- You can design any type of APFC panel with this LT Electrical Panel Design Software. APFC Panel Design or Automatic Power Factor Correction Panel is necessarily required for improving the power factor of plant to reduce heavy losses like heating & burning of machines and cables, savings on penalties, savings on account of heavy bills because of heavy flow of currents in the machines because of low or poor power factor. You can use any make APFC relay to design your panel with Electrical Control Panel Design Software. In this video we have used Siemens 8 Step APFC relay to design the Automatic Power Factor Correction Panel. APFC Panel Design is very easy with this software tool. Electrical engineers, Design Consultants, Panel Board manufacturers can use this software for APFC Panel Design. Just enter the power in KW or KVA for which you need a APFC Panel and current PF as well target PF. It will calculate the KVAR required to attain the target PF. Now you can divide this calculated KVAR in desired steps. KVAR Calculations are done automatically based upon the current PF and target PF of the load. With LT Panel Estimator Tool APFC Panel Design Design is very easy and fast. APFC Panel Design, KVAR Calculation for Capacitor Selection. APFC Relay determines the required PF value to inserted by connecting capacitors after calculating KVAR rating for capacitors.
