    I like to see some objective and positive feedback relative to Australian conditions, not a review focused on "infotainment and connectivity" which is not worth a pinch 100kms either side of the Paroo. Well done. Mahindra is capable of giving the market a shake. I have a Pikup already ordered from Ben. A few people who have never driven a Mahindra have been negative about what they see as a new player. I have a simple answer "My uncle bought a Landruiser in 1964. 3 speed manual, hi-low ratio and a big petrol engine very similar to a 6 cylinder chev. May people told him he had bought Japanese junk. The vehicle is still operative. How wrong they were. In 10 years time the critics of today may regret their statements too.

    The Scorpio N (especially the 4wd version launchd in Aus.) lacks some of active security/ADAS features which can be a drawback for some people (even here in India) but the sturdy frame build, rugged tires and the TC (AMT) Engine just makes it a great SUV altogether. I have the old Scorpio (2014 model) and I've done somehwere close to 35000 kms so far, still runs like a cheetah (Had to replace the lamps and tires though) 😅

    • @amulyagupta441
      @amulyagupta441 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For Aussie people, a rugged SUV is the one that can take lots of abuse and go offroad, both of which Scorpio is good at. It has been launched as Scorpio and not ScorpioN for Australia.

    • @sugarnads

    • @ozspencers
      @ozspencers 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So-called 'active safety' systems, along with everything else that's controlled by on-board computers, are a big negative for me. They are very distracting, are rarely calibrated well for all conditions, susceptible to 'bugs' in the same way that smartphones are (meaning every dealer update is a throw of the dice) and, being complicated, add many layers of complexity, along with many, many more ways things can go wrong. I haven't driven a current model car yet that doesn't have either an irritating bug or present an outright danger, such as a Nissan's AEB system that decided to hit the brakes when I was doing 110kph through an Italian motorway tunnel, with Ricardo Patrese glued to my bumper.
      Then there's the MG SUV I hired recently. So many bugs and 'features' that drove me insane, I wonder how on Earth the things got approval for sale.
      So, being in the market for a new car, I am favouring cars with FEWER bells and whistles and wary in this regard of 'budget' brands especially.

    Drove the vehicle in South Africa. Was quite impressed. Only thing that bothered me were the following: 1) Absence of a proper blind spot monitoring system 2) Absence of Collision Warning and avoidance system 3) Adaptive Cruise Control 4) The third row bench, would have preferred if it was just a five seater. Will see if Mahindra fixes the above things. Because, especially most of the modern vehicles comes with the above mentioned safety gigs and it's an absolute necessity.
    One more thing, the blind spot monitoring system in XUV700 is quite useless in the night and defeats the purpose. Mahindra should install a proper blind spot monitoring system on the mirrors like all the other manufacturers do

Otherwise, a very nice vehicle for people looking for a fairly capable 4x4 that doesn't drive like a truck - which I think is a killer proposition.

    I'm an Indian and i can tell you that new Scorpio N is trash compared to the old scorpio Mhawk
    The only difference Mahindra made is it's made to look and feel good driving it instead of improving it to tackle very harsh terrain and trails like that of Toyata and Jeep

      @@bestutubevideos5823 Scorpio classic which is S series model does not come with 4x4 so clearly N model is gonna beat classic in terms of off-road capability but we are not talking about classic, Scorpio Mhawk comes with 4x4 made solely with the purpose for off-roading, it is built way ahead of its time, New generation Thar cannot necessarily outperform scorpio MHawk in off-roading even today. Judging from both of Mhawk and Thar performance it is clear which one is better, if Mahindra were to made new generation MHawk instead of N model Thar would've lose out badly...

    Dealers in Australia are unlikely to accept Mahindra. Why would they sell you something that costs a third of other products? Their business is not geared for it. It will come as no surprise that Mahindra and Tata have tried the Australian market before, and both have come to sorry ends. The Australian customer is the loser.

      Last year there were 11 Mahindra dealers, now there are 52 nationally. This is the first time Mahindra has had a factory backed distributor, and that's the real difference - previous attempts were a few containers imported by a dealer - hence no back up. Watch this space mate!
