- So confession time, the original fat PS3 is my favorite console design ever. Which got me thinking.. WOAH.. lets do a video on all the cool PS3's out there. We did that with PS4, and now we shall cover the station of 3. Like how I said that? I hope not. Because I sounded dumb.

@@KenyoMurabu not that rare in Japan. There’s a lot in stock in gaming stores in Tokyo. You could buy half of these ps3 used for pretty cheap on this list.

That MGS4 ps3 design signed by Kojima makes me wanna play through the series just because of how awesome it fucking looks.

Oh, yeah! The only limited edition PS3 I own is the Metal Gear 4 60GB gun metal edition; it just looks so cool.
Aside from that, I own (all in original packaging): 2 launch day 60 GB models; 1 80 GB Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle; 1 160 GB Uncharted bundle; 1 360 GB Slim Move bundle and 1 500 GB Super Slim TLOU bundle.

Did you guys know that the original backward compatible PS3 model A01 and E01 are transparent black? Yes the original PS3s came standard transparent black don't believe me try shining a flashlight through the console

The original Sixaxis controllers they came with were also using the same transparent black the consoles had, which looks really cool imo (no rumble support though :/ )

I bougth a nearly mint ps3 80 gig fat for 70 a while back it works perfect but no cables or anything or box but i always wantd a fat one i had a slim that went out so i was like hey thats mine now lmao
It's hard enough to find official Sony ps3 controllers. Cant find them anywhere everytime I search it's always 3rd party crap.
@@MirzaKhalid Yep it sucks, and I play a game called warhawk on the ps3, and to switch weapons you have to use the d pad, which is buggy on the ps4 controller so when I go to kill people online I cant switch to the right weapon on time.
MARQ101HVC go to amazon type ps3 controllers japan version they have only satin silver and blue controllers but they are real and come from japan so it might take a bout 3 or more weeks to get delivered i bought a real silver Sony controller for about 130$

My favorite was the gun metal grey Metal Gear Solid one. I just didn't like that there was no backwards compatibility but the 80 gig Metal Gear Solid bundle had backwards compatibility so I went with that one

I actually know of another PS3 Style not featured. There was a Sly Cooper Design for a contest back when Thieves in Time came out. Although I havent been able to find a picture of it ever.

A super rare PS3 is the black chrome launch model that had no wifi. It got taken out soon after the PS3 came out. It is fully backwards compatible with ps1 and ps2
You forgot one of the most special one's. The unique see through/inside out model gifted to Ken Kutaragi, when he resigned.
The coolest ps3 is the FW 1.6 one i bought a few months ago complete in box. Redid the thermal pads, paste, and liquid metal under the heatspreaders and then put CFW to backup games for faster loading and manual fan control. I keep the fan at 30% at all times and it never goes over 70C under load. This thing should never die on me.

Loved your video and especially your thoughts on the sick ways to display some of the rare fat PS3 consoles like the one for Twisted Metal
and especially Yakuza 3. I wish I had the money for that one too. It’s too bad there never has been a BSG game especially since that series reboot peaked around the time of the PS3. If there had been a fat PS3 with a Cylon raptor on it for example with the word Frak engraved on the back and a boot up voice that said “By Your Command” I’d probably have gone insane looking at it and would have used it everyday.

I remember there was a limited edition Killzone 2 or 3 PS3. I remember it was white and had a hellghast and Killzone decal on top. It also came with boots, I haven't found anything about it online all I remember was seeing a video or picture of it a long time ago.

You forgot to mention the God Of War Ascension Super Slim PS3 bundle. That was an amazing system bundle. I was impressed with it, & bought it.
Here in Portugal the slim version had 3 especial colours for the 3 biggest soccrer teams in the country , one red, one blue and a green one

There actually was another give away for that Red PlayStation 3 at the GameStop Expo in San Antonio in 2012 I remember because I was there it was my 1st convention and I entered the raffle but did not win.

The only on this list i have (well, i have 2, but the second i don't think is that rare) is the MGS4 bundle i got from a friend in China (i belive, don't remeber if it was from there or other country in Asia). Is a E model (CECHExx) i only tried it like twice and put in on a shelf (i power it time to time). I have also a blue slim that came with GT 5, but not as good as the MGS4 bundle one, imo.
Like a big MGS series fan, i would love to have that one that was signed by Hideo Kojima, but unfortunately is way over my budget lol.
Each model of PS3's had plenty revisons (fat had over 8, slims like 4 and super slim a few also).
Good thing about the PS3 and PS4 is that they have a multi voltage power supply so you can use them anywhere
I sold my PS3 slim back around Christmas. A girl I was sweet on wanted to get something for her stepdad, so I gave her a good deal. I do miss my PS3 so I bought an original model online that had it's og storage replaced with a 500gb one. Seller even included a bunch of games. For 160, plus shipping it's a steal. Excited to be able to play ps1, 2, and 3 games again.
There was a gold version of the Slim was so rare that only 5 of them were ever made and had cost $5,000 but they weren’t from that gold company you mentioned. It did come with a gold DualShock 3 controller also. Heck you could get a solid used car at that price. Now I don’t know how common the white Super Slims are but to my knowledge those would be a little harder come by and more expensive than the regular black version.

I bought and restored a 60GB launch PS3 a few years back. It’s basically a Cadillac.
I still use my ps3 since 2012 and I never got a newer console I asked my parents but I still have the ps3

I had all three versions of the PS3. The Phat model played PS2 games. While the Slim version and Super Slim version did not play PS2 games ( at least mine didn't ).

It's the Metal Gear Solid one that came with the PS3 launch because most of those PS3's kicked the bucket due to alot of issues, I don't even have to watch this video to tell you I don't even know why it popped up on my recommendations

One Piece Golden PS3 Slim is the best by far imo. The one I got. Got it on release date to get it imported to the US for $700. And I don't regret it one bit lol.
