Dude… this is AMAZING. Exactly what i want as a fan. I wish there was more high quality, fun, pure space/ship combat just like this. This is exactly what I’m looking for and you did a truly spectacular job! I know this must’ve taken a crazy amount of time. Every view is well deserved. o7
This is the coolest fan content I've ever seen, super well done. Your shot choices are perfect, you really got the scale of the city and the individual fighters super well. Also, you somehow have a way cooler imperial coruscant design than a show with a $50 million budget. Well earned sub
Years of work, billions of dollars spent, unlimited media influence, and Disney is outmatched again by one dedicated fan. Says its all. Very well done Chris
It seems almost fateful that an X-Wing fan film of this caliber comes out the same day the original designer of the X-Wing passes away. Colin Cantwell, rest in peace, I’m sure he would have loved this.
🛍THE GOSPEL OF THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD "the Salvation of the last day that Christ brought in the second and last incarnation of the His new and holy name" (Jesus was able to complete God's instruction--the work of redeeming all mankind--because He gave careful consideration to God's will, without personal plans and arrangements. (The truth is, He is God Himself testified of God. I mention this here to use the fact of Jesus to illustrate the matter.) He prayed and said: "Father God! Do that which is Your will, and act not according to My wishes but according to Your plan. The weak may be man, but why should You worry about him? In My heart, I only want to do Your will, and I want You to do what You want to do with Me according to Your own wishes." Ultimately , He was crucified and took the likeness of sinful flesh, completing the work of redeeming mankind. He was freed from the bonds of death and Hades. Before Him, mortality, hell, and Hades lost their power, and were conquered He. Throughout His life, He endured immeasurable suffering for God, and He was tempted by Satan countless times, but He was never discouraged. God gave Him such a great work because God trusted Him, and loved Him, and so God said personally: "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." If, like Jesus, you have the ability to carefully take care of God's burden, and renounce your flesh, God will entrust you with His important work in you, so that you can meet the conditions for serving God. Whether you are in front of God, or in front of other people, your heart must always be facing God, and you must stand to love God like Jesus. In this way, God will make you perfect, so that you can be a servant of God according to His heart. In this way, God will not abandon you, and like Peter, you will lead those who love God.) Almighty God said JESUS was ABLE to COMPLETE GOD'S instruction---the WORK of REDEEMING ALL mankind---because He GAVE the ESSENTIAL CARE to GOD'S WILL, without PERSONAL PLANS and ARRANGEMENTS. So, likewise, He is the CONSORT of God---God Himself, which is SOMETHING you ALL UNDERSTAND VERY WELL. (The truth is, He is God Himself that God testifies to. I mention this here to use the fact of Jesus to illustrate the matter.) He was ABLE to put GOD'S MANAGEMENT PLAN at the VERY CENTER, and ALWAYS PRAYED to the FATHER in HEAVEN and DESIRED the WILL of the FATHER in HEAVEN. ☀️ He PRAYED and SAID: "Father God! Do Your will, and act not according to My wishes but according to Your plan. Man may be weak, but why should You worry about him? How can the man in Your concern, the man who is like an ant in Your hand? In My heart, I only want to fulfill Your will, and I want You to be able to do what You want to do with Me according to Your own wishes." ☀️🙏 WHILE on the WAY to JERUSALEM, JESUS was SUFFERING, as if a KNIFE was being TWISTED in His HEART, but He had NOT the SLIGHTEST INTENTION of ABANDONING His WORD; there was ALWAYS a MIGHTY FORCE URGING Him FORWARD to where He was to be CRUCIFIED. Ultimately, He was CRUCIFIED and made in the LIKENESS of SINFUL FLESH, COMPLETING the WORK of REDEEMING mankind. 🙏 He was LOST from the BONDS of DEATH and Hades. 🙏💐 Before Him, MORTALITY, HELL, and Hades LOST POWER, and He was CONQUERED. 🙏🔅 He LIVED for THIRTY-THREE YEARS, throughout which He ALWAYS did His BEST to FULFILL GOD'S WILL according to GOD'S WORK at that time, NEVER CONSIDERING His PERSONAL GAIN or LOSS, and ALWAYS THINKING about the WILL of GOD the FATHER. So, AFTER He was BAPTIZED, GOD SAID: "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." 🙏 Because of His SERVICE before GOD according to GOD'S WILL, GOD PLACED the HEAVY BURDEN of REDEEMING ALL MANKIND on His SHOULDER and SENT Him to FULFILL it, He is QUALIFIED and DESERVED to FINISH this IMPORTANT WORK. In His ENTIRE LIFE, He ENDURED immeasurable SUFFERING for GOD, and He was TEMPTED by SATAN COUNTLESS TIMES, but He was NEVER DISCOURAGED. GOD gave HIM such a GREAT WORK because GOD TRUSTED Him, and LOVED Him, and so GOD PERSONALLY said: "This is My beloved son, in whom I am well pleased." ☀️🙏 At that TIME, only JESUS can FULFILL this INSTRUCTION, and this is a practical aspect of GOD'S FINISHING of His WORK of REDEEMING all mankind in the Age of Grace. 