It’s great! Lighter so better mpg and performance. Plus the increased sidewall is nice for ride comfort. Michelin PS 4s have worked well on the track too! Just gotta make sure tire pressure is set right
I love the look. I had a 14 Focus ST in the goldish yellow, color was called tangerine scream lol, I had the exact same wheel setup on it, looked great. I’m thinking of getting a new WRX and I do believe I’ll be doing the same wheel setup again, for tires though, I really like the Falken RT615k+, it’s a ridiculous tire
I ran the Jb4 over a year compared to my current Protune my ethanol map was significantly faster then the OTS map just as fast as my 93 protune. Ethanol protune is about 50whp more. I still strongly recommend the JB4
I'd like the details on the wheel/tire and suspension set-up. I like the idea of downsizing the wheels to get some more chunkier tires in there without rubbing. Looks great by the way!
Aside from the god-awful screen, most of my qualms with this car would've likely been remedied with an STI trim. I have a Limited 6-speed and I wish it just had that extra "spice" that an STI would've brought along (wing, brakes, STI transmission, little bit more pizazz in the form of styling, etc.). Overall it's such an improvement over the previous gen WRXs that I can't really fault Subaru too much for what we got. EDIT: Just realized your screen doesn't have the latest firmware update. Dealership should be able to do it (or you can find the files online and do it yourself with a USB). It improved my disconnect problems a bit but the horrible lag and intermittent audio clipping problems are still present. Heated seat controls are also one-touch and out of the menus now.
It’s better than I expected honestly! I was a little hesitant at first cuz I usually do Invidia or ETS, but I actually like the Touring A LOT. The AWE does require some careful attention to detail when fitting the pipes together (as any good product would I suppose) but the fitment is great, and the look and sound are top notch.
@@WIDEBODYNATION yup. Most cars that are compared to the new WRX are way more pricey. If you spend just half the difference of price on mods those cars will get smoked.
@@chrischarles9218 I do agree that the car is a good value for $ especially at the premium trim level. My car sticker was about $33k when your average car is selling for around $50k which is just crazy especially with current interest rates
That doesn’t look to be the most up to date UI on your infotainment. The latest firmware has a silver finish down on the HVAC controls. Having said that - still buggy 😒
Most of the intake available for the WRX recommend a tune both for better performance and reliability. Personally, my car has been fine with the ETS intake but I’ve also ran the JB4 tunes for most of the time the ETS intake has been on there. So, best thing to do for intake performance get a turn, best thing to do for warranty is not getting a tune assuming you’d be using an Accessport. JB4 shouldn’t void warranty in my opinion as long as you remove it before bringing to dealership. You’ll be fine with a Cat-Back exhaust in my opinion.
@@rayplaysgames_RPG the cat back will defiantly help with sound. The intakes do really help make the cool wooshie turbine/turbo sounds though. The warranty risk is what you’re gonna have to decide on as far as intake and tune.
Some people are tuning them at e70-85 range but the JB4 doesn’t support pure ethanol tunes. I get to e30-35 by doing roughly 1 gallon or e85 (usually tests around e75 from the pump) mixed with 2 gallons of 93 premium. So a 1:2 ratio usually lands me in the E30 range. So if I’m filling up 15 gallons I do 6 gallons pump e85 and 9 gallons pump 93
Love your tires and wheels .... How does it feel the drive with it?

I think you should put on a F1 Brake light. Love those brake lights :D
Good idea!
Amsoil signature series here as well

@@WIDEBODYNATIONmy guy! Thank you
Did you have to remove the sleeve on your ets
The intake sleeve is still on

Great video thanks, what did you do to get your IAT delta so low?
I just have the ETS intake with the air box and the JB4 to monitor it
@@WIDEBODYNATION I see thanks for the info
How’s the awe catback holding up? Any leaks or problems? I’m right on the cusp of ordering

I'm thinking about going 17s for the extra meat on the tire. If you think about the price you pay its a killer deal.
I like how the car rides way better on 17s with good sidewall. And price for what? The WRX?
