5 inch is pretty big lol. After flying micros and 3 inches you get a 5 and it just seems huge. I remember thinking I don't have enough room around the house to fly. But now I rip 5inches everywhere!!!
I think you will have way more fun with a 5" than with a drone this size.

Love this!! Love love big long range quads especially deadcat platforms or “H” style platforms. I don’t really care for “X” frames but they do look nice in large scale. Great video. I’m just waiting for Iflight to make a 10” Chimera and then I will have reached heaven. I already ordered the 10” Recon so I’m just waiting on it. I’m hoping to get a hold of Crocodile 10” but that’s just thinking outside the box. Love the big boy quads. Keep the big FPV quad videos coming. Thanks Justin.👍👍👍💯💯💯🙂

I started with 10” drones several years back. Good for long flights. But for me, 5” is the sweet spot.
Yeah $50 for a motor is crazy. And the batteries are outrageous.

I built an i flight 10” true X 4 years ago love it matek/zing/tmotor/vista pro/R9 the sound and power is unbelievable I found bi props work best for free styling flights Thx Justin for another good video.

@@TheDroneDoctor I have the PWM @ 40 and the motor timing @ 16. For some reasons it’s real picky with the props to get really good performance but I love it. The sound is amazing super fast to little nerve-racking so I don’t fly it too much.

IFlight needs to update their photos of this beast. I passed on it because the arms looked thin. But seeing it, that is a quality quad and build. Not a bad price point either.

No ! A 10in. We where just talking about 7in and just finished my 7in quad and now I have to build a 10in. LOL. I am impressed with the price, now that 5in quads are the same price. Thanks for the video and information about this quad.
Nice presentation. I'v been flying 11" custom quad's for about three years now. No going back for me. IMHO though needs to run Ardupilot on the FC. Do up to 25 mile run's with mine regularly on 6S2P (10'000mAh) pack's. Have fun with that beast.

Excellent and Thorough review. Yes, this big boy loves to be Freestyled W/03 Air Unit to cut weight of my GoPro That’s mainly what I do with it using 2200mah 6s RCHackers in parallel.
Yes it’s the most fun I’ve flown and it actually felt safer to fly than my CMW Macromerica. I tell people the tune alone is worth an additional $100, you can’t tune this the way Iflight did…I tried! lol😂

Just to help out the viewers. I’m sure the quad got held up in customs for some reason. But as soon as iFlight had mine in from back order, I received it at my doorstep in 2 weeks. Just get this thing
Props are quite prominent in FPV feed, you didn't tell if it's also there in gopro, but probbably is since you had some heavy cine borders ;)

Thank you for the video! Some times I could see the props in the screen and for content creators this is not an advantage. Is it possible to modify the shape of the base or does exist other types of large drones where the prop can't disturb you scene? Thx again! Have a great time!
You don’t need to modify it. Just your GoPro settings. I had mine on Superview which makes them show. Change to Wide Mode.

Coming from 20 years of rc helicopters the xl just needs blade balancing if there is vibration. Awesome review just ordered one! Thanks!

ok Im a complete noob . dont have an FPV currently just doing research before I get one but my question is do I absolutely need DJI goggles and controler if I use a Nazgul prebuilt fpv with the 03 fpv system or is it syncable with radiomaster controller or other options . im not looking for the 10 inch for sure im more into the 5 or 6 inch but it has the 03 system just trying to figure out compatibility

How much out of Curiosity? Lol. This 10” is VERY EASY to fly IMO. Super smooth even for freestyle

is it suitable for carrying a camera weighing 1.4 kilograms? Not for videos, for photos.
Is interesting but my favorite remain 3 inch toothpick and whoops. They have cheaper battery, lighter and safe and crush resistant. And they are accepted easier by authorities.
I started FPV with a 9 inch DJI phantom clone and was too big and heavy.
To each his own they say 🤙🏼 I love a good toothpick session
I've had the dc10 for over a year, she flies good but it's not the best so she's been hanging on the wall for awhile....have you posted the tune on this? It flies alot better than mine.

Comming from a time where 10 inch was Standard and if you wanted more flight time you would go with 15 inches. Actually i flew with 17 inch 320kv motors.

Is there any regulations, training requirements, age limits involved when a drone gets to a certain size? The liability would concern me honestly?
Don't quote me, but just off the top of my head, I think the next class is 55lbs. So that's 0grams to 249grams. And then, 250grams to 55pounds. Anything over 250grams, is supposed to be registered, and I believe the same goes for all the way up to 54lbs. Take it seriously, if it's 400grams, or if it's 3kilograms. We are pilots.

Thanks for the feedback. When I first saw JT with the 7", the video was as close as you could get to the view from a glider. Plus the size does matter this isn't something you really want to fly near anyone. I'm hooked!
@@gregm9638 I'm putting together a 10" payload carrier for some mountain footage, hopefully flying it next year, for the solar eclipse in the Spring. Not a lot of time for testing, so to get it completely dialed in, and 100% trustworthy, and on top of that get it to a place where I can film the eclipse, without people being too close to my flight path, is going to take some luck. But I'll try. And even if I can't get it all together, for the eclipse, I can't wait to see what the rest of the fpv community gets for footage of the 2024 solar eclipse, it's going to be beautiful!

Can these drones be programed to fly on 3 props if one motor/prop is no longer functional? My DJ'I lost one prop (hit the prop protector I think) and fell from about 160 feet. Repair was attempted to no avail. There is a Ukrainian drone company that claims they can fly if one of four is lost.

While it would be awesome I would advise being really careful with that incase something goes wrong and it turns into a glorified hamster blender. Like those videos of farmers flying their kids around with spraying drones is really dangerous.

errr.....My first drone in 2014 is 10 inch with ardupilot APM FC 1.6kg with gimbal gopro, I build a big 15 inch and 5 inch is consider tiny drone, in 2022 5 inch is a standard and now we back to 10 inch again? what ?..

I don’t know man, there’s 2 things that make me think differently.
1.) the FAA is cracking down on the fpv hobby.
2.) I already hit stuff fairly hard with my 5” and 6”. I would for sure destroy stuff with a 10” lol.
