Your parents are just lovely. You will never regret a single day traveling with them. Time time flies, and they are not with is. Just enjoy this time together as a family! It is precious!
After finishing the video in full, there is nothing to indicate that this was a “lux” experience for the price point. For $14k USD, you should not have to pay for any extra add ons at all.
Obviously never been on a cruise 😂 everything is extra. Been on Virgin myself, and it was amazing. Only thing you pay for is alcohol and excursions. Even with the alcohol, they run a 'free' bar credit of $600 most of the time anyway
A serious marketing blunder here, awful experience given the cost. Truly moronic to ask for extras from someone who has already paid top prices. No idea why this is even top quality, having been on many Cunard cruises this doesn't appear to come close on any level .
I came here for the luxury travel videos, but stayed for the family content. It's so heart warming to watch you include your loved ones in your travels and spend some quality time with them. Wishing you a Happy New Year :)
I have a small group of TH-cam channels that I follow, including this one (of course!) I’ve just commented on another channel - it amazes me the high standard of content that is produced and edited by one person for whom this is often not their main job. Give me this over what the likes of the BBC and ITV churn out any day
Agreed! I do think this is his job now, but I appreciate the quality as there are so many other channels that aren’t as good but have similar (ish) success.
That’s quite possible, yes - either way I think it’s fair to say he’s not in an office job! ….but a lot of the other channels I watch share that they have full-time jobs and it amazes me how they do it
My Mom and I always travelled on HAL. She used a walker and everyone watched out for her and were so kind. We did Alaska, Hawaii (3) times, Bahamas and Mexico. Loved them all.
@trektrendy, I am so thrilled you include your parents with you on your trip to Alaska! I cannot think of a better way to celebrate and honor your parents. I lost both my parents far too soon (2017 for mom, 2021 for dad) so cherish these special moments (which I know you do). Great video!
I spent 21 nights with Holland America mid December, as part of my plan to spend 10 months last year living on cruise ships (as a passenger). Their cruise product is just so beautiful - the onboard experience is excellent. The key difference in our cruise experience is that I was in an inside cabin down on Deck 1 - much more basic than your experience here, but I really enjoyed it!
I love that with your success you’re able to treat your parents to a luxurious holiday. What a way to pay them back for bringing you up. Well done to you all!👏👏😄
Your videos are the best way to start 2024! It's so sweet how you travel with your parents and give your parents the nicer room (just like how you gave your dad the nicer bed on your train trip). What an amazing trip and amenities!
Your videos are some of my all time favourites to watch, as a student, you’re allowing me to live through your videos and content, and I couldn’t be more grateful!! I hope your 2024 is amazing!! Thank you so much for showing us all of your trips :)
My friend, you convinced me to book this cruise. Did it last night. Booked for my birthday in May this year. Pinnacle suite was sold out, so I chose the Neptune suite. Thank you for your videos. I hope to see you get to 1 million subscribers in 2024!!!
Another excellent video. At a time where luxury travel like this is unlikely for most, it's enjoyable to watch from the comfort of a living room. It's great to see you sharing these experiences with your parents Will!
Very nice to watch. BTW, I noticed your suite is called "Willem Barentz". It is named after the Dutch explorer that after making an atlas of the Mediterranean went on to try to find a Northern route to Asia. This lead him and his crew to Nova Zembla etc. Mind you this was around 1594 and onwards, so different conditions to be sure 🙂
I've been on many cruises, but Holland America was hands down the best. I won a 7 day eastern carribean cruise for two and a charity benefit silent auction. Completely unexpected. What we experienced from end to end was nothing short of amazing. From the rooms, to preparation, food, entertainment, crew/passenger interaction. It was a highlight reel for my life, that's for sure. Only downside, it was mostly older senior citizens, old school blue hairs from New York. They were pretty stuffy and obnoxious.
Will disagree about stuffy New Yorkers unless they are from downstate. We live in real NYS and NOTHING stuffy about us. HAL does trend older but we are seeing a shift.
