As an industrial designer… I have seen WAY too many hubless rims which are the most impractical wheel and will NEVER be a realistic solution. I also designed a human powered 3 wheeled tadpole human-hybrid-powered vehicle concept as a University project and build my own bikes (wheels and all)… but that was just a concept study. Most of these concepts we see pretend to be the “future of” and claim “sustainable”, but never take into consideration real world use case and the designers have little to no experience with bikes or vehicles. I’d take all of these with a grain of salt.
I'm actually getting tired of hearing about velomobiles "that will appear in the near future." I'm still hoping for ONE to make it much further than the prototype stage. There have been dozens that look great in the promotional videos, then they make 0-100 of them before closing shop. A little research would have shown you that some of these (like the Snap and Cyclospace) are already dead.
Is there ANYONE who can think of and make a decent modern design? All I see here are aesthetically horrible designs, that look like toys made by children (whatever I find, I use). I know that many will not like my comment, but ......the truth will set you free.
I like number 6 the midipile mobility cause its like some of the others i looked into thats designed for abit of cargo ability and all weather condition usability like im trying to build myself but im also designing similar more of a micro car using a riding mower for power
No need for practical transport vehicles. They need to be substainable, carbon free but there's no aim to fullfill it's actual job. Ideology dictates downfall. I however like these mobiles. For fun use.
We need these new designs for two seat in the U.S. with 3500watt motor with 48 mph and to use in secondary roads so you don’t become a target on the road. Give it 150 miles to a charge for long distance.on full throttle .Make it affordable.😊
5:28 "Designed for unemployed and street-employed people" Again with the fallacy that bikes are for the poor lol. The mayor of Bogota once said that "a developed country is not a place where the poor have cars but where the rich use public transportation". The same applies to bikes. We're not going to make people switch to these vehicles if they're a miserable experience that makes them look like they're struggling with their finances.
Some well-known, some curious and some interesting concepts. In my view, no 2 and 3 were best for personal mobility. With such minimalistic trikes and 'quikes', the versatility of these vehicles is greatly reduced. There is a limit, you cannot bring home your newly bought washing machine with this. Assisting motor is recommendable. Some are outright ugly! But some are stylish, some are funny ... ! 😊😊 I like this vid! 👍
Greetings and Salutations #velomobile means add bulky to the entire thing. These currently viewing of velomobile has a gear box look to them Great upload thanks 😊
At the CES 2024 KOTRA Korea Pavilion, the actual hubless electric bicycle has a very unique, future-oriented design and a particularly unique driving method. Expectations are high for the Top Secret V1, a concept hubless velomobile three-wheeled electric bicycle created by Daewon J&B in Korea
It's beautiful and exactly the concept I've been sketching for years, but somebody needs to bring the cost down to about $3,000 dollars before it's a viable mass market item.
I’ve seriously wanted a velo for years, but the price is WAY outside my limits. Someone should manufacture shells for owners who already own a tadpole or trike.
Actually, there is a kit available, that will convert specific tadpole recumbent models to Velomobile status, at a fraction of the cost of what's on the market. Google "Aero Bullet", and videos might still be available on YT to show how it works. I'm looking to convert my Catrike Expedition in the not-too-distant future.
Man, the future looks very bright for motorized urban transportation. These will dramatically reduce automobile related injuries to pedestrians and deaths to drivers and passengers. most of the designs are AMERICAN made too 👍
@@nonegone7170 Maybe, buy I would venture to say that americans in general are lazy and want their teslas cramming the roadways. For me, the idea of "local" commuting is exciting on provisional lanes made for them

You Expose all concepts that I try to development and implement in nokler.

The models that expressly benefit from pairing with human power have my interest.
👋All velomobiles are very good and very different, thank you for informing us about these new vehicles.
China leaving the bicycle era behind, the West entering it. Still cool but it's to adapt to the coming poverty.
The affordability factor is always important to 87% of us.
Id love to watch this but im done with AI generated content
Over time I have seen too many fancy concepts. I really am only interested in real velomobiles.
1:15 .... 😂.......🤢 Be serious come on..

3:45 is really nice, the more beautifull i ever seen in that type of véhicule 👍
Even if he never can go in real traffic

The people in the cars look like fishes in aquarium No interactive with surrounding
Its for city in winter.... An in your car you interact with what ? You can have charge in a velomobile, you can't have on a bike.
Velomobile are the future in the Towntraffic !
I believe you are right
Never ever.
100 years people try...
Nope. Big expensive SUV's are or do you expect trophy wives to pedal and sweat? Dreamer.
Dangerous ,a truck passing by is gona smash you ....

The Topsecret is a very attractive design, but I can't see the hubless systems being practical or reliable
Try using a human for narration, it might be bearable to listen to then.
range up to 35miles on pedal power. Does the Person peddeling get tired or what?
They had a moped in the US with an enclosure around it in the 70s but it soon disappeared due to regulations

What?
Velomobiles are the most un-american vehicle to ever exist according to most americans...

cool
Nearly all these VELOMOBILES look like Amish buggies. Not very "futuristic." 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
