- Sad day, Miami Heat fans as Caleb Martin decides to leave Miami Heat to sign with Philadelphia 76ers. Per reports, he takes less money than was offered by the Miami Heat. Not mad at caleb he has a chance to really succeed with a team that has Elite talent and doesn't ask a role player to be the 2nd best player on the team and create offense he'll play his more natural Guard/SF Position when we forced him to play as a undersized PF

Has the makings of a PJ Tucker situation kinda.. I like Calebs energy and defense and he'll drop an occasional clutch 3, he was brilliant in the vs Celtics series BUT far far too inconsistent in my opinion...I mean he put up a complete stinker in this past playoff run... I had always heard rumblings in the back channels that MIAMI HEAT practices and body fat requirements are far too grueling for many player, also MIAMI inability to land the "BIG FISH" and ARISONS unwillingness to spend on the "BIG FISH" is keeping many suitors away, they do not want to waste their prime years here and are willing to take less money to start, be surrounded by better players to have a better chance to win a ring! Maybe theirs some evidence of this now?

Caleb Martin contract is $32M over 4 years with incentives up to $40M. He turned down $65M over 5 years from Miami, which wasn't available once he opted out his contract. Make it make sense.

Nah I'm not that upset about it and plus he's in a pretty tight spot going to Philly now. I think he wants to be in a better environment with a team that at least has a direction ahead of them. So I knew Caleb wasn't coming back but I didn't think it would be Philly.
But it also depends if Nick Nurse will play the man, since alot of the undrafted players we pick up don't tend to fit on whatever the opposing teams run with their schemes. But maybe it might be another success story like Strus in Cleveland, time will tell.

Whats up Earnest and Miami Heat friends, ok, so its true that the Celtics, Knicks, Bucks, and 76rs are currentky better than the Heat. So the Heat will have to be better than the Pacers, Cavs, and Magic to earn a top 5 seed. With Atlanta. Bulls, Nets and Raptors joining the tankathon next season I see us in good position to avoid the play in and have a punchers chance. We still have a roster featuring, Bam, Butler, Rozier, Herro (for now), Robinson, Jaime, Jovic, Burks, Love, and Ware (who will not factor in immediately) . We have two open roster spots so lets relax , the trade deadline is not till February so we have time to strenghthen roster. We will be fine and more than fine if Jimmy Balls out for that extension.

@robinshaul4069 we currently do not have either the draft capital nor cap space for either. If the Heat find a taker for Herro without taking money back (currently, there are two teams with the cap space to take Herro, Jazz, and Pistons) then we can do the trade. Of we want Lauri then only Pistons can help by taking Herro but Herro won't net us Lauri so we would need to add young assets and I domt think Lauri is worth all the assets Ainge will try to squeeze out of Riley.