Both parents!! Gotta love that!! So cool you do this Will and for sure it's expensive...but they are your parents...they should be spoiled once in a while. I offered to take/pay for a trip or two with my Dad and Step-Mom, but sadly they never accepted. My Mom on the other hand...let's GO! Haha. Maybe that's where I get my travel bug? We didn't travel far, but cool trips to Reno, NV and Lake Tahoe were awesome! The Reno trip was paid for by Peppermill Casino...HA! 50 cents in the slot.....BIG WINNER! Loved that one for sure! Bummer Millie couldn't get the time off. She's awesome and adds to your reviews!
Wow, great to see BOTH your parents with you. I found this channel about a year ago when I was stuck in hospital with a busted up leg for 13 days, and watching the catalogue of videos was a godsend for me, as I have always been a traveler for both work and fun. Thumbs up on this vid, a cruise is in the cards for late 2024 for us.
Some humble advice: I think a lot of what people want to see is just more luxury in general not just planes and stuff, and these are a great step in that direction! In the future you can try hotels or other luxury experiences.
So great to see you and your wonderful parents! I love you take them, or one of them on some of your great adventures! Miss seeing Milly on this cruise. Happy New Year to you all! Love your channel.
Can't wait to watch this - your channel is one of the few I watch every new video. Thank you for all your hard work - as a youtuber I know how much work it is! Tell your mom I loved her green dress! Your parents must be so proud of you.
Happy New Year Mr. Trendy! Way to start 2024 with one of your special over-the-top cruise videos! You outdid yourself this time as usual. Too bad Millie couldn’t go but I suspect something special will be coming down the pipeline later this year. Just curious, did you prefer HAL or Royal Caribbean? Seems you weren’t too keen on the HAL food offerings. Looking forward to your next adventure ❤️✈️🎆🥂
Thanks for watching and a happy new year to you :) I did feel quite let down by the inclusive food offering on HAL, but the room was lovely and it was overall better value than a Royal Caribbean cruise. I just wish cruises would stop with the constant upsell aha
@@Trektrendy Just a booking tip for Royal Caribbean: I do believe you were in a loft suite before, and those need to be booked anywhere from a year to a year and a half out to get the best price. I think you paid almost double of what I normally pay for a loft suite.
@@Trektrendy While I fully understand the upsell for "regular" passengers, it's disheartening to see them try it so often with you and your top of the line fares. But as always, thanks for showing the entire picture good and bad.
I absolutely love it when you include your parents on your adventures. Doubly special for us when you all travel together! Happy New Year to you all. Blessings and continued safe travels. :)
Hello and happy new year. I don't expect you'd imagined your videos to be something of a life saver, but for me they have been. Husband and I love to travel but got sidelined recently with medical issues. So while recovery takes place, I find much-need refuge and escape at the end of the day in your videos. They and you are so charming, and I've been thoroughly enjoying my armchair adventures. Till we can travel again, I crack open my mini bottle of champagne from the local grocery store and travel along with you and your family. Thanks!
Looks like a great cruise overall! Not sure I appreciate Holland America's seemingly deliberate strategy to suppress the quality of the buffet food to try and upsell the speciality dining option so much though, even if I can see why they would do it.
I did this cruise and the buffet food was amazing! It was a fam trip with Holland and I saw how everything was cooked. It's a luxury brand they dont need to do that!
@@leonardordel92 Oh that is surprising to hear! I didn't realise Holland America is a luxury cruise line. I thought they were more of a Premium Cruise Line like Cunard. Noted on the food though! Perhaps taste is more individual. Did u try any of the speciality dining options? If so, was it a lot better than the buffet spread?
My thoughts exactly. I don't mind the idea of specialty restaurants where one goes in knowing there will be an upcharge for all the food and the experience as a whole. I find it very distateful that all of the restaurants upcharge for the dishes that most people would prefer to order. For the amount he paid for that cruise, there are many, far more luxurious and entertaining vacation options out there with more world class dining options than one can possibly exhaust.
