      I just bought one myself. I'm a learner rider, 6'4" and 120kg, absolutely perfect beginner bike for me. Love it.

    I bought one of these bikes yesterday. I am very pleased with my purchase. I've had a 1500cc cruiser for the past 12 years (Still have it). I got this for commuting. I've been on the interstate and I got it up to 82 mph easily. I weigh about 135 lbs, so I'm sure that is a factor. I love how nimble it feels. Hopefully I can manage close to 70 mpg. If so, I'm sure I'll continue to be happy.

    I got this bike yesterday and it is the perfect bike for me. other 250cc bikes can't on the inter state but this can do that. It is quiet and smooth.

    I bought this bike for myself 4 months ago, and I'm still having a blast on it. I can say this too, it doesn't matter if the Busa 250 is faster, or the Ninja 250 is faster, I have gotten my CBR up to 90mph, which is well over the speed limit of any public road, so speed doesn't really matter (unless you're an adrenaline junkie, then why are you on a 250 in the first place). And personally... The Busa is just way too bulky for me, but that's personal preference.

    I recently rode one of these little babys into the surface of the Sun and found it surprsingly capable of handling the atmosphere (or lack thereof ) of outerspace. It didn't hold up too well although to the Suns scorching temperatures and virtually melted on impact. I had to walk back to Earth but still I had few complaints, the ride was fun and surprisingly comfortable most of the way.

    The 250R is a perfect beginner's bike. It isnt that fast but its just perfect for Track days/ city commuting.

    I'd rather have the better gas mileage than the extra power. I like it just the way it is.

  • @cheezgrated

    People complained that the earlier bikes with the separate headlamps for low and high beam looked broken, because one headlamp would be on at a time. Win some, lose some. ;)

    When i moved here to The Phllippines, i first bought an CBR 150 R FI. The reason was it was so damn cheap compare to the 250 R and after some mods, it was still cheaper but also faster. It was an excellent city /short trip machine and never had any problems. Then ii bought an CBR 600 RR. Of course a totally different bike. Better for long rides and more stress on City and short rides. The bike don`t like that.I think the CBR 250 R would be great for city, short, to school or just a bike to chill around with on a nice summer day. Maybe something extra beside your car or bigger bike. Am actually planning to buy an single cylinder bike again. Miss that one :)

  • @cheezgrated
    @cheezgrated 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @NguyenEmpir3 He mentioned an aftermarket fuel management and ignition controller by Bazazz (might be the Z-Fi QS quick shift). It momentarily cuts spark just before shifting to allow engine speed to drop and let the next gear engage without trouble. There's a sensor that watches the shift lever.

  • @cheezgrated
    @cheezgrated 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    The stock exhaust looks just fine to me, and most 250 makers want to keep costs down to attract buyers. Aftermarket is a great option if you want a snazzier, higher flowing and more expensive pipe.

  • @Chijousaikyo
    @Chijousaikyo 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I Own an 08 Gixxer750 and I simply love this honda, I think for around town and short trips is great. You just put some money like Bazzaz, better tires and its enough, makes a great bike

  • @cheezgrated
    @cheezgrated 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    It depends how hard you ride the bike. My bike has the fuel computer and the pipe, and I get about 65 mpg in mixed riding. If you're mostly above 8000 rpm, then you're going to use much more fuel. If you relax the throttle, then good economy.
    A Ninja 650 would also consume gas like a compact car if flogged all the time, but you're more likely to get a ticket if you're within or near city limits. A smaller bike lets you play at the limit more easily. See the racing series in Canada for example.

  • @sigilofbolias
    @sigilofbolias 12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Ugh I love this bike but it really does feel sluggish... 2 months in and I'm really craving a 600 already.

  • @cheezgrated
    @cheezgrated 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Different priorities. If you only ever ride in the city, the 250 makes a fantastic commuter or pint-sized sportsbike. When the road opens up on a weekend or after work ride, you might want a bit more punch. Have enough throttle to pick you back up after an enjoyable corner.
    The best setup would be a garage with room for two bikes though. Then you can have it all.