🙏 If, LIKE JESUS, you have the ABILITY to thoroughly TAKE CARE of GOD'S BURDEN, and AVOID your FLESH, GOD WILL TRUST you with His IMPORTANT ACTIVITIES, so that you can MEET the CONDITIONS of SERVING GOD. 🙏💐 Only in such cases will you dare to say that you are doing God's will and complete His instructions, and only then will you dare to say that you are truly serving God. Compared to the example of Jesus, would you dare to say that you are God's neighbor? Do you dare to say that you are doing God's will? Do you dare to say that you truly serve God? Now, you do not understand how to serve God, do you dare to say that you are God's servant? If you say you serve God, aren't you dishonoring Him? THINK ABOUT it: are YOU SERVING GOD, or YOURSELF? ☀️ You serve Satan, but you stubbornly say that you serve God--in this way, are you not dishonoring God? Many people behind Me covet the blessing of status, they indulge in food, they love to sleep and carefully take care of the flesh, always fearing that there is no hope for the flesh. They do not fulfill their proper duties in the church, but take advantage of the church, or tell their brothers and sisters with My words, ruling over others from positions of authority. These people always say that they are doing God's will and always say that they are God's followers---isn't that ridiculous? ☀️ If you have the right intentions, but are unable to serve according to God's will, you are being foolish; but if your intentions are not right, and you still say that you are serving God, you are a person who opposes God, and you deserve to be punished by God! I have no sympathy for such people! ☀️ In GOD'S HOUSE, they TAKE ADVANTAGE, always covet the comforts of the flesh, and have no regard for God's interests. They always seek what is good for them, and they do not understand God's will. They do not ACCEPT GOD'S SPIRIT'S EXAMINATION of anything they DO. They ALWAYS MANIPULATE and DECEIVE their BROTHERHOODS, and they are TWO-FACED, LIKE a FOX in the VINEYARD, ALWAYS STEALING the GRAPES and TRAMPLING the VINEYARD. 😪 Can such people be God's neighbors? Are you fit to receive God's blessings? You do not carry a burden for your life and the church, are you suitable to receive God's instruction? Who would dare trust someone like you? ☀️🙏 WHEN you are SERVING LIKE THIS, CAN GOD FAIL to ENTRUST YOU with a GREATER WORK? Won't this cause delays in the work? I say this so that you know what conditions must be fulfilled to serve in accordance with God's will. If you do not give your heart to God, if you do not give careful care to the will of God like Jesus, God will not trust you, and will lead to JUDGMENT at the end. 🙏 Perhaps now, in your service to God, you always harbor the INTENTION of DECEIVING GOD and ALWAYS TREAT Him RASHLY. In other words, no matter what, if you CHEAT GOD, harsh JUDGMENT will COME UPON YOU. ☀️ You must take advantage of entering the right path of SERVING GOD to GIVE your HEART to GOD first, without divided loyalty. Whether you are in FRONT of GOD, or in FRONT of other PEOPLE, your HEART must ALWAYS be IN FRONT of GOD, and you must STAND to LOVE GOD LIKE JESUS. ☀️🙏 In this WAY, GOD WILL MAKE YOU PERFECT, so that you can be GOD'S SERVANT ACCORDING to His HEART. 🙏 If you REALLY want to BE MADE PERFECT by GOD, and so that your SERVICE is CONSISTENT with His VISION ABOUT FAITH in GOD, and CHANGE the OLD WAY of SERVING GOD, so that YOU can be MADE more PERFECT by GOD. This way, GOD will not FORSAKE you, and, like PETER, you will LEAD those who LOVE GOD. 🙏💐 If you remain without--repentance, you will achieve the same end as Judas. This should be understood by all who believe in God. 😪🙏 From "How to Serve God's Will" Fulfilled in "When I looked up, someone handed me a book wrapped in a scroll. I opened it and I read on both sides the prayers, lamentations, and curses." (Ezekiel 2:9-10). ... "His garment was stained with blood. That's something that is often missing from Star Wars. It's often centralized to these very small locations with small battles. The Clone Wars did a decent job at giving that war feel with all the planet fighting, but sometimes Star Wars just feels too small. There are thousands of systems these armies should be massive. The Invasion of Coruscant in the 2003 Clone Wars shows how massive a scale that droid Army would actually be.
That emerge from the clouds felt like an ode to Revenge of the Sith's opening scene. The pan from a single peaceful ship to a full-on war. Incredible work
It's insane that in less than 20 years since revenge of the sith, technology has advanced so much that what once took an army of animators can be pulled off by one supremely talented person. Well done!
Was it just one person for the animation? In the credits it listed Noble Engine LLC. I honestly have no idea if that's one or maybe a couple others in there.
