Will, you never know when you'll lose your parents and I'm so glad that you treat them with honour and respect and enjoy the time you have with them. My mother passed away at only 62 and I will be 60 at the end of the year, but she was in poor health with breast cancer for about 10 years before she died. I remember taking her for long drives into the country where she would actually fall asleep for most of the journey until we arrived to a place that had a little cafe where we'd have a coffee and pie together. At that time my life was SO different and I thought that I knew the way my life was going but a u turn was about to take me down a path I would never have chosen! I now live in the little country town where my mum and I used to stop and that cafe is still here 21 years later. It comforts me to drive these highways remembering treasured memories. Now my Dad is almost 85, still living alone after all these years, yet stubbornly refusing to let me help him as I did my mother, and he has finally accepted that this will be the last season of life. He has had SO many falls and the last one was REALLY bad. My brother, who stayed with Dad after he broke his hip at home but refused to allow my brother to call an ambulance for 3 whole days, even though he was in agony, died 5 years ago next month and my Dad seems to have selected one of my sons to take over his role as organiser of Care Services even though I cared for my FIL for years at home and I worked as an RN doing Palliative and Aged Care for 20 years. We cannot choose our parents and I'm aware that some of us get lousy parents or one parent, but today might be the day you DO lose one. I KNOW that in the years and decades ahead that you Will will have such great memories of all these times away. It doesn't have to be five-star travel, just companionship together. I wish that I had been able to spend more time with my mum taking her on nice holidays before she got sick but I DO have memories, and they are enough! I just love it when you upload these videos. Take care to all the family Millie included!
I lost my dad 8 months ago and watching this made me smile. I only wish I would’ve been able to do something like this with my Dad. All the best to you and your Dad Will. Looks like you had a great time. Soak up all the time you can with him
A "small thing", but I love that it's such an obvious thing to you to give your father the bigger/better bed. I've done the same for my Dad on the times we've traveled together. Bravo for sending the right message, Will. Thanks, as always, for taking us along on another delightful adventure.
I’ve 30 cruises under my belt and the cruise industry is starting to piss me off with their extra charges and upselling. All geared towards extra spending on meals and drinks. They definitely misjudged you on the Dom. Absolutely shocking that they’ve replaced that with Mercier.
Totally agreed, you have to really watch out for all the exclusions / up charges. I love cruising too, but I’ve certainly been stung a few times not realising.
Couldn't agree more. On some lines the food that is included just is not up to par. You have to pay extra to get a decent meal. And on some of these new ships you have to pay to use the bells and whistles. The prices are now ridiculous and they want to Upsall on everything. They are fleecing passengers and there will come a time when passengers say that's enough. We were all prevented from holidaying properly for 2 years, but enough of ripping people off
Was on that ship in 2023 in an Ocean Suite #6038 (single occupancy) in the caribbean. Payed only 5800 Euros for 10 nights. All in all a very good product for a reasonable price. 5 Restaurants, many drinks, fast internet included. Entertainment was so-so. Champagne on the arrival day in the suite was Veuve Clicquot Brut.

My husband and I, both seasoned cruisers, were booked on week 2 of Explora 1's inaugural cruise, Iceland to Copenhagen, Summer 2023,. We were in a Penthouse Suite, which was lovely, except it had no lighted vanity mirror at the dressing table. About 400 passengers were aboard, mostly travel agents and writers. We might have been the only "paying passengers." We loved the ship. She is elegant, the food excellent, service was outstanding, and there is nothing like being on a ship, on the water, anywhere in the world. However, the whiskey bar had NO Irish whiskey, which we had checked on ahead of time and were given a list. There was only one bottle of Jameson's, while "just okay," had to be snatched from the Atrium Bar and stashed in the whiskey bar for my husband. (Eventually, additional Jameson's was located, so there was one in the Crema Coffee Bar, which along with Bailey's Irish Cream,, was tasty in my coffee.) Also, no smoking was allowed in the cigar lounge, as whatever licenses were required had not been procured in time for her launch. I would enjoy going on her again, though I'm told she is trying to "change her demographic" to appeal to a younger crowd. Yeah, I hope that "younger crowd" has $30k to drop on a cruise.
It’s very cheeky for them to swap out the room champagne to a cheap bottle while charging $21k to book.. this ship looked lovely but was quite style over substance from what I could see
"Style over substance ": Funny you should say that as I was thinking the same thing but regarding the overy snobby food & not so much the ship. As an interior lighting & designer myself, I've always appreciated high quality materials and understated elegance. However, many would regard that level of design as perhaps pontzy and pretentious whereas I wouldn't. Yet when it comes to having hot-n-cold running chamber maids, overly pretentious food and wine, and private Butlers etc, oddly enough, that is where I draw the line. I guess we all have a slightly different take on what is "style over substance " to others.
