      hindi basta ginagalaw ang head stock. mas madalas na dahilan ay yong bed, malamang medyo worn out na sya.

    Good evening Prof Johnny. Ano pong klaseng toolbit ang dapat gamitin kapag still casting ang workpiece? Speed?

    • @profjohnny8624
      @profjohnny8624  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mr. Hernandez, kung toolbit ay wala tayo choice kundi carbide, kung insert carbide ay icheck mo sa catalog ng carbide manufacturer, may specification don ng carbide para sa different types of steels. thank you.

      Good day Bryan! ang ginamit kong formula sa rpm calculation ay metric system. pag english system ay 12 ang constant at magiging feet per minute ang unit. thank you for subscribing and keep safe!

  • @fiomarvillapane9697
    @fiomarvillapane9697 ปีที่แล้ว

    in other words, the formula that you say, prof, can't really be used as a basis, and experience will tell you what your rpm is. Am I right, Prof?

    • @fiomarvillapane9697
      @fiomarvillapane9697 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kasi po kung maraming factors para maging dahilan ng hindi mo pagkabit ng calculated formula. Useless din ang formula?

    • @profjohnny8624
      @profjohnny8624  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Fiomar!
      Thank you for watching and subscribing to my youtube channel. Your question inspired me to ask you this question. How will you teach a garde 1 student or a new learner who does not have any experience in any activity that he must engage in in order to aquire the necessary knowledge and skills? My tutorial videos about the basic lathe operations are intended for the new learners who must aquire not just skills but adequate knowledge as well. As an expert and good machinist, he must always find and maintain the best condition of the machine and cutting tools that he is using in order to produce the longest tool life and the best productivity. Thus, it is very important that the speeds and feeds be set correctly for each of the different factors such as the diameter of the work, type of material of the work and cutting tool, etc. Too much speed will quickly dull the cutting tool and result in much time spent in resharpening or setting a tool. Too slow a speed results in a poor cutting action, wasted time and low production. Calculating the rpm using the formula is still very important even if the calculated rpm is not available in the machine for this would be the basis whether the rpm you are going to use is too high or too low.
      Lastly, ang magaling at experienced machinist ay nagsisimula lagi ang pag aaral sa simple ngunit mahahalagang impormasyon. Kapag puro skills ang natutunan at iniaaply ay hindi kelanman malalaman kung tama o sapat na ito. Kaalaman at experience ay mas mabuting laging magkasama para sa mas malawak at mas malalim na pagkatuto. Batid ko na karamihan sa aking mga kapwa machinist ay hindi na nagkacalculate ng rpm lalo na para sa conventional machines kung saan ay limited mga available spindle speeds or rpm. Ganon pa man, gaya ng aking sinabi, mas mabuti pa din ang pinaghalong kaalaman at kasanayan or experience. Thank you for your question Fiomar. See you again. God bless!