It's not uncommon to establish an LLC for a project. It is useful for legal and financial reasons. It has no effect on how many people work there, it could be 1 person, it could be many. It seems Noble Engine is a game engine that would like to be part of future projects. A limited liability corporation would be particularly useful for a fan film project that may be subject to copyrights and potential lawsuits. To protect the individuals, hence the "limited liability" part. It seems Noble Engine as a game engine exists, but is for the PlayDate, so it is probably unrelated.
@@nobleengine Awesome work :) Though to have a bit of a criticism, from a lore perspective... that hyperspace jump at the end (and Lusankya's too) shouldn't have been possible from an in-universe standpoint, at least when it comes to the old lore on which your animation appears to be based on... :( those visuals are stunning in that shot, don't get me wrong, but still...
@@marty2129 At this point that Hyperspace lore has been almost totally rewritten. There are instances of in atmosphere jumps in Clone Wars, Rebels, Rogue One and Episodes 7 and 9.
@@Jnaathra I am, sadly, aware of this... :/ that's why I wrote that this criticism is based on the Legends lore which the video seems to be based on...
Well... it's not really that impressive as it's 3D we are speaking off. In real life sure that would be sth because u have a real-life camera and humans that are prone to errors, especially the more of them u add. When u need actors, camera operators, audio technicians, lighting artists, makeup artists and everyone else to do their job almost perfectly its an achievement but computer will always have the exact same result. If Pixar would release a short movie as a one-shot that would be impressive? it would be interesting... and bit annoying as a cuts also tell a story but not particularly hard, computers always give the same results so there is nothing special besides bit different thinking while working on storyboards. Also, there are probably 4 hidden cuts in just first 30 sec.
@@silver7788 tbf this is fan made and was made on no budget what so ever, also just cause its 3d doesnt make it any less impressive, a lot of "live action" shows use cg animation these days
@@liamlinson7563 im not saying the animation isnt impressive, I'm not working on my own fanfic 3D, I'm workin for 9 months on it and it doesn't look half as good (tho im going for more stylized and animating humans is a pain in the ass) I just wanted to educate that one-shots are not impressive in 3D. The lightning, VFX, models all look great and big applaud to them for that just note that one-shots are nothing special in 3D.
What I don't get is why they didn't pump as many proton torpedoes up her aft as they had. Probably wouldn't have done anything major to it, but knocking out one of those engines just after launch would have at least seriously inconvenienced them later. Also, where were the grav-lifts that were supposed to have lifted the ship? Ah well. That was still _amazing._
@@saberiandream316 This is a full reimagining, note the squad being called Wraith, and the higher number of inperial ships defending, and the Disney canon ships.
YOO SHACK. Shocked but not surprised to see you here. Lol. I think I liked the constant streams of fire from the TIE Avenger. Really sold it as a superiority fighter.
The sequence at 0:49 is filled with so many fun details that I think make it so epic, and that's truly an understatement. The chatter on the comms, from the yelling and "Watch out for those turbolasers" make it feel like there's a lot going on, and the continuous shot travelling through the battle gives the viewer a glimpse at the nonstop action going on in the sky. Also, the Asteroid Field theme fits perfectly here. Genuinely one of my favorite short scenes from Star Wars, and it's from a fan film!
my jaw literally dropped, and that's not something that happened very often. Seeing that Super SD emerge from the bottom level of Coruscant was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen!
@@nickter745thebold8 Lusankya had a kilometers-long bed of add-on repulsorlifts built underneath along her entire keel specifically to give her enough lift to get her up out of her tomb. Also, Exegol wasn't written as a propulsion/lift problem, it was presented as a navigation problem, with the atmosphere being so interference-heavy that a ship's systems couldn't track her position and orientation without the reference point of the signal beacon to work from. So while a ship may have simply smoothly risen a hundred meters straight up, a ship's onboard sensors may be getting interfering sensor feedback that says 'the ship has been rolled 60 degrees to port, pitched up thirty, and moved half a kilometer forward'. And intertial compensators mean that either maneuver would feel exactly the same to the people onboard.
I missed it the first time! Gotta love the little details that add that perfect touch of character to things. Also love the “got him, his shields are down” *bang* “MY shields are down!”
The SSD Lusankya is the second ship of the famous Executor-class Super Star Destroyer. She was also known as the Executor II. She was stored under Coruscant's surface. Later during the war, she surrendered to the Rouge Squadron and became the only Super Star Destroyer in the New Republic service. She served until her destruction during the Yuzzhan Vong invasion. Her first appearance was in X-Wing: The Krytos Trap. The TIE Avanger was a project after the famous TIE Advanced x1. More advanced and better protected. It was almost on the same level of the TIE Defender, but cheaper.
That is technically not true. Han Solo commented when they were trying to infiltrate Endor "Don't get jittery Luke, there are a lot of command ships". They function as sector command ships and are hardly unique.
@@TheBabyCaleb No, my point was that the Executor was not really unique and that Han Solo outright said that there were other command ships in the galaxy, not just 2. It was only after the X-Wing books that the idea that there were only 2 initially came about.
