I've got to say, I particularly enjoyed this video. No rigid plan, just pure exploration and discovery and just you by yourself. This video is my future in the next five years.
Fuchs is pronounced Fyooks. I have a friend with the same last name. Pro tip from a trucker - if you ever really need a shower, EVERY truck stop in the country has showers. They're usually about $15 unless you purchase 50 Gallons of diesel on the truck side, or you can just ask any trucker for a free shower credit. We give them out all the time because we fuel so much. My average fill up is 200 gallons a day, so I usually have unlimited shower credits. Love's truck stops are the cleanest and nicest. Also, what awning is that? Id love to get one.
I miss Durango so much. Grew up there for first 24 years of my life. Used to ride the train all the time back when it was still a steam engine. Used to go to Tall Timber back when it was a resort before they became exclusively a zipline attraction. Actually flew in there by helicopter once. My mom used to teach all the employees there Wilderness First Responder. I believe the original owner retired and his son John Roy runs it now. It looks like they've run a lot more zip-lines since the last time I was there.
Great channel, great video, exceptional videography and presentation. I thoroughly enjoy the watching your content. Pleasant, respectful and your overall enthusiasm and passion is obvious. Great work.
"Are there too many people on the trails?" Yes, "depends are where you go" as you said, and when. We are fortunate enough to be able to be out during the week and we get deep in, away from where RVs and many others can't and won't go. We rarely see anybody when we do that and it's just the way we like it. Great video as usual.
I enjoy your long-format trip films so I was happy to see this one drop! I camped down in SW Colorado about the same time you were down there for this trip last summer, definitely heading back this coming summer!

Yes, it was a pronghorn antelope. It’s one of the fastest animals on the planet. when I’m driving west and I see a pronghorn, usually in Wyoming, then I know I have made it to the real West. When this happens, a total sense of relaxation hits me..

Hey there. I have just run across your videos and I dig the content. I would like to comment just a little with out being taken as disrespectful. I completely realize that there are a ton of people out here new to the off road thing. I think that’s awesome and drives the market so we can all buy cool stuff. I just want to go on record and say. I myself have been wheeling my whole life on my own and with my family as a child. Long before the days of big aggressive tires and good lift systems. Most every trail that you drive on today had been done many times over and over on stock tires and trucks. When I first started wheeling Moab in 1990 it was in a stock Toyota SR5 doing Lions Back. All over Colorado on stock tires and suspension. I remember an AMC eagle on 33’s and a Detroit killing it. I’m just putting this out there to remind people that you can have fun with way less than you ever think you could…
I say that all the time in my videos. My jeep is built the way it is because I also like to run trails like Pritchett Canyon, Cliff Hanger, Holy Cross, etc. A Gladiator needs more lift and larger tires than a Wrangler because of the wheelbase.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures I know you do, I was more talking about your solo trip when you talked about stock tires not getting the job done. Hi Matt. I really enjoy your videos and very much appreciate the time and effort you put into filming and editing them. I have learned a lot from watching them. I’m purchasing a 4x4 SUV (2024 Land Cruiser) soon and, as of now, I’m really only interested in doing trails a stock 4x4 SUV can handle. In this video you made a comment that any stock 4x4 with “decent clearance” is good for a trail like this. Two questions: (1) What do you consider “decent clearance” from a stock SUV? (2) Would stock suspension and stock all-terrain tires suffice for a trail like this…or even something more difficult?

@OzarkOverlandAdventures this route dosent seem overly technical. Would u say this would be a good route for someone brand new to this hobby? Id like to get out of nw arkansas but im not ready for the more hardcore wheeling. Id love to run this solo and just enjoy the scenery
Where are all the elk? … I have a small elk fillet …
I feel your sentiment man, but we killed them all in the Midwest.
How does one obtain info on your exact routes and GPS locations?
@e-verland ok, so one must pay for the info and the TH-cam video is just an enticement for more money?
I may unsubscribe.
@e-verland I understand, however I'm in my 70's and used to ride the trails. I've been all over north of Silverton Co, Taylor Reservoir, and South Fork. I can't go where I would like to go anymore. However I enjoy living through other's adventures and thus would enjoy following them on a map and knowing exactly where they are.
@@olegig5166pretty sure Ozark posts their GPS tracks to patreon so yes you have to pay for it. Personally I do not love that model so I just don’t do it, the videos are about entertainment and that’s really it. IMO no real reason to unsubscribe just because you do not like something a TH-cam channel does provided you enjoy at least some of their content
@@maddrummerhef your right, I forgot to count to ten. Thanks
I don’t see a Patreon link
It's the first link in the video description.
