It is hard to find words to describe the brilliance of BJH. They didn't do singles (and therefore missed the mass exposure) and they had massive competition at the time, but what a wonderful band they were. Those of us who were listening in the 70s never knew how lucky we were!

They called themselves the Poor Man’s Moody Blues - hence the fantastic song of that name - but that was nothing to do with the cost of seeing them in concert. Where on earth did you get that from?
All I can say is this brings back vividly both Susan and Barbara. First Barbara, Elliot park, between Lewisham and Blackheath, record on constant repeat all night and me too. hazy, lazy sensual moments. I'll never forget. I took Susan to see BJH at ULU musta been about '71 or 72. Y'all ever wondered what came of those women you loved but let go? Such is life I guess.