@@stuartrowena4371 what I saw as style over substance was a marble toilet and Rolex store on the sea but they can’t cook a crème brûlée and serve £30 champagne.. seems like they can’t make their mind up whether it is a premium product or not

You can cruise for 7 days, in a lovely suite, for around $3k usd. The suite Will booked is almost top of the line. We thoroughly enjoyed our Explora Journeys experiences and have booked another. I am a little miffed about the Champagne change. At our suite level they served Veuve and the house pour was Moët, now it’s Mercier Brut.

@@stuartrowena4371 what I saw as style over substance was a marble toilet and Rolex store on the sea but they can’t cook a crème brûlée and serve £30 champagne.. seems like they can’t make their mind up whether it is a premium product or not
@@harrynicol6599- Soufflé - hence why the possibility of undercooked by the kitchen staff. They see it fully risen and wrongfully think the inside is done.
@@ricebeansrockroll882honestly I’d ask why that is the case
Dad is a baller...!!! It's so special to share your trips with your Mom, Dad and of course, beautiful Millie. Cheers...
You know it's a good day when Trek Trendy uploads.Specially when your mum or dad is with you.
I am so happy that you get to enjoy these special trips with your Dad. It is something I will never get the opportunity to do. Getting to live vicariously through you guys is the next best thing.
Sunday night just got a whole lot better !!
As always, such a gentleman and lovely to see your Dad again.
Your dad is so fun! Always great to see him. Lol at the A5 Wagu beef…nice animation.😂
Thank you for watching - and my word it was incredible!
@@Trektrendy but that meme means you're confused
How nice to see you enjoying yourself, again, on an incredible cruise ship. It had more to offer than others that you have been on. It is always good to see you offering these trips for your parents to enjoy, as well. They are both lovely people.
Great to see you again. Just a tip I always brew me some coffee to drink while watching your show so we are basically both having that much needed caffeine hit. ☕️😜
Another amazingly crafted video about a new and captivating excursion! You never fail to deliver, Will!
not gonna lie when your dad said "at least its not a train" my heart hurt as those are my favorites. Especially anything The Venice Simplon Orient Express
I think he said that because he most often joins Will on trains, not so much on cruises. 😁
How wonderful for you to get to travel with your mom and dad. I hope you cherish each and every moment with them.
A lovely lazy Sunday for me… I’m eating and watching. Thank you!
💛💛💛
I'm so glad I watch your channel! I can experience these wonderful cruises and travels for free and in under an hour! Thanks so much for presenting these tidbits of adventures! I just love them! Happy Travels! Be blessed!
Just what I needed to watch on a sweltering afternoon in Northern California.😊
I was just in northern Cali and my goodness the heat at the moment! Have a great Sunday and thanks for watching
Love seeing Dad in this video! Mine is gone, and I miss him dearly . So nice to see you enjoying time with him. Love your videos!
I cant help it, when I see a new episode is ready to watch I get excited,,,,LOL,,,
Your dad seems like such a lovely man and a gentleman like you. I love how you always give the nicest room to your parents. I really enjoy seeing who you will bring with you, your mum, dad or girlfriend, they seem to really enjoy the experiences. I could have been happy with a 2 hour video, they are that enjoyable. Thank you for bringing us with you, really great video as usual.
ahh your Dad. On a free luxury cruise "at least it's not a (luxury ) train!" Tough life he has! haha
To be fair he’s been on mainly trains
I love when will smiles and eyes looks so happy ❤
back in 2006 my wife and I were in victoria, bc, we had a peach bellini on the dock, ten years later, we were back, in the same place, have the same drink. that is what I think of when you mention peach bellini.
Your travel vlogs are hands down my favorite Will. You have such an awesome personality which pulls you further in to the vlog. Also I really love that framed print of clouds in your makeshift bedroom/living room @9:42.
And cheers to your Dad 🙌🏼😎🤙🏼 What a gentleman and awesome traveling partner to have!
Can you please try MSC World Europa/America in a Yacht Club suite? Thank you ❤
As much we love Millie, it's wonderful to see you giving your dad these experiences. Also at 21k GBP, glad to hear the channel is doing well, keep it going!
Always a pleasure to see you treat your family and your production quality is always on point. Loving the 1M+ subs Will. Long time fan from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤
I just watch Trek Trendy vids while sitting on my lake-facing balcony and eating fancy takeout so I can pretend i'm enjoying all the luxuries they are! It's fun to pretend cuz I won't be spending 20k anytime soon on a vacay.
Love that you gave your dad the suite. I wish I could give my dad the suite and travel with him. He’s in heaven. Love your travel journey! Thank you for sharing!