@@danielc2701 ah I must have misread your comment, my apologies. There were a lot of SSDs later in the legends books. Iron First, Guardian, And Lusankya are just 3 of 5-6 I believe.
@@TheBabyCaleb I agree, the SW universe had a lot of input from "unofficial" sources to the point where there are a lot of contradictions. The fact that Han can say that the Executor might not be the command ship Vader is on already implies that there are a lot of them, enough to say with certainty that someone who serves on one might not be on the ship you meet.
Dear lord, that was amazing. Not only was it a true Star Wars spectacle, it had the spirit not only in energy, but in innovation. Never seen a fight like that in the movies. That was something new (minus maybe the battle of Coruscant in the animated 2003) but that doesn’t compare to this either.
That moment when they broke through the clouds...wow, just wow. Haven't seen anything that amazing since the opening of Revenge of the Sith! You should be very proud and I hope to see more like this!
Forget the Ewoks, have this as the battle in Episode 6. Let Han get his moment in the X-wing with R-2 and have a similar battle happening much higher up closer to the Death Star.
As a 3D animator, I can tell this... It's a challenge to animate dope flight paths. It's a challenge to animate dope camera movement. It's challenge to animate dope flight paths WITH dope camera movement... And NO EFFIN HARD CUTS!!! This is beyond genius. Amazing work.
Just more of this!!! Less of the mega-corp repeats of the same old story plots, daddy issues, and potential chosen-one syndrome. Just pure, unadulterated SW Action!
I was impressed. I was having fun. Then I heard the word "Lusankya", and I was stunned, flabbergasted, and then overjoyed, when I realized what was happening. Then, the Lusankya rose. What an incredible short film. Well done.
This is what I imagine when a new Star Wars fighter game comes out, hundreds of capital ships and enough tie fighters to keep you busy for hours. I loved this and wish I could see more… this is amazing beyond words…
Props for having such a busy and chaotic battle without it becoming too hard to focus on the action that matters. Reminds me a lot of Revenge of the Sith's opening. Wish more space battles did that as opposed to the cluttered mess we got in episode 9.
I am so glad someone else understood the SSD rising from under Coruscants surface. I couldn't wrap my head around the amount of destruction that happened when Isard fled the planet.
@@sithazzazzin7329 Some slight artistic licence though like the close to planet jump. The Lusankya actually got lifted out by a repulsorlift cradle that blocked a lot of shots from groundfire before it powered up and flew out of atmosphere before jumping. And IIRC, the Alliance already had control of the planet by the time the Lusankya lifted, there was no guarding fleet for it.
@@nobleengine Your animating styles are astounding. Wish I could pull off fluid animation like that, then I’d be able to bring my concepts of Star Wars stories to life! 😁
@@nobleengine You made the right call. I can't even really begrudge you having Lucy jump from in atmosphere despite my usual distaste for that. Handling the rubble movement must have been enough of a nightmare without having the ship tip vertical. Mixing the scale of Dark Empire's coruscant battle with the "Oh shit" moments of the X-Wing books was glorious.
@@DIEGhostfish yah you pretty much got it. It was so tough having the simulation last that long that having it jump in atmosphere was the easiest way for me to get out of simulating the physics. If I had it go to space my computer would still be simming. 😄
I haven't been this enthralled by Star Wars in **years**. No surprise that this was made by an old school Star Wars fan. I can see the 90s-era Lucas Arts inspirations here. You made my day, brother. Thank you very much.
The ideas laid out in the late-80s, permutated into the 90s golden era and gave us fuel into the early 2000s. For me there's just a purity there that can't be matched. Pure fun, pure wonder, pure STAR WARS!
I'd love to see Michael Stackpole's take on this, since it's basically a blending of two of his books: the capture of Coruscant from Wedge's Gamble and the escape of the Lusankya from Krytos Trap.
Can't believe this has only 116 views. Just in time for the Kenobi hype. I'm sure this will explode. Really cool seeing an Imperial era battle over Coruscant. Unbelievably well done, gave me goosebumps.
Gods i didn't know how much i needed this in visual media too. agreed that the X-wing books need some more adaptation. another good set that would make a great Tv series is the thrawn books old and new.
Holy hell me too I'm literally almost in tears I feel like such a dork, but I read and reread the X-Wing series a bunch of times when i was a teen and it's a huge part of why I'm even still a fan
I found myself imagining the panic in the city as entire neighborhoods just crumbled to let that beast take flight. Then it jumped from UNDER the debris! WOW!
I like how if any one of those capitol ships goes down, it takes out a civilian district the size of Manhattan Island with it. Seriously though, the Stackpole novels are to this day some of my favorites out there.
This is what fans are capable of. The love, and passion, and dedication that you guys have for this series is evident in every single frame. I had a smile on my face from beginning to end. Amazing work.
Damn that was impressive. Ever since reading 'The Krytos Trap' always imagined what that'd have looked like, the Lusankya rising up from the city and how much destruction that would've caused just getting that thing airborne. This didn't disappoint.
