Im glad I stumbled on your channel! Your video on the Node was really informative and just the fix I needed for amazons music from my pc. Im really excited to hear the difference in quailty from the Node. Digging your funny outros too! Keep up the good content!
I too just stumbled upon your channel and I hope you continue to produce more content! I'm a long-time NAD owner which eventually lead to drinking the Bluesound Kool-Aid, so I was curious to see what DAC you are using with your Node.
I’m wondering if Apple Music did not sound great through the Blue Sound then how are you outputting the audio from the Blue Sound, digital or analog. And why not simply connect the iPad or iPhone to the Denefrips. You don’t really need to Blue Sound. Or if you want some other streaming service via the Blue Sound in addition to Apple into the Denefrips then you can connect the blue sound to the Denefrips via optical or coaxial.
The Bluesound does not support Hi res Apple Lossless, only down sampled through airplay. I can totally hook up a ipad / iphone to the Pontus, but that takes away from the convenience of being able to control what I want to listen to remotely. Apple music is best suited for portable scenarios where everything is on my lap and I'm using headphones. Have a video on Mojo 2 coming out soon discussing this. Thanks for watching and your comment! 🍻
@@MisterChibs I’m using an 8 metre long usb cable at the moment ran behind furniture and under carpet to my comfy chair that lets me use the iPad “remotely” connected to the amps DAC. Supra brand USB cable ( the more affordable model) and it seems to be working perfectly over that length. I can’t prove I’m getting high res where available but it sure sounds like it.
@@aussie8114 nice, I’m using the same cable (shorter length) from my Bluesound Node to DDC. Really like the way those Supra cables feel. Everyone has different wants and if you don’t mind the cable length + enjoy the sound, there’s no need to change anything. I have an 80Lb German Shepherd that bolts around my house. Long cables can be very costly in this regard. As I type this he’s forcing his squeaky football on my lap and trying to bully me to throw it for him. Haha, wish I could post a pic this here in the comments. *Edit* just uploaded a pic for you in the public comments section of my channel to the effect 😂
@@MisterChibs I was able to basically feed it under the carpet so it’s not visible anywhere, it just pops up through the carpet next to the comfy chair. I was hesitant to get such a long length but the seller assured me it would work flawlessly and he was right. I think because of its seperate wire structure and shielding it can achieve this. No longer need to be using Airplay and by using the amps USB input I got a noticeable jump in quality. I don’t really need a DAC upgrade but the temptation exists. My parents have had 3 German Shepards and my Aunty shows them and is in deep with the National Shepard club. I like all dogs but prefer the smaller breeds.
@@aussie8114 just now noticed your avatar is an Australian shepherd or is it a cattle dog? Photo’s so small on my phone! I’m guessing that’s where your name comes from. Either case, awesome dogs!! Did you see my boy in the community post?
Thanks Ken. I tried out Tidal and decided it wasn’t for me at the time. Going to check out your suggestions! "Let your freak flag fly”rings a bell but not 100% sure I’ve heard it.
Hey Ken, I’ve heard your music, while interesting, listening to a song with 3 or 4 different simultaneous genre, not very harmonious to my ears. I guess everything is possible with the arts, music not being the exception. Modern Pop, Hindu traditional, Jazz, and something else buried in the mix as well Very interesting to say the least !

Hi Rob, thanks for your support! Next vid should be dropping tomorrow! I've got my node hooked up to a Denafrips Pontus II. 🍻
Good review, wait till you hear Qobuz on HiRes music.
Lets make it happen!! So jealous of Qobuz..

2 things. You have to review Tidal streaming as well.
Listen to Tranquility Bass, Let your freak flag fly. Great music, really different.

Okay, follow up to my last comment. This song / album is totally new to me. I like it! Thanks Ken 👍