20000 pounds and not all drinks are included?
You and your Dad have one of the coolest relationships. Don't ever ( and I know you don't) take it for granted. Some of us only dream of this.😊
Why are the dishes always 10 times the size of the food served in/on them?
Really enjoy watching you and Dad have so much fun !!! 😂🍾🥂
Sad to see they're cutting corners (champagne) already with such an expensive cruise
Yeah I found it strange given it’s only been running for 11 months
This channel has brought so much joy to me and the people and those around me who watch this channel. Keep posting videos that make us happy and keep on traveling!!!
I sure hope that things were made right with Dad’s soufflé. 😟
I have been watching your videos for quite some time. I have watched them numerous times! I love your cruises and train trips the most! Your parents are so awesome and Miss Millie is so beautiful! You are a lucky young man! Please keep up the good work
At that price, best thing will be... NO KIDS 🤣
You can turn the champagne bottle at a 45% angle and twist the cork very gently with one hand while rotating the bottle in the opposite direction to avoid spilling. Cheers
I am not paying for anything on the cruise if the tickets cost that much. Everything should be free
Greed is good 😅😅I assume mentally
Unfortunately I’ll never be able to afford a cruise, so I live vicariously through your channel. Thanks so much for your amazingly informative and entertaining videos. 🙏
0:25 There’s no H sound in “hola”
i love how you’re always taking your parents with you on these trips (and ofc we love seeing millie) 🥲🥲
I've traveled with my Dad before and it was always great fun! Lots of great memories. Love your videos.
Looks like one of the most boring holiday's ive ever seen!
Sarcasm I hope! It was stunning!
I saw the billboards for Explora watching the Silverstone GP, looked it up and then you drop this video a few hours later. Insanely good timing. Also, massive kudos for always giving up the good bed for your parents, not the first time I've seen you do it and much respect.
Dad is so handsome and sweet! 💜 Thoroughly enjoyed this and so happy you both spent this time together! 😊 🚢 🍾
Treating your parents in this awesome way is a blessing)))
love seeing you bring loved ones along.
OMG your Dad is so charming I love it when he comes along 😊
Love how you say "ravioli!" Great episode...you're father seems so sweet, just like your mum!
I loved following along on this adventure. I always love how you include your parents on your various trips. Its wonderful that you have such a great relationship with them and enjoy their company.
Even though we travel a Lot, I’ve just lived a moment in a class of a world I will never see. I don’t begrudge it and really enjoyed my little escape today, viewing your video. Thank you so much for posting.
This video was so good I was sad to see it end. I love that you spend time traveling with your parents...this time with your dad. Thank you so much!
I like seeing when you invite your parents on your adventures. Cherish every moment with them.
I love your positive attitude, even when you do call out misses. Some other travel bloggers seem to revel in finding things to kvetch about, but your vids seem like you're looking for the positive (even if you don't always find it!).
The onboard dining scheme seems lifted directly from Virgin, which is nice to see!!
I am so happy to see you and your cute dad again, I love you all
Great to see how respectful you are towards your Dad. It's so funny also when I watched how you edited the part when you were eating your wagyu I was just laughing and smiled. God blessed you and thank you for sharing your detailed informative videos that you thoughtfully shared with your Millie, your Mum & Dad.
Just kicked off my Tims and put on my NASA jumper to watch a video of this iconic ship as it sails through some iconic locations. Also got the all important DC by my side which I’ll sip as I watch along with enjoying some immenities in my luxury and iconic surroundings. After I’ve watched I’ll break down how much this viewing cost me. **flashes my best cheesy grin**
It’s so good that you bring your parents to enjoy this experience
Love seeing you spend quality time with your dad. So sweet taking him on this trip and giving him the good bed! 😊
Such a blessing to see that finer things in life is a possibility!
It was a sincere pleasure meeting you and dad Aboard the ship. Am glad you had an amazing time
Can’t beat that …. Quality Time with the old man … you’ll be speaking about for years 👏🏼🙏🏼
You're so nice to your dad, I hope I can provide such amazing thing to my dad in the future
It’s great that you get to work and spend a lot of fun time with your dad
1,600 sqft on a boat is insane. And an 800sqft balcony is even crazier. This must have been a wonderful experience.
Experiencing first class on an ultra luxury cruise sounds absolutely amazing! MSC Explora looks stunning. Thanks for sharing this incredible journey.
Your cinematography never fails to impress and I love the details of your experience. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures. I look forward to each of your videos!
I love it that you’ve brought your dad along for such a great adventure.
Loved that you’re sharing this cruise with your dad. How special. What a fantastic cabin.
Sharing amazing trips with the ones you care most is what makes those trips the best. Wish you and your family many more