Easily a billion people dead just from the Lusankya taking off. I can't think of any other ship that can say it did that while leaving its berth on it's maiden voyage. By far one of the most impressive moments in the Expanded Universe. I'm sorta bias, if you couldn't tell by my username, lol. Lusa-Iceheart as in Lusankya and Iceheart (Ysanne Isard).
If I'm not mistaken, this ship's name was Lusankiya, Palpatine decided to hide the existence of the ship under the guise of a planetary shield, but then they decided to convert the ship into a secret political prisonbut then they decided to convert the ship into a secret political prison. One imperial commander decided to use it as an escape ship, and now let's remember the size of this hulk, namely 19 kilometers, When the ship took off, It destroyed dozens of residential complexes, killing tens of millions of ordinary citizens. But then the rebels captured the ship and used it as a deterrent weapon, it's funny that this ship was the only one (like its rival) that fought with the same EXECUTOR-class ship. Then in the war with the Yuzhan-Vongs The ship was used as a battering ram against The ship-world. P.S. in the book, the ship first flew to a small orbit to jump into hyperspace.
It’s the ONLY nitpick here, and an annoying one that Disney keeps disregarding when it suits them… Hyperdrives CANNOT FUNCTION IN THE PRESENCE OF A GRAVITY WELL…
@@trayolphia5756 the creator had no choice but to cut her screen time short. the emergence alone nearly killed his computer due to simulating all the debris so i can understand why he did that. im sure if he had one that could handle everything it would have been more accurate.
@@jameslennie5203 oh that wasn’t a nitpick directly to this creator, but to Disney as a whole since Disney have thoroughly abused the mechanic of a hyperdrives functionality, which makes even less sense when they’ve shown the effectiveness of interdictors, yet still can jump whilst in gravity wells. I can get the whole hardware limitations of someone making something like this…and whilst it doesn’t detract, it’s still something that niggles, but you can push down to the side when you know the reasons…but disney as a whole have no such excuse is what I was getting at

You are a legend sir
Astounding quality, blows my mind what you achieved in a few minutes of footage. So many fantastic moments in such quick succession- the squadron emerging from the clouds into the pell-mell capital ship melee, the series of great dogfights and saves, skimming across capital ships and through the citycape. Lusankya emerging gave me goosebumps, and that debris cloud briefly holding its shape after the SSD jumped + the music crescendo was magic. Great voice acting, chemistry, and even humor between the pilots draws you in beyond the visuals. Great little details like the X-Wing/Tie Fighter sound effects and cockpit UI hit me right in the nostalgias. And so much more to gush about. Thanks for your hard work on this!
Wow i never thought I'd see lusankya in a fan film. That is one hell of a choice to focus on. Something commonly forgotten by a great deal of legacy fans. Bravo sir most impressive
This is beautiful. It has to be possibly the best depiction of a star wars space battle I've ever seen. The single camera shot the whole way through was beautiful, the speed was captivating, and I'm just honestly shocked at what I've just watched. I almost can't believe this is a fan film. Wonderful work!

I recognized this immediately from the books and someone was doing their homework when they made this. I think Lucas made a bad call when he sold Lucasfilm to Disney. Since then, they,ve corrupted everything. There are a couple exceptions but overall, it's a mess now. One of my goals would be to 'destroy' Disney completely and rebuild some else. Walt Disney is probably turning over in his grave now.
Seeing the Lusankya rise up was everything I imagined when reading the books as a kid. Thank you for creating this and bringing one of those iconic moments to the screen. Ysane Isard should have been the main villain of The Mandalorian. She needs to be rescued from the EU and given the big screen she deserves.
I showed my 77 year old Dad, who’s worked with computers since the early early days (and worked for NASA right out of college so loves space), this and told him it was only a couple people who made it. It blew his mind. As someone who grew up playing the X-Wing and Tie Fighter games with a flight stick when I was 7-9 years old I loved it immensely myself. Fantastic work!!!
This hit every check in the box The music The sound effects The visuals The communications And props to all those actors for their performances. Yes 100% agree one of my favorite things about starwars is the way it captures scale. I love how this feels like thousands of ships fighting on coruscant a city planet with trillions of people. It captures that sense scale so well.
By the time of the Battle of Coruscant the might of the Imperial Navy was almost over and the Rebel Fleet had surged to nearly match it. I wouldn't be surprised if the Battle looked similar to this, with 2 massive fleets duking it out for control of the planet.
The X-Wing books are some of my favorite from the Expanded Universe. So glad to see Wraith Squadron and Rogue Squadron back in action and blasting Imperial TIEs, just as the finest pilots of the New Republic should be!
