Last year the bank offered me to invest in some stocks. I have never done that but my father did. Ofcourse the bank will have profit from it but I also. So I heard the seller from the banks story and I agreed to jump in. Remember, I have no job so only unemployment money. The first rise was 11% and this month it was 8%. So yeah, with my little money I stepped over some fear and took a risk. Now something else about fear. My best friend rents an apartment for many years already. He bought from his little money ( he works at the city's green/ landscape service to keep the city green tidy) a real airco system for in his apartment. The hose most go through the fold window above his balcony door. But the hose is 150mm in diameter but the small window only opens at 45° to 90mm. So I tell him, but a window opener that opens the window further. No, it is not my own house and when I drill holes it might rot and I get the bill later....Thus he sees only bears on the road ( problems). In the mean time I made an enormous hole in my house 20" full rock wall from 1870 to make a door to my garden. I bought the door ( from wanting something to actually do it to reach a goal), demolished the wall under the window, got the neighbor out of his garden to help me to take out the window and so after several weeks I have a door to my garden. It was a lot of work but I made(!) it. In the meanwhile my best friend did nothing to be able to use his new airo system. I push my idea to get it/things done. So, my friend is always proceeding carefully and slow and I make it happen. My friend lives in The Netherlands and I live in the Ardennes but I am also Dutch. So now I can use the door to my garden and my house is worth more and he is still sleeping in a warm bedroom. As a best friend I told him to find a solution to be able to use his machine. Thus sometimes or many times you have to go beyond a fear. Regards from the Battle of the Bulge area

On the time spent point; in many circumstances, getting a job done in a good timeframe (not rushed, but no dithering) or making a decision quickly, is more important than getting it perfect. A mistake can be remedied as long as youve left contingency time, and you learn from the mistake. Plus finishing the task gives time to evaluate, whereas if you take ages aiming for perfection, you might not leave enough time to check you actually got it right. Sometimes you get tunnel visioned aiming for perfection
It's infinitely easier to dance on a tightrope if you have a safety net below. If poor people appear risk averse that has much to do with this concept. Without the security of that safety net, consequences are completely devastating.
This is an example of poor person thinking. Having a safety net gives the option of failing without any real consequences. You see that safety net as a positive thing, it’s not. People who become wealthy from nothing do so because for them, failure is not an option. They treat every challenge as something they have no choice but to overcome at any cost. How hard do you focus when you know you can fall and still be Ok, compared to knowing that it’s all over if you make one mis-step, if you lose focus for even a second….. You are proving the point that it’s a poor mentality that keeps most poor people poor. Those who will ultimately stay poor are the ones who will see their lack of a safety net as an excuse not to try. Those who will succeed see their lack of a safety net not as an excuse not to try, but as a reason to work harder to be laser focused and thoroughly prepared because they know that the consequences of failure leave them only one choice: succeed at all cost.
@@MDC_1985MDC it's fun to play backseat driver in someone else's life but stop. A person would be an irresponsible and negligent twat to play on a tightrope without a safety net when they have a family depending on them. Only an A-hole would make gambles that might involve their kids going hungry. A safety net that allows mistakes is a huge advantage for those that have it. Things don't always work out and people can lose their homes, cars, and kids if they are too risk tolerant. It's not a poor person thing, it's a responsible human thing
@@rayzerot more excuses not to do something rather than finding ways to overcome. Family is a perfect excuse too, now you can blame your fear and your total financial dependence on the idea that you are making a noble sacrifice for them……. Ohh and you get to teach them to be sheep, who can’t think for themselves and see everyone who does succeed as, wait how did you’d put it…”a-holes” and “negligent twats”…. About the money and not learning how to use it (properly): It's the old paradox Aristotle already put in words: If you are uneducated in one area, you don't know that you don't know anything. "The more you know, the more you realize that you don't know." Well, you somehow first gotta learn just enough to get to that realization...
This is called reverse causality: The mindset doesn't get people rich or poor. People adopt a mindset based on their experiences as a rich or poor person, because humans are for a big part product of their experiences.

