Ok, I'm going to be really honest here. I was the first to receive Helion and flagged the LED shorting issue against the FC, hence the taping fix and then the new LEDs. I will say, right from the get go, that I absolutely love this quad, despite its bad press on some forums. Many of us have provided valuable feed-back to the passionate team at 2Raw and iFlight and changes have been made.for he better. Josh and the team at 2Raw continue to provide updates so Helion matches Betaflight releases. Mike, your flight tines -- 15-30 mins on that sized lipo is BS. That may be so for a Li-ion pack, but not a lipo. I fly Helion with a 6,000mAh lipo, and I push speed. If I get 8-10 mins max that's a good flight. Regardless, I always love your passion for what we do, and I'm pleased you like Helion. 🙏❤
You should use a li-ion pack if you are really trying to do LR. a 6s2p pack will get you much longer flight times than a lipo, from 20>30 mins. samsung have 21700 5000mah 35A cells. I think 10inch is much better suited for these packs as my 7" really falls outside it's efficiency window while weighting 1.2KG, i struggle to get more than 30mins of cruising. When you do your LR test please take a similar 7inch drone to compare and do a head to head., that would be really useful for people considering which size frame to get.
Ive gotten 20+min with a 5200mah 6s lipo on my 10in... its more flying conditions than anything. LIon are not as good for high amp draw, so if you have to fly into the wind you may not get any better flight times.

Good review and nice to see some channels reviewing. I bought a helion and have been enjoying it so far. Have seen the jello and it’s definitely more shaky cruising compared to my chimera 7. What’s your thoughts on the 55amp esc in such a big quad? One of the flights I did was a heavy headwind coming back and was having to push it hard. Was seeing 55-60amps and was starting to worry about popping the esc
I just got my first long range 7” but now I have another issue, where can I fly? I live in Northern part of GA and here are zero places to fly long range. At least legally, WMA, state Parks are off limits.

Isn't 55amp esc means 55amp continuous for each motor? Also what you are seeing with amp meter on OSD is the total amp draw I believe

It is per motor. Otherwise 5inch race drones pulling 140 amps with 35 amps escs would all be fried.