X-Wing Alliance audio was a nice treat! The combat was a little too close and over-dense for me earlier on, and a few tiny nerd points like the R5 being an R2 (but hey Luke gets that wrong the other way around in ANH!), the capital ships all just getting into the atmosphere feels "wrong", plus hyperdrives shouldn't work within gravity wells of planets (it's how interdictor cruisers work). Lovely Lusankya reference with the SSD! I feel bad for being overly critical on tiny points but it's more an issue of "this is what stops it being perfect for me" because i loved it at its core and if all that gets criticised are tiny points then I think that's telling of the quality of the rest of it! Honestly it being a few hundred miles out from Coruscant in space and opened up the distances a bit more I'd have thought it perfect. Wonderful work, please keep doing what you're doing.
A fantastically developed concept; the sort of thing that you wish was the intro to a two hour feature instead of a short! I think for the multitudes who have been disappointed by the sequels, this is a return to the concepts and themes we love: intrigue, high stakes and the uphill battle. Additionally, this low budget fan film was able to depict high-quality action without the modern filmmaking technique of "too much blur, lens flare and quick cuts to piece together what is happening." Well-freakin'-done
@@nickter745thebold8 I was referring to unnecessary color filters that make whole scenes mono colorful. Either everything has a blue, red or green overlay thus making it feel unnatural.

@@nickter745thebold8 This is a weird mix of Fan imagination, Legends and Disney, in Disney there's little downside to jumping like this, but in Legends it was either impossible or involved disabling safeties that meant your ship would be unable to leave hyperspace to avoid smashing into the hyperspace mass-shadow of another planet or star or black hole or dark matter cluster. AND the ship takes damage in the process. The change Disney made allowing this drains tension from scenes where heroes have to escape, but I can accept it for this scene.
@@DIEGhostfish In other words them jumping while in the gravity well of a planet was a pure desperation move to get away since the Rebels were taking control of low orbit and upper orbit.
@@TankHunter678 More like a pure desperation move so his computer didn't catch fire and burn the whole building down. I can tell you the rubble shifting was bad enough. Going with what actually happened in Legends where it angled vertical and all the rubble had to slide off the long and complicated way bouncing off the cityscape would have probably turned the poor guy's GPU into something approximating the sun.
I would have probably have crashed into a building if I flew. Reading about the Lusankya rising up from the surface in the books and seeing it now rendered 20+ years later is amazing.

When the fandom has to do all the heavy lifting to keep a franchise alive. Cynicism aside, this was absolutely phenomenal! I think this makes my personal top 3 star wars battles, hands down.
Oh my good God, Mr. Parks you absolutely nailed it. That 5 minutes of pure glory brought tears of absolute joy to my eyes. I really cannot think of any higher praise to give.
This was mindblowing! Holy smokes this was so well done in all aspects. The SSD reveal was so good it took me just enough time to remember where i heard the ship name before it emerged from the planet.
It is significantly easier to make a 5 minute plot than a multi- movie plot. This is good because it was fan made. If Disney were to put this out, they would be criticized for low effort. All that being said, great job op.
More a love letter to Legends realy. People still love it enogh to create this... althou them disney shit ships have nothing lost in this here one. that tryhard MC75 and them hammerhead corvets hurt more than feel awesome here.. at least they got victory's, at least one ISD3 and even at least 1 harrow in there as well. They still have the Defiance class size wrong thou...
But one thing makes me sad. We still have Disney's hyperspace jumps out of the atmosphere. This was not possible in the X-Wing book series. This wasn't possible in the OT and it wasn't possible in the Prequels. On the other hand, such huge changes to the inner-world rules of the Star Wars universe explain why Disney destroyed the expanded universe: There would have been too many logical errors, contradictions and plot holes. But of course it wasn't enough and so it didn't work. The whole blockade of Naboo from Episode I makes no sense if you could have just jumped out of Naboo's atmosphere into hyperspace.
@@christianresel8051 still looking for that ISD3. Where did you spot that one mate? also i love the additions of the Victory class as well. hands down my favorite star destroyer!
Except for jumping to hs from inside the gravity well, this was an amzing interpretation of what (for me) is the most memorable thing from the old EU. Lusankya being built in secret underneath the capitol was an amazing reveal back in the day. Honestly, the Rogue/Wraith storylines (or Thrawn) would have made for far better movies than what we got from Disney. Fucking amazing work, had chills halfway through when I realized what this had to be. Keep it up!
I hoped I wasn't the only one questioning jumping from inside the gravity well. Don't get me wrong - production quality is awesome! Love the pace of the action.
Indeed, the hyper jump inside the planet is the only "odd" thing from the video, everything else is cool, as a matter of fact, in the cockpit scenes you can see the Engine Shield Laser meter is moving, just like in the Lucas Arts PC games simulators
Congratulations, this is one hell of a work. This is truly awesome and captures exactly the essence of the Star Wars we all know and love, and we all fans deserved. Thank you so much ❤
This was absolutely incredible to watch, makes me immediately think of the games of my childhood but also brings Rogue One's space battle to mind. I really can't wait to see what else you plan to create in the future as a filmmaker. Keep it up!
