I am doing everything as you are showing but i can't make it work on the movement. The same method i followed on retroarch on PC and is working great but not on raspbery pi4. i am using my own image. And at the retroarch settings in controls i only have the gun icon without the label "gun start" "gun reload" etc.... When i am inside retroarch menu movement is working great but if i go inside the game is not working. How can i fix it?
my retroarch does not look like this - its the old style one. So when I select+X into that on Alien 3 .. then Settings > Input I dont get Port 1 Binds but Port 1 Controls and there is nothing Lighgun specifc in there? Do I need to get later version? I'm running RetroPie on RPi 4 4GB
After I bind keys to the wiimote The targeting cursor only moves with my controller, not with the wiimote. What part am I missing? Light gun isn't an option on anything I try and it's not working except the buttons mapped. I am also unable to map the A button or trigger button nor can I use them when binding 😔

If I got the Mayflash sensor bar that's in your Wii products link, will that allow my Wiimotes to pair to it instead and be used in RetroPie without having to do the painful Wiimote pairing process from their docs?
I have a raspberry pi3, dolphin bar and 2 wiimotes. The dolphin bar is synced and on mode 2 with the 2 outer lights on the wiimote on. I cannot get the cursor to move on any light gun games but all other functions of the wiimote work. The cursor/cross hair works with the d-pad but not while pointing the light gun/wiimote at the screen. Any suggestions? Is there a setting I'm missing? Went into the game menus and I can't get any game to work other than using the d-pad or joystick and pulling the trigger on the wiimote.
I've never tried in a pi 3 so that could be your issue right there. Not sure. On a pi 4 the process is exactly as outlined. You could take a look at my other video which differs slightly because it's a different build/image but it's still very much in line with this.
can you explain why the 3 games you tried, despite all using the same emulator within retroarch, have to be configured differently?? also why are the settings not kept for each game anyway as the settings you are changing are global settings, not game specific settings arent they? also how does one know out of which of the 3 different methods you have to use on a specific game? seems very convoluted to do this for every single lightgun game
Which image are you using? The 256 saves the 512 it depends on the game/collection. It differs collection by collection and which versions and setups are being used.
I have not done so personally but have heard it can be done however you need two mayflash dolphin bars because you can't pair two with 1 bar and have it work properly.

I've tried saving everything you can through the retroarch settings, remap and core and what not. I'm running VMANs 512gb image. I've literally spent the last 8 hours trying to get this to save. I can't figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Would love if someone who already had the hardware could test this, as a TON of people cannot get the wiimote to connect to PC properly for anything other than Dolphin. It looks like you may have the solution though
@@OfficialChaseBrogan 512gb its funny the other two games on there worked but the sensor doesn’t recognize the gun it shoots up to the upper left of playfield so I figure I’d try to resync it and that didn’t work..then I thought it was the retro pad setting but there’s no light gun icon there..? I have a version 35 batocera running on a PC. It is a full bootable PC so there is no configurations for windows or anything. I have one may flashlight bar and a genuine Wii remote, and it works perfectly for all the games, meme and consuls. I am ordering another mayflash and lightbar because I would like to do two players. Are there any tricks or problems anyone’s having with 2 mayflash bars and two controllers?

He doesn't in the video, but this setup works equally well with a Raspberry pi 4. I can't speak to pi 3s or other versions and if they can sufficiently power the wii bar.
Alot of the tutorials are dated and requires alot of code. You should be able to pair your remote easily now with bluez package. Just hold the red button to sync. Nothing special to do or need. All you need is the wiimote.
Watched when premiered. It gives a true representation of the same quality picture on retro resolutions.

Did you install the bluez package? No problems here on a 3b just hold the red button and it pairs just fine. I had to compile it myself.

Why does it have to be usb 3.1? Will this not work with a zero2w?

RGG I tried the terminator key mapping exactly like yours but the cursor stays right in center the pad works but Gun doesn’t respond
