I do admit that, I was a bit worried when Edith signed all of those papers for Michael without even reading it. It made me suspicious of Michael as some sort on conman who tricked Edith into signing her fortune to him with the promise of marriage, even though he was still technically married to another woman. So it was a relief to find out that Michael’s love for Edith was genuine and he was telling the truth when he made her the sole beneficiary of all of his wealth and assets. They really did loved each other and it’s tragic how it ended between them.

I do wish Gregson had spent more time exploring Portugal. Could have avoided the run in with the brown shirts that ended him. Or was it a run in with contract negotiations, the same illness that killed dear Sybil? 🎭🍿🎭
I cannot decide for the life of me whether or not I prefer this couple or Mary and Matthew! Both are my favorites. Matthew and Michael are missed, very, very much.
2:47 Edith: _I'm afraid I find the idea of a married man flirting with me holy repugnant._ Don't tell that to him, you're the one who was flirting and kissing the married farmer John Drake in the last season.
I loved this relationship in the show and thought Edith had finally found happiness. Spoiler if you haven't watched the whole series: I couldn't believe when he went missing and then seemed to be killed off. Edith and Michael were made for each other and it was so sad that Michael left.
I wish Edith had chosen Greece over Germany. I know I would have and like to think things may have turned out differently for her if she had. Michael was the love of her life. She liked Bertie and later grew very fond of him, but I think she would have preferred to live her life out with Michael, given the choice (title up or down) - and been happier with him, too. They were so well matched.
Yes, I was amazed to hear Portugal and Greece, but then he chose Germany. Was he completely unaware that trouble was already beginning to brew there? I would have expected a journalist to know better? Sad.

I’m writing a fanfic rewriting the events of Downton Abbey and for the life of me I can’t decide whether to have Edith end up with Micheal or Bertie because they’re both wonderful!
The cool thing about Edith is that she has great chemistry with all her 3 suitors, unlike Mary who's perfect with Matthew, but with the other guys it just feels... forced.

Edith has a thing for older men. It’s probably because of the unresolved daddy issues in regards of the love she’d never gotten from her own father when she was little.
I only this month got around to watching the series in its entirety and was impressed mostly by the inability of a single character to correctly use a personal pronoun.
Sight unseen, Michael Gregson fell in Love with Lady Edith for her brains, her intellect, and her opinions about the changing world.

Honestly Ediths charecter became my favorite during the later seasons. Also her clothes were amazing
character
Agreed!
Yes! I remember i saw her as a jealous sister in the first seasons. Now i feel bad! She’s amazing!
Michael Gregson is one of the most adorable character in the series. Also, what a warm and charming smile.

Hi Pokhraj lovely to see a Tiss fanatic here

The scenes between Edith and Michael were always my favorites ; they have a sweet, hopeful poignance that I find very touching.
Charles Edwards is such a good actor. I liked him in The Crown too

My favourite are Sybil and Tom
I preferred Edith and Bertie

I'm glad you said it!
The farmer leaned in to kiss her. She didn't. She didn't initiate. Don't blame her cause that guy can control himself
Maybe it was that experience that taught her a lesson and made her extra wary of Micheal at first
God, sometimes I hate that family for how mean they are to poor Edith
Nothing against Bertie cause he’s awesome but Michael Gregson was perfect for Edith. Love them so much, their story was so sad.
Bertie may have loved her, but she was Gregson's true match
Oh poor Edith. So tragic.
I like this relationship in the series. I think Michael was more suitable for Edith than Bertie.
Men who fall in love with Edith are more of a quality guy. They know exactly what they're in for.

True, they had Edith playing that long suffering unlucky role too long.
Even Portugal. ..
This story was great, I’m sorry that Michael had to die 😭
Go Edith 😄😄😄
He would have been perfect for Edith.
tbh he was the most charming out of all Edith's beau

@ i havent published it yet im working on it

I never liked mr Gregson but I am glad he left her the magazine.

Why did Edith always fall for men who looked like her?! 😂
It’s natural. Human often fall for people who look alike them

GREGSON doesn't look like Edith. He should have went to Greece or Portugal