This makes me mad because this is the Star Wars that Disney should have given us. But it also makes me happy seeing so many talented fans carrying the torch for George Lucas and the talented EU writers of the past. TIE Fighter was my introduction to Star Wars. Seeing the TIE Avenger put a big smile on my face.
Glad it was not just me. The Tie Avenger and Tie Defender are still incredible ships. The Tie Defender has been nerfed to the ground since because it was too damn good for Disney to let the Empire actually have the short of elite craft they had the money and R&D teams to build, because it was too good.
@@alexrose1ukv2 Believe ir it not, the TIE Defender was not actually nerfed quite as much as you'd (and I certainly did) think from TIE Fighter. My last playthrough of TIE, I conducted some experiments and came to a horrible realisation - the tech room in TIE straight-up *lied* to me for twenty years, on both the T/D and T/A. In effect, it listed the 200% SBD shields (when counting only the 100% of everyone else). They actually only have 100 and 50 SBD respectively, even in TIE Fighter. (Which is why I realised you can take out a T/D with two advanced missiles, and you can't survive more than one advanced missile when you're flying a T/A - even at double shields, that's still split front and rear, so you only have 25+25 verses the missile's 60...) I more recently double-confirmed this when thanks to the Total Tie Fighter Converstion Project for X-Wing Alliance, they gave me a way to actually look under the hood at the game stats. I was a bit miffed about that, I can tell you...! Granted, the later games did nerf their speed and maneuverability a tad; but the belief they halved the shields was always my biggest gripe, and turns out that was entirely based on Imperial techroom propaganda. This has been your Pointless Star Wars Trivia for the day...
Awesome vid one of the favorite parts for me was the super destroyer jumping and leaving all the debris just to fall really inventive there again awesome job!
This is fucking amazing! In just a few minutes you've managed to hook me to the characters and their plight and give me chills when I hear the name 'Lusankya' and know what that means. Stellar work, I am going to spread this around because it is criminal how few views this has!
This was absolutely amazing! There are numerous YT videos of SW Space Battles and the number continues to grow, but there are only a handful that are actually worth watching! Of course I love the Jedi and Sith and any lightsaber battle between them but it was the Ships and Battles fought in them that made SW magic to a kid who grew up before the PT! I think people that were born during the period after they came out are unfortunately a little less aware of that. The theme running through all 3 OT movies is being a great pilot is the most valuable thing one could be! Han, Chewie, Luke, Vader, Lando, Wedge, all of them were amazing pilots! 🛍THE GOSPEL OF THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD "the Salvation of the last day that Christ brought in the second and last incarnation of the His new and holy name"
(Jesus was able to complete God's instruction--the work of redeeming all mankind--because He gave careful consideration to God's will, without personal plans and arrangements. In this way, God will not abandon you, and like Peter, you will lead those who love God.)
Almighty God said
JESUS was ABLE to COMPLETE GOD'S instruction---the WORK of REDEEMING ALL mankind---because He GAVE the ESSENTIAL CARE to GOD'S WILL, without PERSONAL PLANS and ARRANGEMENTS. ☀️
He PRAYED and SAID: "Father God! Do Your will, and act not according to My wishes but according to Your plan. Man may be weak, but why should You worry about him? How can the man in Your concern, the man who is like an ant in Your hand? In My heart, I only want to fulfill Your will, and I want You to be able to do what You want to do with Me according to Your own wishes." ☀️🙏
WHILE on the WAY to JERUSALEM, JESUS was SUFFERING, as if a KNIFE was being TWISTED in His HEART, but He had NOT the SLIGHTEST INTENTION of ABANDONING His WORD; there was ALWAYS a MIGHTY FORCE URGING Him FORWARD to where He was to be CRUCIFIED. Ultimately, He was CRUCIFIED and made in the LIKENESS of SINFUL FLESH, COMPLETING the WORK of REDEEMING mankind. 🙏
He was LOST from the BONDS of DEATH and Hades. 🙏💐
Before Him, MORTALITY, HELL, and Hades LOST POWER, and He was CONQUERED. 🙏🔅
He LIVED for THIRTY-THREE YEARS, throughout which He ALWAYS did His BEST to FULFILL GOD'S WILL according to GOD'S WORK at that time, NEVER CONSIDERING His PERSONAL GAIN or LOSS, and ALWAYS THINKING about the WILL of GOD the FATHER. So, AFTER He was BAPTIZED, GOD SAID: "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." 🙏
Because of His SERVICE before GOD according to GOD'S WILL, GOD PLACED the HEAVY BURDEN of REDEEMING ALL MANKIND on His SHOULDER and SENT Him to FULFILL it, He is QUALIFIED and DESERVED to FINISH this IMPORTANT WORK. In His ENTIRE LIFE, He ENDURED immeasurable SUFFERING for GOD, and He was TEMPTED by SATAN COUNTLESS TIMES, but He was NEVER DISCOURAGED. GOD gave HIM such a GREAT WORK because GOD TRUSTED Him, and LOVED Him, and so GOD PERSONALLY said: "This is My beloved son, in whom I am well pleased." ☀️🙏
At that TIME, only JESUS can FULFILL this INSTRUCTION, and this is a practical aspect of GOD'S FINISHING of His WORK of REDEEMING all mankind in the Age of Grace. 🙏
If, LIKE JESUS, you have the ABILITY to thoroughly TAKE CARE of GOD'S BURDEN, and AVOID your FLESH, GOD WILL TRUST you with His IMPORTANT ACTIVITIES, so that you can MEET the CONDITIONS of SERVING GOD. 🙏💐
Only in such cases will you dare to say that you are doing God's will and complete His instructions, and only then will you dare to say that you are truly serving God. ☀️
You serve Satan, but you stubbornly say that you serve God--in this way, are you not dishonoring God? Many people behind Me covet the blessing of status, they indulge in food, they love to sleep and carefully take care of the flesh, always fearing that there is no hope for the flesh. They do not fulfill their proper duties in the church, but take advantage of the church, or tell their brothers and sisters with My words, ruling over others from positions of authority. These people always say that they are doing God's will and always say that they are God's followers---isn't that ridiculous? ☀️
If you have the right intentions, but are unable to serve according to God's will, you are being foolish; but if your intentions are not right, and you still say that you are serving God, you are a person who opposes God, and you deserve to be punished by God!