We just got off the same ship. Very nice and I enjoy my cruise. The food is excellent! We didn’t pay any extras for meals. The dinning room and buffets are excellent. Nothing to complain. We did the Christmas cruise, there are 3 dressy night. The crew performed and sang. Such a great treat! .We did not eat at the specialty dinning coz the dinning room served some fine dinning and yummy dinner. No reason to pay extra. We already booked our next cruise to Norway with Holland America. Holland America balcony room is very nice. Def going for balcony if doing warm weather cruise.
I’ve never commented on one of his videos even though I love to see how the elite travel and eat. The only part of his videos that is normally boring is the food portion which is disappointing because that’s usually my favorite part of cruise videos. I find them boring because he usually chooses the same thing, beef, champagne, caviar and diet soda. It was a pleasant surprise to see him eating something different for a change, bravo! I hope he switches up his choices a bit more often. I also enjoyed seeing what his mom ate as a vegetarian. So I would say this has been one of his better videos. I really enjoyed it.
I have sailed on this line and I totally agree with those comments. My partner ate buffet once in 6 days. I passed. Just as nice in the dining room but served at our table. Sure there aren't 9 bazillion items to choose from, but it's also quieter and much less crowded. An easy trade off decision for us.
Another fantastic video, this time in Alaska! I was lucky enough to spend 2 summers cruising in Alaska, during my 4 years working on Cruise Ships. It still looks beautifully serene, some 30 years later. I’m sorry Millie wasn’t able to join you and your mom & pop. Happy New Year!
I’ll never be able to afford something as luxurious as the cruises and trips that you go on, but it’s nice to see what it looks like. You are a very good son the time that you spent with your parents, you will cherish for the rest of your life and the memories that you’ve given them is wonderful I just lost my father and my mother is 83 and although we don’t go on cruises together, we do spend a lot of time together and I just cherish it. God bless you and your family.
love seeing your mom and dad together! great work as always man! Question: What do you do when your flights/ cruises/ trains end? I've always been curious. It would be neat to see a video about that if you'd consider it
Oh, I try hard not to be envious of others, but the ship, suite, amazing food, helicopter rides, glaciers, a jacuzzi and Alaska itself somewhere I'd love to visit, so while I'm not drooling on the floor with my tongue hanging down out of my mouth, I am just a little bit jealous! I wish one of MY five children would take ME on a luxury cruise one day! It's just lovely to see your mum and dad with you this time, and hopefully, we'll see Millie on a cruise or another adventure somewhere soon! Happy New Year! I want to see you and your family, and I can't wait to see what you'll be bringing us in 2024! Take care now from country NSW Australia.
Wish i could have seen more of the nature, whale watching, glaciers. That is what makes Alaska cruises special. Otherwise, it is yet another big fancy ship.
Another fantastic video as always. Out of curiosity, what kind of special equipment do you use to get some of these shots? Do you use a drone? Do you have to get special permission/access from the ship for a proper vantage point? Perhaps it’s a lot easier than I realize.
I would sign up for this cruise every season! Even though I'm not usually a fan of cruising, I think the Inland Passage is the smoothest option, and I love all the natural wonders along the way. If funds were available, your suite looks fantastic! Thank you once again for taking me along on your terrific journey!
Video editing and video shots are all first rate Will! I've never seen what a Holland America cruise ship looks like inside so you did a nice job of giving a feel of what it is like. Holland America doesn't sail too often from Florida. The video shot of the main theatre stage suggests a much older crowd sails on this ship too. I was sort of surprised the ship wasn't more luxurious though nice to see Caviar and Dom served. Alaska looks amazing. One of these days soon I'll take an Alaskan Cruise!
Loved the vid! But Juneau is pronounced like joo-no. Rhymes with Uno, or like the goddess Juno. I’m actually related to the Juneau it’s named after so wanted to mention :)
Pretty, unpretty, disgusting excess. When people, tens of thousands of us,even in the 'first' world are suffering depravation homelessness and starvation.
Yeah! Trek Trendy video drop on my last holiday before returning to work and it starts out of my hometown of Vancouver, Canada. Walked those very steps Trek Trendy did by Canada Place many, many times.
