Great review Mark & Carlos! I was a bit weary at first due to the lengthy format, but was pleasantly surprised when I made it through the entire video quite happily. The segments flowed well and combining them into one review (as opposed to previous videos which were cut for each segment) proved to work out really well. I think the only constructive criticism would be the chemistry. You guys are both great reviewers, but I felt there wasn't a whole lot of connection/banter that I think would add to the review. However it seems as though Edmunds is making great strides so I definitely look forward to upcoming content!

Great video guys. Talking about most of the hot points on this SUV. The CX-9 has raised its game considerably with this new edition

Seriously, love the format of this video. The casual comments, the conversation, this is the kind of things I'd go into with passengers in my car. More of this, please!

Just picked up a CX9 touring premium and it’s funny Carlos mentioned at 13:20 people asking if it’s an Infiniti, my father asked me that same question. Have to say I’m real happy with this purchase, Mazda has done great job with this model!

    Hey, great film. Seriously.
Just watched the F-Pace and CX-9 Edmunds reviews back-to-back and have to say that everybody is going to have to compete with Mazda's CX-9. Motoman's coverage piqued my interest and I loved hearing directly from the design talent, but I am in no hurry and wanted to see what the F-Pace was about.
The audio person deserves kudos because when Carlos and Mark started talking in the interior the acoustics reminded me of my old LS400, which is a totally good thing and requires serious engineering to deliver (on both sides of the mic). DeMuro's Range Rover doesn't LS400.
    Anyway, enjoyable film.

Nice review. Curious though, did you guys produce this over a year ago and just remembered to upload it this week?

Please do more videos like this. Not 1 minute crap. It's okay to produce not so good videos but don't produce hateful videos.

Would you suggest the fully loaded santa Fe 3 row or the touring trim mazda cx9?

    • @edmundscars
      @edmundscars  7 ปีที่แล้ว

It depends on what you prioritize in the vehicle. CX-9 has better MPG, but Hyundai has more years of warranty coverage standard. CX-9 also has a bit more cargo room and some new standard safety features, but the Santa Fe will have a more comfortable ride for the third-row seaters. Again, this is a bit of a toss up, but your decision can be swayed with these differences depending on what is most important to you!

Edmunds thanks for your input. Quite a few people have complained about the cx9 having a weak AC or not being able to cool the car faster enough when it's hot outside. Did you'll notice the same? Also that when it's hot the turbo doesn't work as well and the car is a little less power

Daryl Chang, why compare a fully loaded Sante Fe ($43K) to a low trim of the CX-9 ($36K)? Might as well compare it to the CX-9 GT or Signature.

What, an Edmunds video longer than 2 minutes!
I disagree on the sportily inclined. Sometime you are just stuck with family car duty when you'd prefer 500hp. While I think it's great if you are stuck with family duty, hauling kids and stuff a mini-van ends up being much better.

one thing I never seen anyone talk about is the leg room in the driver's position. I went to test drive the car and the leg room is not that roomy, plus the fact that I was told it would cost $568 a month for the signature model. It's a great looking vehicle and the ride is great but for that money and just alittle more $ you can get a true luxury vehicle ( audi, Jaguar, etc..)

Two people reviewing a car - not a good idea. We see a lot more the reviewers that the car itself.

Carlos, why are you paired up with these amateur co-host guys? You need to go solo. Its awkward to see you play nice with this swampy dude.

Why are the hosts not coordinating their talking points? One says something, then the other goes to make a completely different point. It just looks like amateur job!