I have no sympathy for such people! ☀️
In GOD'S HOUSE, they TAKE ADVANTAGE, always covet the comforts of the flesh, and have no regard for God's interests. 😪
Can such people be God's neighbors? Are you fit to receive God's blessings? You do not carry a burden for your life and the church, are you suitable to receive God's instruction? Who would dare trust someone like you? ☀️🙏
WHEN you are SERVING LIKE THIS, CAN GOD FAIL to ENTRUST YOU with a GREATER WORK? Won't this cause delays in the work?
I say this so that you know what conditions must be fulfilled to serve in accordance with God's will. If you do not give your heart to God, if you do not give careful care to the will of God like Jesus, God will not trust you, and will lead to JUDGMENT at the end. 🙏
Perhaps now, in your service to God, you always harbor the INTENTION of DECEIVING GOD and ALWAYS TREAT Him RASHLY. In other words, no matter what, if you CHEAT GOD, harsh JUDGMENT will COME UPON YOU. ☀️
You must take advantage of entering the right path of SERVING GOD to GIVE your HEART to GOD first, without divided loyalty. Whether you are in FRONT of GOD, or in FRONT of other PEOPLE, your HEART must ALWAYS be IN FRONT of GOD, and you must STAND to LOVE GOD LIKE JESUS. ☀️🙏
In this WAY, GOD WILL MAKE YOU PERFECT, so that you can be GOD'S SERVANT ACCORDING to His HEART. 🙏
If you REALLY want to BE MADE PERFECT by GOD, and so that your SERVICE is CONSISTENT with His VISION ABOUT FAITH in GOD, and CHANGE the OLD WAY of SERVING GOD, so that YOU can be MADE more PERFECT by GOD. This way, GOD will not FORSAKE you, and, like PETER, you will LEAD those who LOVE GOD. 🙏💐
If you remain without--repentance, you will achieve the same end as Judas. This should be understood by all who believe in God. 😪🙏

@@plzletmebefrank name of the TH-cam page?
It's not uncommon to establish an LLC for a project. It is useful for legal and financial reasons. It has no effect on how many people work there, it could be 1 person, it could be many. It seems Noble Engine is a game engine that would like to be part of future projects. A limited liability corporation would be particularly useful for a fan film project that may be subject to copyrights and potential lawsuits. To protect the individuals, hence the "limited liability" part.

Though to have a bit of a criticism, from a lore perspective... that hyperspace jump at the end (and Lusankya's too) shouldn't have been possible from an in-universe standpoint, at least when it comes to the old lore on which your animation appears to be based on...
In atmosphere jumps are possible, but extremely stressful for the hyperdrive and can be dangerous for both the passengers and those on the planet.

@@bjorntantau194 yes, from X-Wing's Rogue Squadron Novel, with Yzan Isard 's Lusankya, built under the surface of Coruscant

@@danielc2701 did you reply to the wrong comment?
@@TheBabyCaleb No, my point was that the Executor was not really unique and that Han Solo outright said that there were other command ships in the galaxy, not just 2. It was only after the X-Wing books that the idea that there were only 2 initially came about.
@@danielc2701 ah I must have misread your comment, my apologies.

@@sithazzazzin7329 Some slight artistic licence though like the close to planet jump. The Lusankya actually got lifted out by a repulsorlift cradle that blocked a lot of shots from groundfire before it powered up and flew out of atmosphere before jumping.

I don’t see why jumping to hyperspace from the atmosphere is supposed to be impossible. It’s just hyperspace.
@@nickter745thebold8 Interdictor Cruisers are canon, so gravity affects objects in hyperspace in canon. Therefore it’s impossible to jump to lightspeed within a mass shadow

This doesn’t scream EU.
