    I've been in ketosis for over 3.months after finding your videos. The other day, I hiked 10 miles on an empty stomach and took no provisions with me. I didn't feel hungry or thirsty, and the most key benefit was that I never "sugar crashed" even on the big climbs. Amazing. I'm now getting ripped in my 50s. Thank you, your advice and guidence has drastically improved my lifestyle choices and health 🙏💙

      Not keeping hydrated is unwise. Dehydration can cause hikers to become confused and disoriented, which if hiking alone, can quickly lead an otherwise capable hiker to become lost. Dehydration victims often exhibit a lack of appetite from nausea and dizziness. Water with Electrolytes Salt and Potassium in it is needed for for a trek like that.

    • @jasonetheridge2349
      @jasonetheridge2349 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      @@KETO_DIET I understand your comment, but I hydrated beforehand and also learned salt is key, not fluids. I take high grade seasalt in lemon water in the morning. This prevented any headaches and also the requirement for more liquid.
      I cycle and walk for miles and was not advising anyone to try it. But I was fine and felt fit, healthy and focused the entire walk. I will add that I didn't eat or drink immediately when I arrived back home.

      you need to watch your potassium, most folks in ketosis will sooner or later get hypokalemia. better have an eye on this.

      Well done Jason and it's only just the beginning of what is possible, I've been doing this for nearly a year and lost 16kg I was very fit before but now I am unbelievably fit, now it's incredible what I can do at 60yrs old, I run and cycle, I can cycle 100km no breakfast and no food on the ride, my body is in tune with burning my body fat for energy but one thing very important when doing exercise and fasting is to keep up with your electrolytes even when you don't exercise, I make my own its really easy or you can buy them.

    Discovered Dr. Berg on Feb 3, 2023. By the end of March, I was down 18 lbs. The best part about Keto and IF is I am not hungry any more. I used to "live to eat"... Now I "eat to live"... It's now May 31, 2023 and I am down a total of 22 lbs. Most of my friends said I looked fine, I didn't need to lose weight. But honestly, I knew I needed it. Mainly for basic health reasons. 195 down to 173 and counting. That is over 10% of my body weight! I have a goal to hit my high school graduation weight of 165. The exciting part is that I don't care when it happens, I just know if I keep doing what I'm doing it WILL happen. I have always known low/no carb works! I have just never really stuck with it until now. Thank you Dr. Berg! I discovered you because of a random internet search. I think it was my luckiest day ever!

      Don't be so hard on yourself, it's normal for us to have setbacks (that's human)
      Dr. Boz is also insulin resistant and started the keto diet out of solidarity with her cancer-stricken mother and gives lots of good, practical instructions, including in her books.
      I don't do keto to lose weight but to heal my kidneys and nerves. I also have problems with IF. I do a longer fast every few months (max. five to eight days). I want to start a keto group because it's not as easy to deal with setbacks alone as everyone has.
      The most important thing is to check every day whether you are really in ketosis.
      stay strong

    Key things to start doing right now:
    1. Get on the ketogenic diet✔️
    2. Consume a moderate✔️ amount of protein
    3. Consume apple cider✔️ vinegar (one to two tablespoons in water)
    4. Let your appetite dictate✔️ when you eat (eat less frequently)

    Hello. Very good this video, it is the first that I see the causal and temporal relationship between diabetes and hepatic steatosis. I had glycated hemoglobin at 8.5 some 3 months ago, and through the ketogenic diet, daily 18h fasting, and physical exercises, I lost 11kg and the glycated hemoglobin dropped to 6.46
    I skip dinner and make exercises in the morning, and I have absolutely no hypoglycemia symptoms. Soon I will have another ultrasound exam to check if there has been remission of the steatosis, and in parallel, measure the glycated hemoglobin again.
    But this video of yours is very important because it puts the focus on the liver, not just glucose reduction. Congratulations on your perceptiveness in clarifying this to the public.

    After nearly 2 years on Keto/IF losing 100 lbs and reversing my type 2 , I have cheated here and there with birthdays and holidays. I can clearly see that my body does in fact prefer to run on ketones vs glucose. I feel sick after I have eaten carbs even though they were super yummy. I can tell that my body craves to be in ketosis again and my body just runs better without carbs and sugar. Even with a quick little cheat, I feel poisoned.

    STRANGE ! Because the day I was diagnosed I asked how did I GET fatty liver when I did not touch alcohol. And the doctor looked at me and said “ Because you got diabetes first and neglecting to get treated, it went right over into your liver. Et voil’a “. However, you are saying that it is the opposite ! Maybe I will enlighten him with your new data !

    • @carolcole570
      @carolcole570 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@erictheshark9045 Wow ! Truth be known, I don’t think anyone really knows. I think it boils down a lot to the additives in literally ALL of our foods these days. I began with doing keto for several months. Then, dropped that and went to I.F. THIS is when I got my positive results. I have done I.F. for almost two years. My ( actually NA cirrhosis ) has now backed off to “ fatty “ and still continuing to improve, and my A1C is a manageable 6.3. I am satisfied. Oh, currently my liver MELD score is a 6. I am almost 79 years old, down from 165 pounds to 119, and draw crowds when eating my once per day because I literally eat like a Lumberjack. Am relaxing in bed right now planning my baby back rib lunch at Longhorn’s today. I will ignore the loaf of bread, however will eat the loaded baked potato plus a salad, and my blood sugar ought to be fine. Since I only eat once a day, my Endocrinologist says I can take my blood sugar reading only as I go to bed……….and THIS is when I know if I MUST take any insulin for the day. I DO continue to take my Metformin and Januvia after my lunch daily.

    Thank you for this video. It is really beginner friendly.
    My questions are:
    1. The first back bodice, you said you used 0.5" for shoulder slope. On the second back bodice you sloped by another 0.5" that makes it 1". On the first front bodice, you sloped by 1" and on the second front bodice you sloped by another 1", that makes it 2". The question is, was that statement you made while transferring the first back to the new back an error or valid considering that you didn't draft the first back in this video.
    2. Can the 1" shoulder extensions on both new bodices be increased by 3" to 4" ( like the length of a cap sleeves. Some person's hands looks masculine you know). If it is possible, can the armhole and burst extensions still be 1"?
    Sorry for the lengthy question.
