Cosmic Ashtray // Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument

We concluded our stay in Escalante Utah hiking to one of most bizzare geologic formations we’ve seen. The remote 9 mile hike took us to the Cosmic Ashtray. We kept asking ourselves, “how did this happen?” It’s something you have to see to believe. We hope you enjoy the video 😊.

What a unique scene this is. For a min I thought it’s water in there, then I saw the slope and foot prints. Probably formed by millions of years of wind-induced erosion of nearby rocks

Did you see the straight "clouds" in the sky? It's already contaminated 😢

There were footprints in the sand from people going down the steps cut out in the rock wall. Not for us. We were happy to stay up high looking down. Thanks for watching. Best wishes to you.
