace to all....lets save our planet and stop wars over resources...peace!
Same. It's constant disappointment when these channels just cobble together stock footage of a bunch of velomobiles, knowingly padding it out with ones where the company has already disappeared. It's really dishonest. As far as I can tell, Frikar and Veemo are the only ones you MIGHT be able to see IRL...someday. They haven't disappeared yet.
It all comes down to if you can get support, help with maintenance and spare parts for a long time after you buy one. I still hope velombiles can take over the world one day. There are lots of it already, but it would be awesome if there would be as many as cars. They just look cooler and are awesome to drive in my opinion 😊
I liked best the CykelTaxi, the Virtue Pedalist and the VokBike, but appreciated also the (pendolino-train-like) leaning mechanism of the last French product, the Wello e-Trike. They were the most innovative practical/useful designs, in my view.
Bio-Hybrid is insolvent since a very long time (2021) But I guess this video should not be a historical review but a actual status! Therefore forget Bio-Hybrid!
It's funny because the solutions are reminiscent of the earliest vintage cars and bicycles. But I'm not chuckling too hard because at the moment I see electric bicycles and velomobiles etc as much more viable alternatives to motorcycles and petrol cars than are the electric cars currently available in Europe and the US. If we can't have a good range and speed at an affordable price it's better (for many of us) to have electric assisted pedal power for local trips, as a second car for instance, and wipe out most of the running costs of a huge petrol or electric monster. In some cases we could rent the real car on a day by day basis, or participate in a carshare. There are even a few electric velomobiles which are incredibly cheap. Considering that some models are quite long, this gives me hope that musicians and sportspersons will be able to carry their gear in velomobiles eventually, but more thought has to be put into this because gear is not always cube shaped. Stage pianos? Double basses? Surfboards? Designers, please try to accommodate our gear!
Having moved to a village with tiny zigzag streets which ascend steeply, two new priorities are on my mind: hill ascencion in an elec assist velomobile, and turning radius. Can we have some data?
I have an ebike with a Veltop upright bike attachment that I further modified and it is very similar to this. I later added a lower lexan front shield so that my legs, shoes and waist wouldn't get wet and it works great even in heavy rainstorms without me the rider getting wet at all during rides. Veltop (the company from France) has inexpensive attachments for both upright bikes, recumbent bikes and recumbent trikes too .
What do they cost? As much as used cars? What is the environmental impact of lithium batteries? What is the range and speed of the velos? How often and what is the replacement cost of the batteries?

These are used by Canadians and in Maine. There is a season for motorcycles and bikes which is longer when you have sheltered cockpit. Charging is mostly done at night while you are home so you are too negative. We all have to do our part or nobody survives.
You should have been smart enough to stay home. We have no right to squander resources by using them to power through nature. That is stealing from future generations. If you are where it gets -40 you should hole up for the winter like we used to.
Fibreglass takes time to cure, and can be flimsy, so it needs supports. So these things make them more expensive. Carbon fibre is stronger and lighter, but a lot more expensive. But think about it… ONE cost, and about $100 per year for maintenance. Then you have it forever. If you sell down the road, they often sell for 75% of the initial sale cost.
The Pebl by Better Bike shouldn't have been added to this list, the company took full payments for the new line back in 2022, a year later in 2023 they still weren't actually producing the bikes people ordered and to this day there's no new news about them but the website is still up so people may lose money trying to buy one that they're never gonna get
Same as with any other bike or car. You lock it and remove the key. These can be chained to a post or bike rack too. At 170 pounds, and very large, it is hard to steal and conceal. Theft has not been a serious problem. Some people need to move away from their high crime areas.
Shut down and sold out to Germany, which has done nothing with the design. It was at least 50 pounds too heavy to be practical. Full enclosure was a mistake.
False - most lithium comes from evaporation ponds. And it is fully recyclable. Recycled lithium actually performs better. The US is now down to 30% coal power sources and that will drop more.
Hi werte Kollegen!! Was ich nicht akzeptiere ,ich will elektrisch ca.80 km weit fahren !!! Wenn ich weiter will sehe ich ein zu treten!! Aber grundsätzlich nur als Notbehelf !!! Probably a good rain coat is enough for most places. We are not made of sugar, a bit of rain won't hurt us.

In the USA only bike cars with two or three wheels are legal. I like the Frikar Podbike but it's not for sale in the USA.
They need to have this in Ohio.this would be great around town. If they can get it to go 45 mph we can take it to work
There are velomobiles that go that fast, like the Milan. Just not these.
Ist Biohybrid auferstanden???
The better bike or pebl
Obsolete. And they were tragically over weight, meaning underpowered. Only people who did not understand bike design bought them.

fair enough. i'll try to do better.
I have a HJM Trike. I could make it up to 37 miles without a charge.
How are they green ? Where do you think the electrical company gets their power from?
It’s just people trying to build stuff in their garage’s. Give ‘em a break
Only 30% of US power is from fossil fuels now. That will continue to drop. Your lame excuse holds no water.

At current rates, $10,313 for the Frikar. Expected delivery 2025? Doesn't seem practical to the masses with inflation the way it is now.

recumbent position is considered a low impact position and since you are in a sitting position, your wrists are not as affected

E-bike repair shops help those with no mechanical skills.
You have to mine and tear up the Earth to get lithium for batteries and you have to have some combustion somewhere to charge batteries....
