Hey, PS3 80 GB Fat Motorstorm bundle was expensive indeed, but after playing my friends ps3 slim, I would never give up my experience with the Fat PS3 for anything, but... I mean that Slim Model just feels so different... Fact was, it was $600 or $800 for my Fat ps3, but the slim was like $100-$200, but thats just it, the console just felt as cheap made as its price tag... its like the quality was taken out, & it just felt un-acceptible to me...
Simon My first game I ever played on a PS3 was Lair I got for Christmas with the system. First game I ever bought my self was Uncharted. Last game I remember playing before going over to PS4 I wanna say family guy lol
First game was uncharted Drakes fortune and I loved it! Last game I beat was Lair just recently. I got the system only a few years ago. It’s been great catching up. I have a ps4 as well but I enjoy visiting the gems from ps3.
I regret ever sellig mine :( i sold it along with the entire .hack series only for those gsmes to go on to be one of the rarest collections worth several hundred for each and more if you have the companion dvd that came with each of the 4 games. Sigh... that was a beast of a system

I freakin love when you make PS3 videos! I just got my first PS3 last year from a guy off Craigslist. It's theps2 hardware backwards compatible version, I replaced the thermal pads and cpu paste, did the fan mod, installed a 250gb SSD, and ran a car buffer over the top so it looks hella shiny now. I love the games and really enjoying everything about it! I wish I got it years ago.
The PS3 was a incredible machine especially the 60 GB model. People who complained about the price of $600 surely underestimated the value and potential of the console. The Ps3 had a unique lifespan with the good and the bad but ultimately it become one of the best selling consoles from the last gen era and I still have my original PS3 slim model that came with the PS move and camera when I bought it back in 2010. Thanks for the video Mystic
I know you mentioned that PS3 beat the 360 in sales near the end which is a fact but tbh most of 360s sales were from people that had to keep buying it again and again due to it's 60-70% failure rate cause of the RROD.
Even at the End, the 360 had a near 2-1 lead in sales in America vs other regions. And the 360 had near zero following in japan. Also the 360's warranty system that was in place allowed most to replace their console in that time span. So I wouldn't count a huge amount as rebuys. No more than the ps3 users replacing theirs with slimer models over time. I know as I replaced my 360 twice for free. I still have my BC PS3 80gb (with 500GB HDD), but I only really ever used it for the exclusives. The Controller was garbage, and most multiplats ran like trash. COD for example never was smooth, Assassins Creed would drop frames all the time. The 360 never had those problems. The 360 also led in features, the XBL party chat and ease of use as a whole was never matched by sony. I love the PS3 for the exclusives, but it really was a half a$$ed system. I got rid of my 360 long ago, and plan of keeping the ps3 for ever. Though mostly for the fact that xbox one can play nearly all decent 360 games. Sony had so many great single player story games. But it was a horrible Online system, and Meh for Multiplat games.

PS3 really was an everything machine, especially the launch models. Just a shame that they were time bombs, and that the CELL chip was so difficult to work with. Maybe we could've gotten more PS3 re-releases on PS4 if the 'demon chip' wasn't such a pain. Games like Ratchet & Clank Into the Nexus looked gorgeous on PS3, and would only look more impressive with the newer hardware. It's amazing how good the PS3 can be when it's giving 100%

LBP2, the OG skate., drag racing online in Gran Turismo 5, spending countless hours in Kino der Toten, being super hyped for MGS4, trying to beat each others times in WipeOut Fury HD, all the free games, and then the hours upon hours of Netflix I consumed. the PS3 was the greatest console ever and I'm glad I was a teenager/young adult during it's lifespan. Now that I'm older my PS3 has been sitting in my closet collecting dust.. what a damn shame.

The PS3 was an absolutely stunning games console for its time - it was way too advanced for 2006! I got many fantastic gaming years out of my ps3 and absolutely loved it. The PS3 will always have a special place in playstation fans hearts as it was the first playstation to offer online capability thus making it so much better than its predecessors. The leap from ps2 to ps3 was just absolutely incredible! I certainly have nothing bad to say about the ps3 anyway thats for sure ......
Love my PS3! Just started revisiting the Dead Space series, restarted DS2 last night, 10 years later I'm still impressed, the sound the scares, all of it. PS4 has better graphics, sure. But doesn't beat PS3 on games and local play.

2021. Just Bought the original PS3 to play the Legend of Spyro trilogy on one console. I’ve lived with Nintendo and the occasional Xbox. I love consoles and am excited to get to know this one.
Every time I see a ps3 related video it just reminds me of my time waiting 3 days in line with a hand full of people till the morning of launch where an additional 28 people showing up hoping to get a ps3 of the 6 that the store receive. And the happy but sad day of buying my first house where when I was moving I was also helping others move out of there place and that taking till 6am when I got home to see all my screens slashed and Windows broken, and my og 60gb ps3 was gone I loved that system so much I need to get another 60gb to fill the void.
Sad to see Sony lack that invitation now. The entirety of Sony is being beaten by Samsung and others now. Ps3 is still a crazy tech marvel when you think about it.
The PS4 is much cheaper for them to make and much easier for developers to make games for. PS3 and even PS2 were notorious for being a pain to develop for. While the PS4 is basically a pc, at least Sony is trying to be innovative with bringing VR to consoles and the PS5's quest to eliminate load times is admirable.
@Versatile Element. Yes mine light up! The blue light for when a disc is inserted and I believe white with no disc. I’m gonna have to look and make sure lol and green for when power is on and red when off/sleep mode. I’m surprised yours doesn’t? I thought they all did. Has to be a different late model
In the middle of 360 and ps3 era 360 definitely was taking the lead. I remember finding out my cousins were playing online for free on PlayStation the entire time and being mind blown.

The Ps3 was and still is the best system all around to ever come out. The massive ps3 library with all the functions of a CECHE01 model while playing with a ps4 dualshock controller is bliss. Thank you Sony for doing something right
You guys know, that youtube is counting likes and dislikes different way than views, right? Clicking on a video doesnt count as view, hovewever you can immediately click on like and that is counting immediately as a like. But you must spent some time with the video, to be counted as view.

Ps3 story is the greatest comeback in videogame History. The launch was disasterous, but in the end it outsold 360

While the PS4 is basically a pc, at least Sony is trying to be innovative with bringing VR to consoles and the PS5's quest to eliminate load times is admirable.

@Versatile Element. Yes mine light up! The blue light for when a disc is inserted and I believe white with no disc. I’m gonna have to look and make sure lol and green for when power is on and red when off/sleep mode. I’m surprised yours doesn’t? I thought they all did. Has to be a different late model

In the middle of 360 and ps3 era 360 definitely was taking the lead. I remember finding out my cousins were playing online for free on PlayStation the entire time and being mind blown.

@@alany2669 I actually only played the 2nd and 3rd got a ps4 a little late the original looked great.. 2 and 3 had great story's and multiplayer though especially 3s online. Very underrated

The Ps3 was and still is the best system all around to ever come out. The massive ps3 library with all the functions of a CECHE01 model while playing with a ps4 dualshock controller is bliss. Thank you Sony for doing something right

You guys know, that youtube is counting likes and dislikes different way than views, right? Clicking on a video doesnt count as view, hovewever you can immediately click on like and that is counting immediately as a like. But you must spent some time with the video, to be counted as view.