I truly love your video and agree with a lot of the true knowledge that you’re sharing with us from that book and I wish that you add in it another fact of (CONSEQUNCES) not everything in poor man’s life is (FEAR, DOUBT AND WORRY). Rich person can handle the lost simply because he or she has enough to back him or her up in a lost situation, but a Poor person will lose everything as consequences of his or her failure, so fear, doubt and worries are a very important guidance to survive in this life but they must start some ware with precaution if they want to be rich sometimes in this life.
Every single investment that pays big is also very risky. Only wealthy people have the cushion to survive that risk, so they also get the biggest payoffs in investment. The bad investments are a mere speed bump and if they have positioned themselves correctly they can possibly write off those losses anyway. (and only rich people can do that, too).
Rich people go big or go home, they dont worry about how much they have in their bank. They more money they have the more risk they take, but they bet 100% of they money not portion. Just like a gamble. Life is a gamble, but you have to play it smart not blindly and hoping it would work.
@@aaakhmed Actually, rich people don't gamble their OWN money. They are masters at getting investors and backers. Wealthy people don't put their own money at risk. They put YOUR money at risk.
I ❤ your videos. I hope people appreciate and use the infornation you put out there. I know from personal experience that, success and getting what you want in life, is only a decision away, followed by, planning, setting goals, descipline, and hard work.......
Rich people focus on opportunities, poor people focus on obstacles, this is amazing, it changes my perspective to see the problems as opportunity, i don't have enough money, there is a opportunity, opportunity to make money, to learn new skillset, to learn more about financial management for me to become financially stable, if you focus on opportunities you will get more opportunities, that's great, thank you so much i just did what you just had said in the part of listing my net worth and i realize that it is true, it's not about how many books you read, but it's all about on how many books you applied in your real life that matters!
Rich and poor are unhelpful references here. Abundance mindset and scarcity mindset are preferable because having money doesn’t necessarily make a person abundant , or ‘rich’ in their wider life. However, the points in the video (& book) are accurate in defining both mindsets. Personally, I have learned an abundant mindset and tried to release myself from scarcity. For example: taking more risks, but if some do not work, it’s not failure, but a process to success. In this way my successes have been more, and I have learned so much from the rest that I can apply in future situations.
Difference #9 Rich people manage their money well (while mismanaging other people'smoney, never gamble withyour own money when you can use someoneelse'smoney), and poor people mismanage their money (on the advice of rich people, when banks fail it isn't the bankers who go hungry) Sums up the finance industry perfectly.

It's amazing to me how much of this is Biblical. Very powerful confirmation for me. But I agree with a lot of it, I hope more people expose their mind to this knowledge. Wealth is waiting for us, may we all go and get it by ridding ourselves of this poverty mindset.
There are definitely nuggets of truth here that are useful for breaking a poor person out of some self-defeating mindsets. There is also some self-congratulatory messaging that wealth and poverty are simply self-inflicted, strongly implying that the rich need not concern themselves with the poor. On balance though, I think it’s a useful video for someone just starting to think about building financial security. But read some other material on this topic for balance.

I thought it was a fluke until it happened two years in a row, and so I’ve been sticking to investing via an analyst.
Your advisor must be really good. How I can get in touch? My retirement portfolio's decline is a concern, and I could use some guidance.
Vivian Jean Wilhelm is the licensed advisor I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.

I found that all the 17 list of poor people matches me 😢 so I will change it for the better now, thanks for the helpful video.❤

Its crazy how drastically we can fluctuate, simply by tending to either the wrong or right thoughts within the garden of the mind, huh!! 🙏❤️🔥
Risk averse attitude isn't always bad, if recognized and managed. Use it to make best choices, rather than as a reason to avoid attempting anything.
Yes because you are clearly maintaining your moral high ground by never believing yourself equal to any challenge that requires determination or independent thought. What an example that must be… I’m sure your children’s children will be thankful for the legacy you’ve created for them.
@@MDC_1985What bull shit. I retired from working at Social Services. Stuff HAPPENS. I had a guy who was comfortably wealthy, lovely high-priced home, really excellent job. His wife contracted a very rare, insidious disease, that used up the lifetime limit on their VERY good health insurance. Treatments then had to come out of his pocket. There were ways I could advise him so his wife got her treatment & wouldn’t die, but in no way was he on any kind of ‘get rich’ track anymore.
These types of books & videos sell a lie. With the current system in the US (especially health care) it’s Russian roulette at best. Some of the advice is fine if you are just talking quality of life, making sure you don’t end up on the streets etc, but these suggestions are in NO WAY guaranteed to make anyone rich.
I got feeling this video will help them to be multimillionaires within 5-10 years~ As John Lennon said "I rather be rich and happy than poor and miserable"~ Do not forget, low stress, fitness and no process sugars with a whole food diet ~this matters most for Happiness/Longevity!

