  • In this mission, the robot needs to make it to a point on high ground, using both trails and cross-country navigation. At 2:15, the robot makes a left turn up a steep hill but finds the path blocked. After determining that it cannot proceed along this path, it backs itself down the steep hill and finds another way around. At 5:30, the robot attempts to pass through bushes but then backs out to find another clear path through. At 6:30 the robot encounters an extremely deep erosion ditch in the middle of a trail and effectively controls its speed to safely cross and continue the mission. This all happens fully autonomously and without operator intervention. Ultimately, the robot finds a road to climb the mountain and achieve the observation post.
