  • First run in central Texas. Dense vegetation and rain. The perception system is able to correctly predict the traversability of the various types of vegetation encountered on this run without access to any prior maps or data.
    Overland AI's software stack uses only onboard sensors and compute to find it's way through the terrain. In a heavily vegetated environment like this one, the perception system must understand which trees are crushable and which are not. Without prior maps, the system searches through the environment, driving like a human, until the next waypoint is achieved. (An intermediate waypoint is hit at approximately 1:47).