A couple of thoughts for those considering this trip...... 1. Club Orange (mentioned briefly in the video) was well worth it for us. We were in a balcony cabin, but got lots of nice upgrades, including early embarkation, a special area in the restaurant (much shorter line and upgraded menu) and the ability to have a table to ourselves for dinner. 2. Holland America does some very good enrichment lectures, which are well worth attending. Our cruise director said they are aiming to make themselves the “NPR of the cruising world” i.e. providing lots of good quality content. 3. There are lots of good music venues on board, with a wide variety of musical styles. 4. If considering whether to do a one-way, or an out-and-back (typically from Seattle), then be aware that the requirement that ships accessing an American port must also call at a foreign port. For the out-and-back this means that the final night (before returning to Seattle) is usually spent in Vancouver or Victoria before leaving around midnight for a short hop to Seattle. Nice ports, but the ship is very dead, and the cruise has lost that special feeling of being at sea.
It was great watching father, mother and son together on a magnificient expedition. You are favourite travel TH-camr for obvious reasons. Wish you the best this year for more luxurious and slendid travels.
Oh my gosh! I love traveling vicariously with you on these luxurious trips. So happy to see you brought your parents along for the trip. An Alaskan cruise is on my list. Looking at Holland America, looks like a very nice ship.
Just a heads up for those of you that might be taking a Princess Cruise to Alaska. If you don't like your main course you can always let the staff know and they will actually bring out something else for you to eat! I found that on Princess the food was absolutely phenomenal. But their ships are looking run down. Holland has a much better layout and the suites are really nice! A hot rub on your own deck is a nice touch. I've heard from many people that the food was lacking. It also tends to be a more formal ship so you have to dress for black tie. My brother is a bro in jeans and a tee shirt. So we went Princess Cruise lines. I wanted to say your Mother's green outfit on the first night for dinner, was absolutely beautiful ❤️. I wish they were still departing from Seattle.. I have to say when I went with my family to celebrate my mom's 80th. It was nice to see how many intergenerational groups are taking the cruise to Alaska. I will say the glacier is not even a glacier anymore and it is just astounding to me how much of it has melted away! There wasn't much of a glacier to see when I was there 10 years ago. It's pretty much gone at this point.😢 I have another tip for those of you that want to shop and buy jewelry. Please buy from the locals! How do you find the local business is to get off the strips that all sell the same thing and travel around with those cruise ships from port to port. Go a few blocks over when you're in Juno and ask the locals, where is the local jewelry store? They will tell you, you'll have to go a little deeper but you will save money and you will get a better product. The cruise ship stores all mark up their product and the markup is ridiculous for the quality of said product. Versus what you'll pay through a local buying local made product. Not something shipped in from china and pawned off as "local".
Mendenhall was one of my favorite places in Alaska. We had a miserable day and our excursions were canceled. We hopped on a local cab and drove to the glacier ,simply amazing! Love your videos! Thanks for letting me travel with you!

I have sailed on this line and I totally agree with those comments. My partner ate buffet once in 6 days. I passed. Just as nice in the dining room but served at our table. Sure there aren't 9 bazillion items to choose from, but it's also quieter and much less crowded. An easy trade off decision for us.
My wife and I loved this video, additionally hats off to you friend for bringing along Mom & Dad! 👏
Happy New year, thanks for watching :)
It would be neat to see a video about that if you'd consider it
Thank you for this amazing content. I've watched several clips. I have to say I really love that you bring one or both of your parents!!! So sweet!!
Thank you, happy new year to you too
Just what I needed. A vicarious first class cruise to Alaska. Thanks to your channel 🙂👍
Wish i could have seen more of the nature, whale watching, glaciers. That is what makes Alaska cruises special. Otherwise, it is yet another big fancy ship.
He shows more of the food than the experience lol 😂
What an amazing relationship you have with your parents. You seem such a lovely person, I really enjoy your videos! Thank you!
Happy new year Will! I really enjoy your videos!! Hope you and the family had a wonderful holiday!!
