I'm really glad Ive got a full PSX/PS2/PS3 setup on. 43" CRT. No competition. But this is a good option for my Pi 4 based cabinet and I'm going to try it out, w/ 2 Dolphin bars. Thanks!
Very cool. Just got the NesPi4 case for my 5 yr old Grandson for Christmas. Added a 256gb SSD that it boots from. I will be adding this light gun next payday. Duck Hunt was one of my favorite games back in the day.

Thanks for the video! I have a front end (on v. 7.2.2) that runs many of the games, but far from all of them, regardless of the emulator. But there's plenty to keep my interest. Lupin the 3rd, anyone? That might be the best one ever. I might have to grab another Dolphin bar and see if I can do 2 players.
Very welcome and thank you for watching! I've heard that x2 Dolphin bars will allow x2 player gaming. However, I've personally not tried two -at this point.
What's the difference between Recalbox and Recalbox reloaded? Do you need Dolphin installed? Will this work on Recalbox 8 and higher? Does it have to be Mayflash or will other bars work? Generic Wii Remotes work or only official Nintendo controls? Thanks!
From my experience whatI learned from this video works great. It's not perfect but it's good enough. Only issue i have the bar can pick up only one controller at a time. I wonder if it needs two separate bars.
Plan to try a 2nd bar soon, I also have a recent video using the sensor bar on Recalbox if interested.
@@WagnersTechTalk two bars is the answer. The second one came in today and it works perfectly. So each each controller needs it's own bar.

Hi sir thank you for the amazing video, does the version 7.2.2 has the light gun game system on it? I downloaded the image for the pc and everything is there but I don't find any light gun system on it, thank you in advance sir
I haven't installed the PC version, so can't 100% confirm what I'm about to say is correct. However, you likely need to copy some light-gun enabled games to the PC's share and restart emulation station for them to show up in the lightgun tab. Let me know how that goes for you. On the Pi 4 after doing that, they were auto-categorized.

Hi Sir sorry took a couple of days for me to try out the system. Yes the pc version is as great as well like you mentioned I copied the games into the respective system folder and the light gun games system popped out with the games. Just love how easy it is to use as well as how smart the system is. It's amazing to see it pick up the light gun games automatically! All thanks to you and your efforts that it is so easy for us viewers! I am thankful I found your page! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Is there a way to adjust the cursor. If I look through the sights, I'm high right of sights

Hello, its really interesting. I tried to do this but the crosshair just works inside in a quarter of the screen. I can't reach that the poinr works in the whole screen. Do you know why? Thanks a lot! I have a original mayflash dolphin bar and original wii controller
I'm guessing it's likely because you're using a 4k TV? The monitor I used (and worked well) was 1080p. If you can adjust the video signal to 1080p on the TV, it may work properly. If not, may try posting your question to the Recalbox forums: forum.recalbox.com as I'm sure they have tried far more TV's/Monitors than I have.
Very exciting how would two players be set up ;is there something that has to be done? I'm very interested in this.
I'm not sure about x2 players at this point. I did purchase a 2nd bar & wii remote to see if it will work. If I'm successful, I'll make a video about it.

@@WagnersTechTalk yeah good looking out on the video you really put me on to something here. So far it seems the bar can only see one controller. Possible each bar may need its own controller.
I never got my wii remotes to work on an image. I guess I try this one....but until then the struggle continues lol

Great tutorial! I love recalbox because key mapping is already done. So it´s just real plug&play! The thing is that I cannot run games in Naomi, Atomiswave or dreamcast and neither some of the Mame games as well. In retropie all games run perfectly but It´s not possible to set the wiimote correctly. So I wanna fix the recalbox issue. I suppose I don´t have the correct BIOS. Any help?
I downloaded the pistolero´s retropie image with only lightgun games. They all work great but I cannot make them play with the wiimote. So if I move the roms and BIOS from that retropie image to recalbox, do u think it should work? I don´t know if there is any compatibility issue between them...
For DC, yes you'll need the BIOS files copied to the image. For MAME / NES, etc. it was just a mater of copying the roms to their respective folders and restart Emulation Station. Hi ! Does your settings works on duckstation ps1 if I'm using retrobat and not pi4 with recalbox ?
This video is for a Pi4 running recalbox (only). I don't have any info. on retrobat at the present time.

Can you use a 3rd party wii mote for it?
Can't say with 100% certainty, I only have the original Wii motes. But, if they are 100% compatible they may be fine.
I got my setup with my 65"tv and getting pretty bad motion control with it. Bummer about it working well on my pi 4b. Any recommendations for possible calibration?
Check if your TV has a "Game Mode" option, this may help. If not, perhaps try a different TV/monitor.

Make sure the sensor bar is set for Mode 2, should work for you.

Does the size of the TV hinder performance?
If your TV has a "Game Mode", enable that. I tried with a 52" VISIO TV sometime last year, it didn't perform well. But the monitor I used in this test was reasonably responsive. I don't think it's necessarily the size of the TV, but some TV's/Monitors will perform better than others.
Hi friend. My game lethal enforces Snes is with buttons alternates. A fire, insteas B button. And i not discover the buttons to reload. Can u help me?
I haven't tried the SNES version, I did play the arcade version if I recall correctly you had to point down off-screen and shoot to reload. Not sure if the SNES version operates the same way.

How to config a second gun as 2nd player?
At present, I only have one Wii Remote & Dolphin Bar, it's not something I can test/try. May want to post this question here for a faster answer: forum.recalbox.com .
hello , is it okay with the accuracy? did you try aimtrak or siden gun?
Accuracy is decent, there is some delay but it's playable. I do not own any Aimtrack/Sinden guns at this time to compare. Hoping to snag one later this year.

I only tested it on a Pi4, not a Pi 3 so not 100% sure.

May want to ask this question on the Batocera forums here: forum.batocera.org I only tested the lightgun support on Recalbox as it was one of the new features added in 7.2 Reloaded.

I'm on 8.0 and cannot get the wiimotes working in game
Make sure the Mayflash Dolphin bar mode is set for 2 and that you've paired the Wiimote to the bar (sync buttons), add your games, restart the Pi and you should be good to go.
@@WagnersTechTalk I got the buttons to work but the crosshair in doesn't move with with the wiimote it's just stagnant in the top left corner. Using OEM wii motes on a pi3
Also just bit the bullet and purchased a pi4 bundle

The gun itself works with the Wii, the Dolphin bar is for use on a PC/Pi.

Chinese bought, does not work well. But I can't buy the original (
Video description has a link to the one I bought, it's for a PC (sensor bar) but of course works on a Pi4 as well. The gun itself is a Wiimote in a plastic case, so of course it works with a Wii. This was designed with emulation in mind.

Not that I'm aware of, probably will be at some point.

I only have one bar, I've heard if you add two it will but I've not personally tried it.
