Your welcome!.. well that one is bit tricky. I am worried about someone doing at home and damages their skin and blames me for it. Already people use too much of it or incorrectly that the Ordinary themselves is concerned. I probably do a gentle verison like 5% or something
Hello, thank you. You can use lotion pro or Olivem 1000 but use in small amount like 1-2% otherwise it gets thicker. For bakuchiol alternative I have not used astaxanthin but I know it’s potent. You can also add extra rosehip oil to protect retinol.
Thank you so much for this video ❤ I was just wondering if the retinol will be stable in the formula ? And can i use Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate instead ( its a stable form of vitamin c)
Cool thank for that I will be using Retinoic acid which is really the best one to use & that actually give results in anti ageing so I think I will bit using formula of 0.1 - 0.2%. Thanks for the information tho!!
@@ziverorganiques Yes Retinoic Acid is the highest & flag ship of all the Retinoils as far as the science & results on anti ageing thats why I got it. Its used in TRETINOIN as the active ingredient. There's a hierarchy of retinoids that are categorised by how many steps it takes to convert them into active retinoic acid once they're applied to your skin, and therefore how potent they are. The fewer the steps, the stronger the formulation - and often the pricier the product. Retinoids that don't require conversion: retinoic acid, only available on prescription in the UK (such as tretinoin or Roaccutane) used for conditions including acne Retinoids that convert in one step: retinal/retinaldehyde and retinoic acid esters - often listed as granactive retinol, retinyl retinoate or hydroxypinacolone retinoate (HPR) Retinoids that convert in two steps: retinol Retinoids that convert in three steps: retinyl esters, such as retinyl palmitate (pro-retinol), retinyl acetate, retinyl linoleate and retinyl propionate

Thank you! Yes I have read about the hierarchy of retinoids and agree on price. 10gr retinal powder costs almost 100Usd or more. There is a regulatory side of this EU is now decreasing the amount to 0.2% so makes sense a more potent version
Yes you can, depends what type of ceramide are you adding ie water or oil based. Do a patch test first and no reaction, start with day use and then you can increase it.
@ziverorganiques lotion pro 165 will be awesome According to the supplier details, it can keep actives like retinol in check, emulsify without the bodying or thickness that comes with certain emulsifiers and without the whitecast. I think this will best suit as a side by side comparison with the emulsifier used. So for instance, stabilizers, water phase and oil phase+emulsifier.
Yes actually in the Natragem brochure they do a direct benchmark performance with lotion pro 165. (Glyceryl streate and peg 100 streate) I think they brought this out compete with that. But their angle is this being touted as natural also has cetreayl alcohol integrated. And you know me I am a naturals obsessed 😂😂. This might be an interesting idea comparing lotion pro , Natragem and olivem see what kind of texture they make at same %s

Ok i will add it to my “101” series
Thank you so much, been looking for a video on how to formulate with retinol. Can I omit vitamin C? Thank you again, God bless!
No problem. Yes, you can remove Vit C. Make sure removed amount is added to water
@@ziverorganiques perfect, thank you

Your welcome! Yes retinol is stable in this formula ph range 6-6.5 is ideal. Yes you can use SAP just make sure ph doesn’t fluctuate much.
Okay , I thought b3, vit c & vit A can’t be mixed ?
Thank you, please where do you buy your Squalene from in the UK.
Hello, there are few places. Check out thesoapery, bayhouse aromatics and naturally thinking
@ziverorganiques Thanks , love your videos.
Do you have a video on lip balm that I can sell, please if you are willing to share.

no worries, yes you can use that as alternative. I got my hands on retinal , so working on a retinal emulsion 0.2%

i believe i mentioned it in the video already try olivem 1000

Yes you can though I tried this olivem 1000 and it was bit thicker. So it may not give you exact texture.