Another fantastic video as always. Out of curiosity, what kind of special equipment do you use to get some of these shots? Do you use a drone? Do you have to get special permission/access from the ship for a proper vantage point? Perhaps it’s a lot easier than I realize.
Thanks so much for watching. I use an insta360 camera, never a drone as there aren’t allowed.
I would sign up for this cruise every season! Even though I'm not usually a fan of cruising, I think the Inland Passage is the smoothest option, and I love all the natural wonders along the way.
If funds were available, your suite looks fantastic! Thank you once again for taking me along on your terrific journey!
As someone who lives in Juneau, it’s hilarious that someone would spend $500 to stand on the glacier for 20 minutes.
Great video as always! The smile that you have when you are engaging with your parents is so genuine. Absolutely fantastic!
Will is just like us. He spams the elevator buttons to make it go faster 😭
Great bud
The way u are appreciating your parents like a dear son is so pleasing to see in this world where children just treat them as burden
Loved the vid! But Juneau is pronounced like joo-no. Rhymes with Uno, or like the goddess Juno. I’m actually related to the Juneau it’s named after so wanted to mention :)
Thanks for the correction, I’ll know for next time :)
Even your video sponsor presentation is FLAWLESS! I actually enjoyed watching an ad!

It's so nice to watch you treat your parents to a really beautiful cruise!! I always enjoy your content, thank you!

What a brilliant video and a great way to start the new year. Thank you and happy new year.
Enjoy the vids, but does anyone else just cringe at the way he acts in these? He acts so... like gross?
Why would you say that sir
Your comment is cringe too joey🤡
Great video, Will! So tickled to see both your Mom and Dad along for this Alaska trip!! Well done, cheers!!!
All the videos looks the same…. Same material shit….
No one’s forcing you to watch. Many of us enjoy them. Find something else you like if this is not to your taste.
Another great video bro! Happy New Year- wishing all the best for you guys!
The Way You Show Love Towards Your Parents is Amazing..!!!
I love that he travels with his family when he can
A couple of thoughts for those considering this trip......
I respect the fact that you travel with your parents. All the best to you all for 2024.
It was great watching father, mother and son together on a magnificient expedition. You are favourite travel TH-camr for obvious reasons. Wish you the best this year for more luxurious and slendid travels.
As a full time carer, I can't, but it sure is good to see some one that can, subscribed, and looking forward to traveling with you, in spirit.
Oh my gosh! I love traveling vicariously with you on these luxurious trips. So happy to see you brought your parents along for the trip. An Alaskan cruise is on my list. Looking at Holland America, looks like a very nice ship.
Thank you! Loved seeing both of your parents, and looking forward to the next time Millie can come, too!
It’s always a pleasure when trek trendy uploads a video! Keep up!
How lovely to see your parents on the cruise! Your mom and dad seem very special.
Really awesome to have the ability to share these experiences with your parents. Enjoy!
Oh, lovely, both mum and dad are traveling with you. They are ever so nice.
It's pretty much gone at this point.😢
I have another tip for those of you that want to shop and buy jewelry.
Fantastic video as always!!! This channel continues going from strength to strength!!!
Whoooo🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Great way to end off the 1st day of the New Year 🎊🎊 Happy New Year to the Trek Trendy Family 🎉🎉
Really enjoyed this video thanks W, great to see the full trio basking in luxury!
This looks like a great trip, and MUM is amazing, so is Dad, they must be so proud of you.
It certainly looks like you had a great time. Happy New Year to you and Millie, and your parents. Here's to bigger and better things in the future.
Mendenhall was one of my favorite places in Alaska. We had a miserable day and our excursions were canceled. We hopped on a local cab and drove to the glacier ,simply amazing! Love your videos! Thanks for letting me travel with you!
Happy New Years, looking forward to a year, full of entertaining video content.
You dont dissapoint me. Your videos encourage me to keep trying during covid ❤ Love from Uk❤❤
Your mom and dad are so sweet and great company.
This cruise my sister and her hubby took years ago and they loved it.
Thanks for making this. The more you review the better these services get!
