- Khon Kaen is surprisingly modern. This university town is home to an abundance of restaurants, coffee shops, lakes and an incredible amount of live music, 99% of which is Thai music. The city hosts a variety of festivals year-round and it is definitely worth visiting.
*Note that generally for Thai language transliteration spellings in English the "K" sound not followed by an H is actually an unaspirated K rather than a hard "G" sound. The pronunciation explanation I used in the video was merely to keep it simple for those who do not normally study languages.
Khon Kaen is also the home province of my favorite Thai musician, Pee Sadert (พี สะเดิด), a few of his music videos are below. Please don't sue me Peerapat, I'm a fan trying to help you develop a wider international audience!

Hi mate I love Khon Kaen I am in Australia 🇦🇺 and we have some farm land 20 minutes out side of Khon Kaen we are trying to move there in five years. Everything here in Australia 🇦🇺 is so expensive.
KK is great! We also had a fantastic time in Chonnabot which is about 25 minutes south, I may make a video about that. I'm slow responding because I was in the Jungle for a month without internet.
I spent some time in domestic city korat, and look for to KK next month
Korat is pretty cool but I prefer KK for a visit. Make sure to hit up the Tawan Dang!