Hello
Hey, just found your channel the other day and am super grateful. I’ve read or listened to a lot of the books and I love getting your summaries to remind me of important ideas. Appreciate the world you’re doing!
I'm new to your channel but I've watched several of your reviews. This may be your best one so far! As a small business owner I can totally relate to the thought process of both the rich and the poor. I'm going to make my 3 Sons watch this one for sure. Keep up the great work!
Not to brag, but I got tipped $100 from the guy who doesn't normally tip at all. He just said he likes how I took my time, effort and the work I've done. All my coworkers were mad at me 😂. Hey, that's why they call me Money Making Mitch 😅
Hate to see what a brag would look like.
He rewarded you because he was impress by the result what you delivered 👏
Good job, big dawg money maker

Love this but one note: 4th one, there are Risk Managers and Advisors who get paid A LOT of money to advise on challenges, obstacles and risks. Not to advise to stop project or idea, but to go forward with eyes wide open and build in actions to mitigate risks. That’s not a poor people mentality. That’s seeking wise counsel. I’m not totally disagreeing; just pointing that out.
Great summary. I really enjoyed it. There are countless TH-camrs who create book summaries, but this channel is my favorite. The summary is neither too short nor too long. It's perfect to make you feel like you've read the book and gotten the key takeaways.
This video does really fall in place and allignment with my new career. The free workshops and seminars we attend at our meetings revolve around those ideas to help us become more successful. I don t know what to pick first from your presentation, but the last covers all the poor mindset: Poor people are jealous of all rich and succesful people. How many times have YOU heard poor people gossiping the rich? I m curious🤔 what was the most evil comment you ve heard? 😉🤭
True. Nothing can stop me, my mind's made up.
What is your new career ??
10:00 - love your description of your own definition of a wealthy life! Thanks for the detailed example.
I really got a lot from this video. I am on SSDI,at the moment I am going through a difficult time but I know managing my finances is the only way I can feel like I have more money than I actually have.
This video has given me a lot to think about and when I am up to it I can apply some of these techniques to my life. Thank you for sharing.
My cuurent state of life and fears, demanded this video. A big thank you for making everything clearer to me......
Arm > leg! Take care of your health, live within your means, mind your own business. Life is about relationships and helping others. (p.s. stop watching the news)
I’m only on Difference #9, but had to stop and comment on #8. SO TRUE! Complain and blame! That’s all I hear from “poor” people. One of my mantras is “R/R”…no, not railroad crossing, but you can let it remind you of “Respect AND Responsibility.” Show respect and take responsibility. Great video so far!
OK….found #14 to also be very true! Wealth and net worth are far more important than income. It’s not how much you make, it’s what you save and invest that build the most millionaires.

About the money and not learning how to use it (properly): It's the old paradox Aristotle already put in words: If you are uneducated in one area, you don't know that you don't know anything. "The more you know, the more you realize that you don't know." Well, you somehow first gotta learn just enough to get to that realization...
There are other channels doing this but this one is my favorite. Always clearly articulated, broken down super simply, and the stories are impactful!
Handling money is the first step to getting more money I'd agree with that
This is called reverse causality:
The mindset doesn't get people rich or poor.
People adopt a mindset based on their experiences as a rich or poor person, because humans are for a big part product of their experiences.
I really love your content. Thank you for making this! For me that doesn't have the money to buy all these books. I wish I found your TH-cam channel earlier in my life. ❤
Thank you for the 100+ hours you have spent on this video!! It's truly life changing information. You are now one of the successful people I'm going to hang out with 😄 be blessed sister
This is a great video, thankful that you presented to us. The main 2 ideas I take from it are 1) how to split money between investment/education/etc (around minute16) and 2) what gets tracked will be better, so I will set and monitor more KPI in my business
Thank you for summarizing this book, i love the way you presented the hard truth difference between the rich and the poor.
The most powerful book I've ever come across is this one, thanks for confirming my assumption!
I ❤ your videos. I hope people appreciate and use the infornation you put out there. I know from personal experience that, success and getting what you want in life, is only a decision away, followed by, planning, setting goals, descipline, and hard work.......
Rich people focus on opportunities, poor people focus on obstacles, this is amazing, it changes my perspective to see the problems as opportunity, i don't have enough money, there is a opportunity, opportunity to make money, to learn new skillset, to learn more about financial management for me to become financially stable,
if you focus on opportunities you will get more opportunities, that's great, thank you so much i just did what you just had said in the part of listing my net worth and i realize that it is true, it's not about how many books you read, but it's all about on how many books you applied in your real life that matters!
Difference #9
Rich people manage their money well (while mismanaging other people'smoney, never gamble withyour own money when you can use someoneelse'smoney), and poor people mismanage their money (on the advice of rich people, when banks fail it isn't the bankers who go hungry)
Sums up the finance industry perfectly.

It's amazing to me how much of this is Biblical. Very powerful confirmation for me. But I agree with a lot of it, I hope more people expose their mind to this knowledge. Wealth is waiting for us, may we all go and get it by ridding ourselves of this poverty mindset.
Just great and so eye opening too, well done my sister, I’m going to share it with as many people as I possibly can.Thank you so much.

Who defines who's poor? I have never been poor in my life or felt it and I am not a millionaire. Who labels people like that? Who is anyone to say someone is poor. That person is the only one that can define themselves. So many people have wonderful lives that are not rich but they feel rich inside and that's where it counts.
that's literally why she specifically said poor is a MINDSET not monetary. The judgement you feel is your own.