  • @cheezgrated
    @cheezgrated 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Test ride it. My friend was 290 lb and I set the bike to the stiffest preload for him.

  • @cheezgrated
    @cheezgrated 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Go to the dealership with your friend and have her take photos of you on the bike. But once on the road, you're likely having too much fun to worry about looking awkward.

  • @cheezgrated
    @cheezgrated 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    The CBR250R runs lean for emissions and for fuel economy, not performance. A fuel controller makes the mix richer for performance. The aftermarket computers are also tuned for the bike, so they won't cause motor damage or make the bike run poorly if installed correctly.

  • @azanhk1

    Im really looking forward for this bike for my long distance home journey..but i really need some push..

  • @Deniz1923
    @Deniz1923 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for the clarification, I was going nuts trying to figure out whether it was bazas or bazaz' or whatever, you get the point :) I've looked it up from their site, pretty good stuff but comes with a hefty price tag (380 for Z-Fi and 820 for Z-Fi QS). I'd imagine it'd make quite a difference though if one was so inclined to take it to the track for racing.

  • @josephv4226
    @josephv4226 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I agree. Everyone who rides a new bike vs this modified one will wonder why it does not perform the same. As well my Suzuki 750 got over 50 mpg. Wont messing with the mixture be hard on the engine too? They are designed to run at a certain mixture ration for a reason. Does look like a fun bike though.

    They cost twice as much here in Australia which is utterly absurd. There's not really any reason to buy one now that the CBR500R has been released.

  • @barebarekun161
    @barebarekun161 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I previously considering a new CB500F but after bought an old merc i don't have
    money left for it so a 250 is a must for me or i don't have anything to ride to go study.
    Or i can wait for something from aphonda thailand for newer bikes they already released a new Forza 300 here.

  • @CycleCruza

  • @cheezgrated

    It takes time to get to 97 mph. A higher displacement bike will have much more torque to reach the desired speed faster. It makes a difference in group rides.

    • @RRP1992
      @RRP1992 13 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Mine also gets to 97 mph but the engine has a lot of vibrations and feels stressed after about 60-65 mph.

    Bikes have a wet clutch so upshifts dont need to use a clutch if you've got the power on.

  • @nabiji
    @nabiji 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I got hte CBR bececause it was cheaper. Really, the 250 class are learner bikes. It doesn't matter. CBR's are overall cheaper because they are more reliable but the Ninja's do go quicker. Though 'quicker' is a relative term only, because the magnitude of difference between both bikes isn't pronounced. I'm happy with my CBR, will be looking forward to upgrading in a year.

  • @kenmha

    Would something like this be considered as a beginners bike? Motorcycle has been one of my passions, but I'm afraid to ride anything over 400cc.

  • @XMAKEURAGEX
    @XMAKEURAGEX 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    yea true, its just the fact that our family has know a few people that have gotten killed while riding, but i would only be riding about 10km to work each day and i know the roads and its only dangerous if you make it dangerous.

  • @Chijousaikyo

    It is the design of the VFR, they just took advantage of the Iconic name os CBR but is not a CBR, it is a single cylinder VFR

  • @Mikegabbs1

    the kawasaki ninja 250r is faster that the honda cbr because the honda is 1 cylinder and the ninja is 2 meaning it has more torque, but the honda has better suspension (apparently)

  • @begley09
    @begley09 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    See people forget when buying a bike, sure theirs the cost of the bike but then you have to get that bike insured. Being a first year and under 25, you almost pay close to 2/3rds of what the bike is cost. (In Canada,Ontario anyway)

    What was the fuel air ratio device he was talking about called

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    yeah but when you get a 600 your wrists and back will tell you otherwise. Also, you will grow tired of pussyfooting around town within the speed limit. For around town riding the cbr250r is perfect. The low end torque off the line makes this bike excellent for in town riding.
