Once they get the battery technology down( if it ever happens) there is a future for short range usage. Mini EVs with removable batteries I believe is safer than larger battery packs with high voltage capacity.with thermal runaway on these big EVs is costly and expensive. They get the mini EVs under $10,000 it can do well in the US.
Funny how the price for petrol, diesel, electric and gas goes up within 24 hours. But then takes months, if at all it does, to come back down when the cost of production drops.
Doubt it, many of these are CGI renderings so, they are just concepts possibly in the works, US manufacturers will always find ways to restrict or tax to hell anything that will compete with their 40-80000 dollar offerings. Anyway the ones in this video that look interesting for the US market are, Fox eMobility, Halon Mover, and Vinfast (bronco looking thing), most of the others really fall under "micro" car category with limited use, for example meter maids, parking lot security, business lot patrol, or on farms.
Sadly all of these are way too expensive, too costly to make. The innovation met the capitalist reality. Everyone adores them but no one buys them and you see them only when TH-camr influencers use them.
I live in a busy city and drive 8 miles each way every day. Would love one of these. Especially the one with removable doors for the summer. Can't wait!!
Where I live we have something called "Winter". Driving one of these in ten inches of snow with no heat? Pass. We also have something called "Summer". Driving a fishbowl with no AC when it's 90 degrees and 100 percent humidity? Also pass.

so, so may micro EVs, none of which are affordable enough for anyone to be like 'wow, I should get one', it's the total part count that makes them expensive, basically it's a no-win category.
We are just waiting for our Fiat Topolino, by far the cutest of all the quad cycle. They may not use gas as you call it, but they still use energy to charge. The amount of natural resources used to create these cars are smaller but still being used. Until a truly free to run car, hydrogen, then it will always use resources.
Several of the shown are materially available at market. The israeli transformer in its V2 since `21. If the video did not make that clear for you, you can google. about a third of the vehicles shown can be materially bought, although many dont get "street legal" in western markets. Many do though
They could be made in America if the government would allow it. The government opposes these because it would harm the entrenched Auto industry which makes nothing but larger vehicles at much larger prices. It's time to roll back the restrictions on nev s In highway capable versions of the same.
Love it, I would love to have one but living in California here in the Bay Area with the crime and cops who don't know the laws it will be hard to drive it anywhere without getting pulled over every time they see you 😊 and you better not have a driving record or a criminal record 😢 because they will tow it away, especially here in Oakland, and you might have a hard time getting it back from the pound plus you might have to pay a arm and a leg for it 😊 hate to say that 🤗 and I don't like saying that word, but its so TRUE you might have to wait 10 years from now for the state and the DMV to approve such vehicles and allow people to purchase them...! But I definitely want one especially the last one 😁......!
With the exception of the M-EV, which is sold under many different names by its Chinese manufacturer, none of the presented vehicles is available. Most of them won´t make it into the market.
What about crash safety regulations? Are there really no crash tests for such micro-machines? And how are they certified for production and operation in this aspect? China, okay, but how is such a car-coffin allowed in security-obsessed Europe? After all, God forbid, for example, if such a truck hits a car, it will fly away somersaulting or on its side! This is not to mention a simple fairly strong blow from the front or side... Can someone enlighten me on this issue?
And if it was available in America.. 3x the price of a tesla and no way to charge outside on the road. Cause it's not compatible with charge stations 😢😢
I like the Silence S04, and how that batter can just come out like a rolling case in order to charge it up at home, perhaps with permission of course at (work).

It is high time Companies such as Maruti -Suzuki India Limited,Tata Motors Limited,Hyundai Motors Limited,Mercedes-Benz India Limited,VolkswagenMotors Limited,Ashok Leyland Limited,FIAT -Chrysler Limited have to introduce such types of cars in India.India has a cast potential market for such types of micro abd mini electric cars.
WOW, a lot of these would work perfectly with my concept of the perfect flying car. OK, so 99 % of cars have 1 person in them.... a "snap on snap off" 1-person lite weight EXISTING micro electric car with a separate top fitting powerful snap on/off drone could work today. When you get close to where you fly into you can snap off the micro car and drive to where you need to go. You own the micro car but the expensive drone is rented and arrives from the drone port ready to go. This would keep the cost low and always have a fully charged snap on drone ready to go. Lots of Drone Ports (Think the new gas station) everywhere storing drones ready to go. On a long trip you just stop at a drone port and switch out the drone for one fully charged. 99% of people could afford this! Keep it simple...... use what we have.... Once perfected this will totally disrupter old fashion expensive cars, clogging up highways and save environment at same time. Let’s snap one of these micro cars to a powerful drone (like Volvocopter 18 blade super structure} and make it work for everyone. AI CONTROLS WITH GPS SHOULD MAKE THIS AN AUTONOMOUS PILOT FROM POINT A TO B...... JUST TELL ALEXIS WHERE YOU WANT TO GO........ Then the whole trillion-dollar highway infrastructure budget can now be used to bulldoze down slums and build quality affordable homes with a drone port on the roof….! WOW….! WE NEED TO THINK SMALL INORDER TO GO BIG! I think this is totally feasible right now for under $20,000 plus monthly drone rental fees? A lot better than $250,000 plus which no one can afford like the X2, Pop Up and the Airbus fly cars now being built. Please make a basic model for everyone. Partner with drone mfg. and get er done.....! CITY TRANSFORMER CT, MEV CITY, SQUAD CITY, SILENCE WESTWAR MAX LSV, PAXSTER, ZERO MAX could all work with a snap on drone….?!?!?!?!
yes, in Norway they accept this. Only charge to 80% as well. On average, about 30% loss of capacity. Even lead acid batteries don't like the cold.@@danbunge9787

This is what electric cars should be. Small, efficient, and personal.
agreed
mini EV should be the way to go, most people don't need a big car. majority of the time we only need a commuter
Some of these are fairly practical and very usable in some situations, others are simply insane!
That's too bad. I would've gotten that bus.
Removable battery makes so much sense.. you can charge at a friends house while visiting them or in your office.

$5/gallon or $0.20/kwh. You decide.
I'm paying AU$0.08/kWh. Yes, just 8cents per kWh on a Night time EV plan. Not quite an all time high is it.
There are many excuses to do nothing. One great excuse to make the change...long-term survival of life on the planet.

Do I always have to be reminded that small cars can fit in small spaces, and that many kinds of people need vehicles?
I want something powered by a Briggs & Stratton that is street legal.
How do these mini vehicles manage very steep hills or rough hilly terrain?
It’s city vehicle… so doubt it can do that.
Depends on weight and which mini EV

True. Solar panels just need a lot more surface area though
But how much do they cost... this is the be all and end all, cost.
Super small vehicles are not popular in the US. I would love to get one. The Vinfast is probably the smallest I would go.
looking forward to see vinfast vf3 . If they can provide only the basic and drop the price to say $ 17K , that will be fantastic.
