    Thank for your great effort. I want to know that why in schemes contactor relays are also used that feed A1 of the capacitor contactor.

    Wow very neatly explained, i just replaced 2 burnt 3pole contactor after switching the mccb the panel nor the meter coming online? There's no fuse holder and there's some thing like a cement resistor in-between A1 & A2 of contactor.any other steps to troubleshoot friend?

      @@williamngamakoua5040 i fixed it friend, the contactor coil was burnt due to transients. I replaced them with the new ones.

    Thank you for your explanation, is this for 3-phase 220 or 3-phase 380? how I size the capacitor if I have 160 Amp CB. and another 100 Amp CB? Very thanks ( Note, where are A1,A2,A3 located?)

      Last time we made one it has 50kvar capacitor bank with 100A fuses.It is obvious if you have 6 stages power factor 50kvar each you can't use 160A main breaker.But it's designer responsibility to size the wright breakers.

      A1 and A2 that's two ends of contactor coil.

    cool vid.at the end of next week but probably later i need to test a 2500A cabinet with 2 prebuilt modules in it.and now i know how they work.and i will we using the word power factor from now on.in dutch the correct term is cosine phi verbeteraar (cosine phi improver) witch it way to hard and long to say.and nobody knows wat u are talking about anyway.

    Are you CT connect in red phase that is complsary have ya any phase use it.

      You can use the ct at any phase but you need to declare it on the relay/regulator.

      There is not a lot to explain.Current transformer measure demand for reactive power. If if the demand for reactive power increases pf relay start switching on individual stages.If there is no demand for reactive power the stages are being switched off.
