The Scarlet Red PS3 is a rare PS3 console as a limited number were made. LONG LIVE the PS3 however Sony need to make the PS4 backwards compatible.

Great pickups Gem the PS3 is my 2nd favourite Sony console behind the PS1. Also loving the awesome non stop content one of the few TH-camrs who’s videos remain at a consistently high standard.

I've had a red PS3 Slim like this one since 2014, I still use my one for playing Blu Rays and some light gaming every now and again. PS3 Still holds up because the user interface was excellent and it had one of the best built in BD Drives.
That is one of the most beautiful looking consoles I've ever seen.
£50 Is a bloody bargain. I have one too came with 2 scarlet controllers.... one still in the box still sealed as well bought it new when it came out. Lovely colour.... sits under my white ps4 pro but I wish it was a translucent 500 million one instead 🕹😊

My small brother got a scarlet version of the ps3 for only 10,000Php, its alot more cheap on dollars but this is a total sale, it comes with a bunch of games like gta V, wwe, Minecraft, God of wars, Assasins Creed, and alot more, oh and fifa

Hi, do you ever have doubles or trebles of the same game in your collection, if so why? Would you ever pair down to one version of a game and if so which version would you keep?
I'm in the process of clearing out a load of my games to make more space and I have copies of the same titles on ps3 and 360 (some i have 3rd and 4th copies of on ps4 and pc) from various online deals, boot sales, charity shops, cheap cex deals over the years, most are unplayed and am thinking if i play one platform version its unlikely i will play the game a 2nd time on a different platform later due to either being bored with the title, having a huge backlog to get through or having newer titles to play.
World at war was probably the last COD game I bought. PS4 would be awesome with backwards compatibility. Being able to play some of my old games without setting up my PS3 again and playing Under Defeat again. Wow that would be so cool #backwardsps3compatibility #physicalyakuza5inthewest #Ifinallyhavecoffee.

Thats a bargain. Payed £100 for mine but it came with box and red controller on top of a few rubbish sports games. Looks great under my tv but thinking of boxing it up and getting a standard black one to preserve the reds value.

#Thishashtagisrad I've seen these before they were originally a Japan only console. I don't know if they were ever released anywhere else. But Red controllers are common. Nice haul at an amazing price.
TheChromescorpion yes they were released in the uk for a short amount of time then they brought them back out as I got mine when they first came out
Very nice looking console, just bought one today for 35€+7€shipping cost, with one red controller and seven games. It came without cables, guy who was selling it told me that the console doesn't work- now I connected everything with my cables and it works fine, no problems at all!?:) According to consolevariations.com this red PS3 is not super rare, estimated that between 100000 and 1000000 were made.

Avoid Cex have a look at music magpie I just picked up MW2 for the 360 for £4.29 free delivery I know cex hiked the price of this game after it was BC compatibly, they are a complete rip off ,

It's a shame about backwards compatibility with PS3. I think it's down to the Cell processor in the PS3, it's a bit of an odd one hard to emulate.
Talking of new gear I got my 500 Million PS4 dual shock controller today. I would have liked to system, but couldn't justify the cost as I only bought a white PS4 Pro.

The PS4 is never gonna be able to emulate the PS3, even the most power heavy PC struggles to do so, Xbox One Backwards compatibility exists because of Direct X Implementation and a shared development toolset. There is no reason why the next Playstation can't play PS4 Games if they keep using X86 and it might have enough grunt to do PS3 emulation.
